Went in today for the first time and it smelled so horrible. They had several kittens in a rabbit hutch, rabbits in small glass fish tanks. The cages were filthy and most the animals had little to no food and no water. I spoke with one lady about how the animal care was not proper and she just said oh really. They say their a rescue but those poor animal's deserve better. Tried to write a post on their facebook page and they blocked me.Response back:None of those rabbit tanks were 50 gal except maybe the one that was split in 2 with 3 big rabbits in it. I have been to allot of pet stores and yours is not the normal smell it smelt horrible. It seems like you rather argue that your place is well kept then actually clean thier cages or in your case tiny fish tanks. I'm an animal lover and being in your pet store broke my heart.

These people are dirty and treat their animals just as dirty! Make sure you check your animals paperwork before you buy it! They buy their animals from Tiffanies LLc which gets her dogs from samples creek a puppy mill! This is their 3rd location in less than a year and a half..... They must be giving people "discounts" for good reviews i can see they are just clicked stars and not leaving any feed back about the animals they have bought! Except the one from theyre Employes and friends like Mary Waters John Philips and Michelle Shain which are just three names of people who have left reviews and work there!!Added 9-9-2017- Michelle you can only do slander if its not true.. You sold me a dog that had Kennel Cough (which I have paperwork from your old vet), a double eye infection and ear infection I have all my paperwork including the paperwork that you gave me that has samples creek all over it. This is your third location you had a location before the winter haven location in Lake Wales, the Winter Haven location, and now this location and im not the only review saying how you guys dont take care of the answers and how it smells so good luck with that! And i will continue to try and warn people because if you will scam your neighbor who wont you scam!!!

My husband and I visited Happy Tails in August of 2017. We were just supposed to walk in and look around. I did think the condition the puppies were in was questionable. Newspaper clippings that were soiled, food and water bowls knocked over and empty, and all of them being confined in such small spaces. It made me a little uncomfortable and sad for them. At the time, however, I didn’t think too much on it. Yes, the store has an odor, but what pet store doesn’t? Let’s stop pretending like Pet Stores are supposed to smell like gardens of flowers. One of the employees was nice enough to let us know they offered financing if we were thinking of purchasing a puppy. My husband and I decided to take home their female boxer. The employees were courteous, friendly, and walked us through the process of purchasing a pup with ease, however, my boxer was sick and remains sick to this day. She was diagnosed (by the vet of their choice) with an upper respiratory infection within the first few days of having her home. She was put on antibiotics. Shortly after, she developed kennel cough and had to be put on more steroids and antibiotics. I also noticed every time our pup would urinate she would have discharge that came with it. We could not continue to see the vet that was originally recommended because their prices for visits and medicine were unreasonable for us. We took our pup to the SPCA to be treated. She was diagnosed with Puppy Vaginitis and several hundreds of dollars later (we’re almost up to the amount we paid for her in just 5 short months) she is still unwell. We’re coming up on 6 weeks of antibiotics now still trying to get her well. We have not pinpointed why nothing is working. We have enjoyed very little of our time with her thus far because she has been sick for the time we have had her. She suffers from urinary incontinece, it affects her appetite, etc. :( She needs to be closely monitored because of this. My husband and I know for a fact she had the discharge and has been sick in some form or another since we purchased her at the beginning of August. To be fair, we have never called or reached out to the store owner because it was our understanding that once you purchased a pup it was yours and if anything was wrong we were on our own. I’m not here to cause a stir, just wanted to leave my honest review about our experience with this pet store. My heart is so broken for my dog because it has got to be uncomfortable for her to be sick, especially this long. It’s all she’s known, really. Vet visits and antibiotics. I’ve read all the other reviews and if there is any truth about the puppy mills that is shameful but I am glad we were able to take one home and get her away from that. As far as the process, it was fairly quick and easy to purchase a pup from here. We were lied to about our boxer being sold by a local breeder/dealer, too. She is from up north. It says where she was bred on her papers. Would we come back here again to purchase a pup? Absolutely not. Our boxer was over $1000 and we have almost exceeded that amount in 5 months with all the visits, tests, and medicine that has had to be purchased. I would not buy any live animal from here again for fear of the same thing happening. I hope this helps someone. Please consider all your options beforehand and do your research. I do not have a personal vendetta against anyone, I am not angry, I am just trying to save someone money, heartache, and the headache something like this causes. God bless.

Please be very cautious of this place. These puppies are not in good health. I have seen 2 health certificates and records of puppies that have been purchased at this Pet Store. They were all way too young to be given vaccines. One of the puppies that I had seen with records had a severe infection and was also severely anemic, thank goodness the owners were compliant and took to a vet office right away and they gave him the health that he needed and he recovered well. One of the puppies did not end that way, because the puppy was already to sick and weak. Do your research before buying a puppy. Its not that people are against pet stores, people are against places like this because its all about the money and not the care of the puppies. I actually purchased my 9yr old shelty from a pet store and she has been in great health since. I really wouldnt even give this place a one star. Please people that have purchased puppies from the store, go on and write a review. Help the rest of the people out there that were like you and didn't know. These reviews are what will help. Maybe they will start to realize there is a concern here and they will get these puppies in better condition and give them the healthy lives they deserve.

I bought a standard poodle from them. She is wonderful and I love her so much. I agreed to pay $850 for her but they charged me $ 950 on the final bill plus I had given them a $109 deposit that I didn’t get credit for. So I paid an extra $200 for my dog. I called the lady that owns the store and she said she’d get back to me, well it’s been 6 months and I’ve heard nothing. Thank god my dog is healthy or I would of sued them.

Purchased puppies at this store, people were very helpful beforehand. I noticed none of the five star reviews actually say they purchased animals here, maybe they did and didn't say so. We absolutely Love our new puppies, but I will say do your research if you are not a dog expert! Our puppies came from puppy mills...in Missouri! Some people may be ok with this but I'd like to think that most dog lovers are Not. The store assured me that they Never buy from puppy mills, but I have paperwork showing exactly where they came from, one of which is listed two years in a row on the Humane Societies Worst 100!! Did not know until after we got home with them and read through all of their "papers" which are not AKC registered but APRI registered which is not done by DNA or any actual pure breed testing by the registry, simply by paperwork. Ironically, some of the info on our "registry" paperwork was crossed out and handwritten?! We are still waiting for clarification on how this is possible and how we are supposed to get a legit registry out of that. Will be taking them to the vet in a couple of days so hopefully they are perfectly healthy and we'll continue on but will Never go to this pet store for another pet. We adore our new additions but will stick to adoption or private, Local breeders from now on. Do your research unlike we did!! If you're fine with puppy mills and non AKC "registered" puppies for the price of breeder, AKC registered dogs, then I hope you have a good experience. I am not a dog expert, but would rather put money into adoption where they care about the animals than into a pet store that is more about profit.And to comment on a post a while back by the owner (in response to another review) that their puppies are never given vaccines too early but at 7 weeks old, both of our puppies show they were given vaccines before they were even 4 weeks old. So either our shot records are also wrong, or that statement is wrong…?Update on our pups, unfortunately they did not turn out to be very healthy. We went to the vet Happy Tails "requires" you to go to and he couldn't figure out what was wrong with our pups and diagnosed and medicated them as kennel cough and colitis?! A week later they were even more sick so we tried a second vet who diagnosed them with yes, kennel cough and a Parasite that needed immediate treatment plus a week of medications, which would have been found the week before with proper testing instead of just looking at them and not conducting tests. Our poor babies have been sick and medicated since we got them (not to mention hundreds of dollars later). Also Never received confirmation from the store of Exactly where our babies came from once we mentioned them using puppy mills. I cannot believe how these babies are treated and sold, makes me very sad.Update: Our babies have recovered well and are at this point very healthy & happy. Pet store did work with us and reimburse most vet costs for our troubles. Thank you.

Needs new employees who actually know how to care for animals and clean up after them.Employees did not care that young kids were picking up the guinea pigs and hamsters and tossing them back into their cages. Store smelled bad. Employees did not help anyone in the store, they just stood around gossiping with each other. They made no effort to assist anyone, clean any of the dirty cages or clean up the puppies pens.I also asked if I could pet the puppies before I ever touched or went near one and was told that I could pet/handle any and all that I wanted to. I was thinking of actually purchasing a puppy because this is a small business and wanted to see what some of the breeds looked like in person and I would rather support a small business than a big box store. I'm an animal lover and have my own bunch of fur babies at home so I have no shame baby talking or interacting with animals or puppies and I also know how to properly do so. So, I went around and pet, baby talked and scratched the bellies of all the puppies that were not getting any attention from other costumers - about 5 all together. I spent about four or five minutes with each and they were loving it. But I felt extremely uncomfortable because each time I interacted with one of the puppies the employee I asked about petting was across the room staring at me in this extremely angry way. She didn't look at anyone else but me. She never approached me, never said anything to me and never made any motions for me at all but just kept staring at me. I felt like I was doing something wrong or that she had some sort of brewing hatred for me and I never met her in my life. It was weird and I promptly left because I felt so uncomfortable.

Our visit to this Pet store was was suppose to be a good experience...we had exactly the opposite. We could not stay in the store for longer than a couple of minutes. This store had a horrendous smell because of all of the litter boxes that had not been cleaned out. Also, the dogs had newspaper that they used for when they had to go to the bathroom, but the dirty and used newspaper was all over the floor and not one of the employees even cared enough to clean it up. They had such beautiful animals in such a horrific environment. The staff at the store looked like they just did not care at all. When we walked in nobody welcomed us and nobody asked if we needed help finding anything...nobody said anything. The employees just did not care for the animals at all. The condition that place is in and breaks my heart.

Stopped in today to check out available pups. First thing I noticed is that there is NO potty smell to knock you at the door. Puppies/other pets were clean, healthy and bouncing around. Staff was very nice and didn't mind answering my dozen or so questions. Prices seem on par with the rest of the puppy stores in the area.

BEWARE!!! STORE IS EXTREMELY UNETHICAL!!!I called the pet store last Thursday (8/3/2017) and talked to the owner there about getting a rescue dog. She stated that they had just gotten 2 rescue puppies in but they needed to get checked out by the vet on Saturday. When I asked her about the price, she stated "WE DO NOT MAKE MONEY OFF OF RESCUE DOGS, WE JUST CHARGE FOR THE SHOTS FROM THE VET." Wow! How noble I thought...I went to see the puppies that Sunday (8/6/2017) and there was one left (they claimed the other had issues at the vet) and I asked to see the paperwork for the shots. I then asked how much the shots ended up costing as that would be how much I owed according to what I was told by the owner on Thursday. The store worker then told me the puppy was $499.00!!! Are you kidding me? The owner was not in so I proceeded to tell the lady what the owner told me and of course she was like "Really? No, I don't think that's the case, let me call the owner..." The owner then proceeded to renege on her word and state that wasn't the case and the puppy was $499.00. Oh really, so is it common practice for you to sell a RESCUE dog you just got in a few days ago for FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS?!? THIS REEKS AS BAD AS THE STORE DID AND IT ALL BOILS DOWN TO GREED AND UNETHICAL PRACTICES BY THIS STORE. DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING RELATED TO THIS STORE AS I AM A FIRSTHAND WITNESS TO THEIR FLAT OUT LYING AND UNETHICAL BEHAVIOR.

I would not recommend this store to anybody. not even my closest enemy! the smell was so bad can breathe. a full grown rabbit in a guinea pig cage.the animals were not being taken very good care of. crickets chewing on lizards it was awful save some time and just go to PetSmart.

OMG where do i begin? 1st of all the pics u see here, w the separate lil rooms w dog beds in them , total b.s. and of course the smell. I've been to shelters w way more dogs and no smell like this place. I really feel like they shouldn't be allowed to profit from their negligence to care for the pups. It breaks my heart to see these poor pupsNo water, no food, no toys in the pens for them . And the employees again OMG, there was some chic sitting on her ass eating. I said something about the pups need water, she told me quote. I give.them water but they just knock it over. I so want to meet this owner ! Put her in a cage n not feed or water her or brush her hair! One pup had clumps of matted hair all over the poor baby. I can go on n on.... Go ahead owner and threaten me w slander. Bring it ! You should be ashamed of your self. Please I invite everyone to see for your self. I'm not a trouble maker or have any motive except to make things better for the animals.

Wowwwww won’t ever come back here anymore. I’m a pet lover, and theses animals are suffering here. First of all puppies don’t have energy... they don’t have water or food. One of the dogs had scars of cigarette. Will be calling animal services
