Absolutely horrible experience. Not realizing the store closes at 8pm, I ordered food for my dog online and went to pick it up. I arrived at the store at 8:10 pm. The doors for the store were opened so I went in there to get my already paid order. When I reached the counter, a blond young lady snapped at me and asked what was I doing. Surprised at her mean attitude towards me, I stated I wanted to pick my online order. She said NO! YOU NEED TO LEAVE! Surprised by this response I inquired why? She said: “We are closed, you need to leave.” I asked the lady if it was possible to pass me my food since it was already paid, and it was literally 2 feet away from her. Again she said NO! YOU NEED TO LEAVE! She looked angry 😡 and I did not want any issues so I walked out. She followed and locked the door behind me. I realized that the store was supposed to be closed but the doors were left opened. I did not know the closing hours after being disrespectfully told to leave, and looking at the hours of operation at the door. This lady definitely have a lot of opportunities to learn what a good customer experience would have being… An example: I am sorry for the inconvenience but at the moment we are closed. I wish I could give you your order but since our computers are already offline, I will not be able to process your order. Please come back tomorrow when are open between such and such time. And I am sorry for the inconvenience again. Have a blessed night. It upsetting to see how customer service is so poor now a days. How do you want YOU, want to be treated???

Great experience at this location. The grooming ladies were awesome. The store is huge, with lots of different profits available and most of them were in stock. There was also an area for training. And the parking lots is pretty spacious. Happy customer. I will be back!

I love this Petco! This is my primary pet store and the employees are extremely nice. I bring my kitten here and they love greeting her when we're in the store They have all the items you can think of for your pet, and the employees are super helpful if you have any questions. One employee helped me to decide which harness to buy and it ended up being a great choice!

I recently had a grooming appointment with Ava at Petco for my toy poodle, and I must express my extreme disappointment with the entire experience. Despite our explicit instructions and a detailed explanation of our desired grooming style, Ava completely disregarded our requests and shaved my dog all the way down. This review aims to highlight the unprofessional behavior and lack of respect shown by Ava towards me and my beloved pet.Upon arrival, my boyfriend and I took the time to explain to Ava the reasons why we switched groomers and the specific length we wanted for our toy poodle. We even mentioned that we diligently brush him every day to ensure he remains knot-free. We emphasized our preference for keeping his hair lengthy and kindly requested that she avoid cutting it short. However, to our dismay, Ava not only cut his hair short but shaved him completely. This was completely contrary to our wishes and a clear failure to follow our instructions.What was even more disheartening was Ava's response when we expressed our dissatisfaction. Instead of offering a sincere apology, she callously stated, "I told you he was matted." This remark was not only false but also incredibly disrespectful considering the time and effort we invest in grooming our dog. We spend at least half an hour each day brushing him, and he has never been matted before. It was truly offensive for Ava to undermine our efforts and dismissively blame us.To compound the issue, Ava continued her condescending attitude by stating, "You have an expensive breed, you should know that." It is completely irrelevant and unprofessional to bring up the cost of a breed when providing grooming services. The quality of care and attention should be consistent, regardless of the breed's price tag. Our disappointment stemmed from the fact that our dog was improperly groomed, not the cost involved.Furthermore, Ava failed to provide a detailed receipt that lists the specifics of the grooming service. This omission seemed to be to her advantage, as it made it difficult for us to have a clear record of the grooming instructions and details. This lack of transparency raises concerns about the professionalism and integrity of the grooming process.Additionally, the duration of the grooming session was shockingly short. Normally, in all my years of having pets, the grooming process has taken significantly longer than the mere two hours Ava spent with my dog. This raises doubts about the thoroughness and attention to detail applied during the grooming.When we sought an explanation for her actions, Ava further demonstrated her lack of accountability by pointing at a Petco chart to justify the length of hair she left on our dog. Astonishingly, it wasn't even the length we specifically requested. Her unwillingness to take responsibility for her mistake and provide a genuine apology was deeply disappointing and unbecoming of a professional groomer.In conclusion, my experience with Ava was beyond unsatisfactory. Her disregard for our explicit instructions, disrespectful comments, failure to provide a detailed receipt, and lack of dedication to the grooming process were extremely disheartening. I expected better service and professionalism from Petco and its staff. I sincerely hope that this review serves as a wake-up call for the grooming department to address these issues and ensure that future customers receive the care and respect they deserve.I strongly advise potential customers to exercise caution when considering Ava as their groomer. It is essential to find a groomer who values your instructions, respects your pet, provides thorough documentation, and dedicates an appropriate amount of time to the grooming process.If I can give it 0 stars for my experience I would! Please see the before & after pictures so you can see my dog was clearly NOT matted!

Not sure what Rafelina Vargas or whatever her name is talking about. Ava grooms my TWO goldendoodles to perfection!! She leaves them nice and long and cute!! My babies have 3 inches of coat and I only trust her with them!! That lady is probably cheap and got basic services and expected Ava to waste her time for free!! AVA IS A GOLDENDOODLE AND POODLE GENIUS!! 10/10!! 6 stars

I took my dog to get groomed multiple times at this location. My experience has always been pleasant. However the last time I took my dog to get groomed. I noticed a quarter size rash appeared on his belly a few days after he was groomed. The rash caused lots of itching and hair loss. Which is an indication that the facility isn't cleaning and disinfectanting properly.

It's Easter Sunday and I volonteer for Blessed Paws Animal Rescue in the very little time off I have... So a dog that was adopted 3 years ago was dumped by the same family who adopted her all way in Loxahatchee far far from home.. Anyway we ended up hearing she was in shelter n now all these years later back in the same rescue that thought she found her forever home... I am a foster mama n thought this girl deserved a grooming/spa day I went in with no appointment and Peter squeezed me In despite it being a holiday n a full schedule thank u for earth angels like yourself that made this very broken dog feel loved n beautiful again

Products are great. The set up? Horrible! I looked all around the store for cat toys. Very difficult to find and nothing is labeled. There was a woman standing there, stocking shelves, saw me looking for things, and did not even turn her head to offer to help. The cashiers were friendly enough, but they really weren’t there, and I would have to seek them out.

I have been shopping at this store for many years for all of our dog's and cat's needs, since the store opened.This last visit, my cat's dry food was not on the shelf. The manager then proceeded to tell me a flat-out lie, that it had been discontinued by the manufacturer. NO, LIAR... your store just decided to stop selling it. I guess a lie is easier than not knowing... but not all customers are stupid.I understand that things change, but for a store manager to lie is reprehensible. I went to the nearby Petsmart and they had the food we needed... they will be getting ALL of our business from now on for all our pets. So sad for a long relationship to end abruptly by an idiot.

Everything was good but charging 10 cents for a little plastic bag is ridiculous. Won’t help save the planet and alienates good consumers. I recycle plastic bags!!!! I’ll avoid Petco, there are a lot of other pet stores that have better customer service.

This was my first time bringing my dog for a nail trim at Petco. In the past, she has had some bad experiences, so she has a lot of anxiety visiting groomers. Also, this had been a difficult week for our family because our beloved cat died.I shared this information with the groomers, Jill and Angela, and they expressed genuine sympathy and took extra special care with my dog, Cena, knowing that she was nervous and mourning the loss of her fur-brother.This is how professional and exceptional these women are—while one grinded Cena’s nails down, the other comforted her by petting her and talking softly to her. Watching how attentive and kind they were to my dog whose stomach was audibly twisting and turning from nerves made me so thankful that I went to Petco.Before leaving the grooming area, they made recommendations about frequency of visits, and how Cena would benefit from nail grinding as opposed to clipping and the reasons why. I was so grateful.

I woke up this morning wanting a pet, like a bird but open to something cuddly too. Went to the nearest Petco in Lake Worth, Florida. The picture was what I saw the entire time at the store. The only employee ( manager ? ) pointed over his shoulder when I asked if they had birds. I had to go find him to ask questions. I asked if there was someone to speak to and help with purchase. After a long delay a woman helped a bit but I didn’t “feel it” so I left. No wonder why retail is suffering. I prefer shopping online but can’t buy a pet online. Drab experience, a few sleepy birds and no other animals to see besides mice waiting to be snakes dinner. Disappointed

My service pup Bella is a big fan of everything Petco! She's one of the few puppies that enjoys getting dressed in an outfit or a pretty 👗dress, and picking out a new snack, bone & treat! She is half pomeranian the other part is papillon (which means 🦋🦋 butterfly, that's why her ears 👂👂are so gorgeous) so she draws a lot of attention from both the staff and other customers.Now if anyone loves attention, it's this little girl! She's a rescue, and a trained PTSD pup as well, living her best life thanks in part to the great employees at this particular store!I think whatever powers ‍♂️ ‍♀️ that be for bringing Bella and I together. I realize every day.... every time I bring her out into public how blessed I actually am. Our interactions with the people and how she brightens🌞 everyone's day from one year olds🤱👼 to 91 year olds 🧓👴👵 everyone every single person that sees her or interacts with her lights them up like they just met an Angel😇😇😇😇😇! She is truly a blessing, not just to me, but to the world🌐🌏🌎🌍.Being greeted by name is really the highlight of our week every time Bella visits and it makes our visits to 🐩❤🐕💕🐶💞🐾🐾 Petco very special. Excellent customer service. This location must have a good manager. Was greeted from across the store when we arrived. A girl opened a second register for us even though the one other customer was almost done checking out. Small selection of collars and leashes(Petsmart is 4X the size) but I still found the perfect one for Bailey.

I love this Petco! The store is clean, organized and well stocked. I haven't tried grooming because my dog has short hair but everyone is always friendly and professional. I am so glad I enrolled my puppy in training classes as soon as I adopted him. The instructor Angela is the best! she is so sweet and knowledgeable and my doggie loves her. He has learned sooo much in such a short time. He was also having really bad allergies and she recommended the perfect food for him. I don't have to treat him with steroids anymore. I bring my dog here at least once a week for his training or get treats or food or toys. Best Petco in the area.

Had Ava groom my doodle and he looked amazing!!! he had a couple matts that i had no problem forking out the extra cash to remove, she hid the short spots so well i couldn't believe that he could look that way. Thank you Ava!! 🏾 🏾 Just wanted to add that my dog was super matted and although he could have been shaved all the way down i payed the extra money to have it all brushed out so my baby could stay fluffy

Brought our small dog for grooming for the first time. Staff is very nice and they don’t push extra things on you. They explain everything in detail. Price is pretty decent. And the cut was great. Ava was super nice and gentle with our dog. Will use them again for sure.

I won’t go to any other groomer if it’s not Ava!!! She is kind and patient and will always make my puppy look her best!! If I have to pay extra for the time spent to brush my matted dog then so be it! Ava will always make sure you get what you pay for 💕

Nice store although not a sole asked if I needed any assistance. Dog toys were too expensive for me....I cannot in good conscience pay $15 for a toy when my English Cocker Spaniel tires of it in a couple of weeks.

I booked online 2 weeks in advance to get my dog groomed at PETCO – LAKE WORTH.We arrived at the place on time and they made us wait 20 minutes at the reception and when the attendant arrived she told she couldn't do the service to our puppy because it would take longer than expected and she wouldn't have time because she had to leave.I explained to her that we were going to travel the next day and that situation would be very harmful for me and my family.She just apologized and said she wouldn’t do it.I asked to speak with the Manager who seemed to be already aware of the irresponsibility and indifference of the attendant and only confirmed that she wouldn’t be possible to assist us.I also asked why didn't they advise me before.Then came the excuse that they tried to contact us but did not get answer!!!. They have our cell phones, our emails, and none of them received messages.Just to reinforcing how lying and disrespect end up becoming evident, the Manager also informed that she saw on her computer system that the last time we were there was a year ago, but our puppy is 10 months old and we have never been to PETCO, not even close to this location.Think of the other better options you have and know that you don't have to go through this.I hope this information can be useful to you and I wish you success.

Honestly my biggest concern is with the bathrooms. They're gross I wouldn't even let my dog go in there to pee.Better than that I think the associates are a little rude and kind of just stare at you instead of being helpful.In the selection isn't as good as I've seen another stores. 🤷🏼‍♀️
