Went there due to having a toothache. Had to wait over 5 minutes to find a cashier. Then I walked out the door and turned around immediately because I bought orajel for mouth not tooth. I was informed that although I barely walked outside the door I could not exchange it for the right med. The package was still factory sealed and could not exchange for the right product. I will not go there again if this is how they treat customers. Plus paid more than if I went to Walmart. Ridiculous!!!!

Aisles always full, cold food left sitting out, got food poisoning 2x from buying their cold food, won't buy again, prices are sometimes over 1 to 5 dollars over prices listed on shelf, prices are higher on food than at local grocery stores, management is rude, you cant walk through store, many dangerous situations for customers. As an update to my previous review, if the store would actually find a capable, customer oriented manager the store could be a good place to shop. The current management has a very rude, condescending attitude towards customers, likes to pretend she is above her customers. Makes statements that are based on her bias, not true DG policy, treats some of her employees rudely, they fear for their jobs. Just a suggestion, find new management with manager skills like politeness, leadership, and just plain social interaction.

Went into this store to ask why they haven’t read back to an email that I sent out for an work application about an month ago and one employee says that everything has been SUPER busy and that the manager hasn’t had any time to check but is in the back and i’m more welcomed to check to see if she was there . Went to the back and asked “ Are you Jess “ and she replied with an snotty tone but i ignored . From doing so , I ask if she is hiring since I put in an application and she answers in such an disgusting tone it was unbelievable , Saying “ No i’m not looking to hire anyone “ and then practically gestures me to go away . The store is absolutely disgusting and never actually clean , With the front door being boarded up with wood and not actually being fixed even though it’s been like this for almost 2 years now . They obviously need MORE workers as they really only have 1 cashier up at the front catering to 1 - 15 customers at an time . This is honestly disgusting and disappointing and rather disrespectful . Get this fixed .

I love shopping here. I go up there everyday just to see the new items that have been stocked. Joanne is the best she is always super helpful and pleasant. Jess the manager is always working hard to make sure the store is stocked and in order.

I left my original review below (as a reminder to DG Upper Management) but here's an UPDATE, from 0 stars to 4 because apparently my complaints to DG were finally seen...I started sending DG bad/honest reviews about this store "many months ago" (then sent them direct Emails, plus my original review here) towards the end of 2022. And this store has "finally been re-stocking the shelves". It took them a week to do it but it was nice to finally see "hundreds of empty boxes outside waiting to be picked up". Sad that it took so long to fix a "simple shelf restocking issue" but hopefully it won't ever happen at this store again...Original review:I would give 0 stars if it was an option... This DG has a "SERIOUSLY BAD MANAGEMENT ISSUE". I couldn't have been happier when this store opened (1.5 miles from home and I drive by it every time I go anywhere vs I used to drive 6 miles each way to the next closets DG). But this past year this store has slowly but surely turned into the WORST STORE EVER when it comes to "NOT HAVING PRODUCTS ON THE SHELVES". Some shelves stay empty for WEEKS and when I ask what the problem is I've always been told (by several employees all through 2022) that "it's a management issue". This is obviously true because 1: the 6-mile store pretty much "always has what's want/needed" ON THE SHELVES and 2: I have seen the store room many times (doors are always open) and it's almost always WALL TO WALL FULL OF PRODUCTS THAT WOULD GET SOLD IF THEY WERE ON THE SHELVES!?!?!? So between that and (as others have commented here) I have also been over charged several times because the prices posted on the shelves are lower than what comes up on the register = "SERIOUSLY BAD MANAGEMENT"...

Love love love it. Within walking or biking distance. Every employee I've met has been friendly and well versed with where items are located. Fresh produce, frozen foods, decent home decor items. Because of its rural location, they need to do some tweaking on which items seem to go the quickest. We, backwoods, country folk, gotta indulge our own ways of livin'.

I go to Dollar General for a quick visit to get a few necessary things. It usually doesn't take more than 15 minutes..not this time. The store is new, wider aisles and easy to navigate... however there was only one person working the register. The do it yourself register was down and this poor lady was back there trying hard to get us all done but problems happen. I can't blame her but the store needs more help. 7 people in line, I was number 4. It took a half hour of waiting before it was my turn. I felt so bad for the woman behind the counter...she kept her composer and was very pleasant but it was a ridiculous wait time.

CHECK THE PRICESThe price marked on the shelf is not the proce charged.I have went in multiple times recently and almost every item cost between .20 and 3.00 more.This is a scam and not honerable buisness practices.Trust is hard to earn and easy to loose, my trust in this establishment has been lost.I will shop elsewhere even if i have to pay more and drive longer.

Double check your receipt as the price your seeing on the shelf are not what you're being charged was charged between $0.25 and $3 more for products today absolutely ridiculous that this store continues to do this I have reported it to consumer products officeWent as far as to go back in with the receipt and double check the price on the Shelf versus the receiptI will no longer shop in this store and be ripped offThe store needs new management and a good cleaning

I know its a new store and all, but it was very clean and had plenty of room to go through all the isles. I am very impressed with the stock of the store as well. I hope this store will continue as it is now.

Newest DG in town. We now have 3 even in our little community and a 4th if you count the 10 minute drive to the next village. However, this one is the LARGEST one I've ever been in. Refrig\Feezer section is huge, runs entire length of the store. Fresh Produce as well. VERY brightly lit, not dim and dingy like some DG's. Truly like a little Wal-Mart. Very friendly helpful workers. Top Notch !

Bigger store so more selection. Has a frozen food section and bathrooms. Usually only one cashier so avoid afternoons and evenings.
