Edit: don't go in this store if you're not Mexican. They don't want us here. I had to learn that the very hard way. Even if you look like you're not Hispanic the feeling you have of unease is for good reason. Me my kids and my sister went yesterday (my kids dad is Porto Rican but they have my blond hair and blue eyes and they stay inside so they're not as tan as they could be) and we had $200worth of groceries up on the counter. They started speaking on Spanish and I assumed they were just having a conversation. I'm not so sure the conversation was about us or not now because the man the lady at the counter had the audacity to ask me out of the blue "so are you Mexican or you just want to be Mexican." I educated him on how I want to make sure my kids know about food from their culture due to their father and I no longer being in contact and me not wanting them to lose their culture just because I'm not with him anymore. My sister is a POC and when we got back into the car and I told her what he said she was pissed to say the least because she had to deal with that all of the time. I'm the positive type and told her I was going to take it as a learning moment and try to appreciate being able to know what she has to go through every day. And as a side note try to be kind to someone today. We live in a world where we need more kindness.Original review:*****We were so happy when we saw this place!! Horrible customer service. The food is just as bad. They steal!! The lady in the front at the cash register is mean and ugly and a thief. I got 5 different items and it seems like they all were $10 dollars each. I got 1 pound of barbacoa. 1 pack of heated up tortillas. 1 small plate of rice. 1 lb of chicharones and 1 bag of Mexican pinwheels. How does that add up to $56.74?? Charged my stuff before I got done shopping. When she could have checked out other people in line ready. She did this as I felt rushed to get back to the counter since the girl forgot my chicharones I asked for. They are rude and don't answer the phone in order to clarify the prices. They know exactly what they are doing that's why they won't answer me. I called to speak to the manager and she claims he don't work there and she never knows when he will be there. When I clearly saw him yesterday before he left. The girl serving the food was rude she can't even talk to you in either language. I tried communicating in English and Spanish and still no response. Just ignores you and leaves every chance she gets. She had no gloves and kept touching everything. The rice was awful tasted so bad I had to throw it away. Do not waste your time or money here.

This could have been a 5 star visit, plenty of Mexican items. A little disappointed that there was not a representation of foods from the rest of Latin America. The meals are delicious and a fantastic value, but you find out when you pay.. The down side no menu board, no prices , there are plastic containers with breads or pastries, but no prices or descriptions.
