If I could give zero star I would..! Very rude employee by the name of JAMIE!Today I was verbally abused by “JAMIE” at the Lake Alfred location. From the time I walked in I was watched and followed. My child had a ball tossing it up in the air. I told her to put it down, as I continue looking for the clearance items. I heard JAMIE rudely tell the kids not to run and play with balls in the store. I didn’t hear the whole conversation so I asked, when she came to the front was there a problem. So she rudely proceeded to tell me what she said. And add it was “lots of cameras in the store”! I told her I don’t care about the cameras because I don’t steal.. ect.. JAMIE TOLD ME TO GET OUT THE STORE AND USE MY FOOD STAMP CARD SOME WHERE ELSE..!I informed her I didn’t get food stamps and that was rude, unprofessional and she need to do her job at the little Dollar store. She told me she didn’t need a job she work for fun because her husband got a lot of money..( BUT SHE’S THERE EVERY DAY) BY THAT TIME Maurice the store manager came out.. he took me outside and asked me what happened.. he apologized and I told him I wanted the corporate number. (MARIA CALLED 15mins later)I went back inside for a pen and she was talking about me to another customer.. Still being rude..!Since there are so many cameras I urge you to watch the video!I’m livid..!!Not only was it rude, unprofessional, disrespectful it was totally unnecessary and embarrassing to a loyal customer like myself..!

IF I could give 0 start I would but the only person that I will give a 0 star is JAMIE that’s a supervisor yes I said if SUPERVISOR I purchase some curtains high curtains it was small curtains like a hour I came back to exchange or get my money back because it was wrong I did t have a receipt or boxes but they just SEEN ME by that stuff I went in and ask the sweet white last that has much RESPECT I told her the situation as Jamie turn around with a ugly face so I was explaining. That I wanted to change curtains as she was catching a attitude I told her she don’t need to be a supervisor at ALL she made me leave with nothing that I payed for I simply said she was acting like a B She got loud and said she call police she follow me out the store threading to call the police which I didn’t touch her thank GOD for the little lady that help me JAMIE don’t need to be a supervisor she made it seem she was better than the lady that work there positions need to be turn around GIVE that lady a better positions instead of Jamie!!!! Oh yea I went to another store a got a curtains I wanted LOL I always get my way thanks Jamie oh yea the other store told me your name btw and the lady that you was talking to Mr.MAURICE and the little lady is the only people I will respect the rest of them I could care less for

I REALLY like this particular store! I'd easily give it 5 stars but the beer cooler is usually pretty bare-especially the beer on sale. If they kept it re-stocked regularly-so you could buy cold beer-vs. HOT beer-I would easily have given a 5 star rsting! I shop at this DG in Lake Alfred almost daily as it's less than 1/2 a mile away. The cashiers-all of them- are very nice, and the General Manager actually Manages vs hiding in the office/is never available when needed-as I've seen/experienced at many other DG stores. You can tell she is tough but fair.The grocery section is limited-but has the essentials. Another plus-This store is usually well stocked with sale items vs the sale/clearance items being picked over. I have shopped regularly at Dollar General stores and DG Markets for many years. This is one of my favorites. Especially because how nice the staff is and the manager's efficiency.

Store was in complete disarray. Aisle floors were filthy, sticky and you're lucky if you don't trip over ANYTHING going down each row. The best I can say for this store unfortunately was the cashier actually stopped for a second from talking to her friends standing there to scan our items so we could leave. I do not recommend this particular dollar General to anyone

I absolutely love shopping here. The employees are all friendly and they always greet you with a smile and a welcome to Dollar General as you walk in. Now the General Manager, Maurice is the most wonderful, friendly and nicest GM I have ever met. I love the atmosphere here while I'm shopping. The only downside is the store is on the small side and corporate is always sending way to much merchandise so it's always crowded. They should stop or build him a bigger store.

***** Update***** my old post was from a year ago. I went back last night and the store has improved so much. It’s clean, it’s not hot, things are priced and put away. The manager Heather is wonderful. The store has 100% turned around. —-old post— I don’t believe the good reviews to be true. I live by this store. It’s an eye sore. You can’t find anything because nothing is ever unpacked it’s just left in carts in the center of the aisles. The things on the shelves are generally not priced. Not to mention the store is dirty. And during the summer it’s hot like the AC is broke or they don’t use it.

The store is well stocked with a variety of things we need. It is perfect for our small city and sticking close to home--it can be a pain to drive another town over to pick up a few groceries. Dollar General usual has reasonably comparable prices and many quality store brand items.

Hi everyone just make sure you dont have car trouble at this store they have your car towed it has become a very unpleasant place to shop bc of certain worker oh there are no signs about parking and the tow company also will be sued for unlawful towing

They really have great customer service who will go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. I especially recommend Demi she is the sweetest and does an excellent job!! They especially help you with Saturday's discount of $5 off when you purchase $20 or more.

When we rode bikes to the store and it was still daylight outside and we shopped for maybe about an hour, so by this time it was dark out. We were outside the store putting batteries(which we had just purchased) in our lights on our bikes. A lady from the store came out and said that the had complaints from several customers and asked us to move to the side of the store. So by the time we put all the items we just purchased from this store on our bicycle trailer and secured it we moved to the parking lot next door just to look back and realize this lady called the police on us. The only thing we did wrong was shop at this store! But never again, and I will be calling Dollar General's Corporate Office about this.

Check out the everythung is a dollar eisle! Normally low prices on milk. Clean. If you are buying tobacco/alcoholic products make sure you bring your ID! Friendly staff and employees. Lots of room to park.

Well this one looked alittle dingy. Just needs some paint and strip the doors or new tile maybe . Just didn't look as bright as most the other ones I've been to. But don't misunder stand it was clean . not spells or dirt or trash in the floor.

No matter what time of day I go there, I have a hard time navigating the aisles because they leave all the u-carts in the aisles. When I worked for this store at another location everything had to be put up and away by 12 on Sunday ( the only day)
