Firstly, let me say that EVERYTHING the many other negative reviews claim to be true is TRUE about this store. roach eggs, depleted selection, embarrassingly understaffed, attitude ridden employees, etc. All that said, I'm going to vent and share this recent TERRIBLE experience...Tonight I needed to pick up groceries between two tightly scheduled events, so I hesitatntly scheduled groceries for a pick up at the closest Walmart to me , the Baymeadows Neighborhood Market location, between 9-10 pm. We arrived at 9:40pm, pulled into pick up spot #3. The app wasn't working to check in, so I called the number on the sign ... no one answered the phone. after numerous attempts, I FINALLY got the app to work and was checked in. Still, no one came out to my car. I kept calling the store and still no answer. So I called corporate customer service and someone in India started calling my store for me, but also couldnt reach anyone. I eventually went inside the store (which is open until 11pm) at 10:05 pm and the on duty manager appeared to be irritated with me and my situation, telling me that the "OGD ( as if I'm supposed to know what that is) staff had already packed up my groceries assuming I was a no show" ... at 9:45pm? what's the point of a flippin' window anyway??? I asked the manager if she was the only manager there ( because it was downright impossible to believe anyone would leave her in charge of an entire store) , and she replied, "no ... but the other managers are either going home or on break" ... seriously??? so after waiting in the store another 15 minutes for the manager to talk to her departing co-workers casually as she was supposedly "trying to get into the app so she could discharge my groceries to me", she eventually came out with my groceries in a cart ... which I then had to push outside, waaaay around the other side of the store to the grocery pick up area where my kids had been waiting in our car over 25 minutes. No apologies from the manager, at all! I was made to feel at fault for the inconvenience, except for one kind employee, who gave me the name of the store's general manager named "AJ" (I am not even going to call AJ to complain, because it would be as pointless as spitting into the ocean). I couldnt believe they didn't even offer to bring the groceries out to my car for me after such a ridiculous fiasco.I do grocery pick up because I have a bad post surgical ankle that acts up some days, as I'm sure many people also do for their own health reasons. Suddenly closing the store early, then acting as though I'm the inconvenience for wanting my scheduled groceries ... well, it's beyond bad customer service ... it's just nutters butters. It's truly unbelievable how awful the customer service here is. This Walmart is consistently TERRIBLE AND UNRELIABLE and many younger staff members reek like Marijuana and act accordingly. This is the last in a series of unthinkable mishaps with this Walmart location and I'm simply DONE . Avoid this location. It is the worst Walmart I've ever encountered over multiple decades and time zones.

Great Walmart but I don’t wanna hear this grump old team leader up front yelling at employees to hand over their personal phones like it’s middle school when they are doing their job just random power move and very inappropriate to do in front of customers in such way…. Just disappointed in that as a leader but the employees handled it well!

Short waiting on the cashier supported registers. Walmart personal shoppers were knowledgeable of the location of the product location. Saved me a lot of shopping time.

Walmart, count your days. I'm standing in front of the exit at the #13 self check out machine scanning EACH of my items while yall watching me and still have the audacity to ask me for my receipt!? Mind you, you didn't ask the person in front of me, leaving for his receipt. Keep it consistent, or dont ask for it at all. If you are so worried about people not scanning things, then take away the self check out and put back the cash registers with a cashier there. This is getting out of hand 💯 If I could give a negative 5 stars I would.

the worst branch of the store. It feels like there is no management at all at the store. It’s never possible to find an employee to help, and if it does, he’ll tell you that he’s busy. It is impossible to take anything from closed cabinets, since no one has the keys. It’s better to spend time and come to a big Walmart, you’ll waste less time and effort.

Is it really cheaper for Walmart to pay 4 employees to sit in their phone and "watch" self checkout while it takes 15 minutes for a customer to get out with 5 lanes closed? For now on if I wait longer than 5 minutes I'm leaving all my stuff at the front. Work for the paycheck by putting my stuff back since you didn't want to work and check me out.

I usually shop at the Walmart on Phillips Highway. The employees and customers have gotten so rude that I decided to try the one on Baymeadows. I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did the employees greet me when I went down the aisles the customers were very friendly. I have found my new Walmart

Seafood Selection Walmart Neighborhood Market which is a smaller supermarket esque version of the retail giant does not have a seafood counter. Instead, they sell seafood out of a standard location I heard the term, side counter used.Their seafood selection and presentation needs to improve I'm positive Walmart has the ability to do this, and they should.I'll start by saying the selection was/is almost abysmal. And what they have I don't think is fairly priced. Examples here.Small portion of Pacific Cod for over $8.00. They didn't have any shrimp, frozen or otherwise same thing with scallops their website for seafood is very good, if they only offered what was on it.At this point I decided to move on think they might of had a lobster tail didn't see the price point.If nothing else they could have offered Tilapia which is an inexpensive fish, and the shrimp which is very standard in most Walmart stores I've been to. I also didn't like how it was signed. It should be clearly marked, some seafood retailers are actually listing what their policy is about sourcing for seafood and where it's coming from. 🐬

This location never has Fresh Pet food for cats- only dogs. Every time I come, there’s plenty of options in the fridges for dogs but NOTHING for cats. Oh and look, just opened bread casually chillen on the shelf lmao.

This place…ugh. It gets a star solely for its location. The customer service has marginally improved but only if you go before 9 pm. They want you OUT after that, despite not closing til 11, and it’s awkward. Items are always damaged, pizza and cereal boxes are crushed, there are roach eggs on things like the (dented) dog and cat food cans (see pic) so who knows what the roaches have actually gotten into before it’s sold. Pallets are always stacked in the aisles, making maneuvering a cart difficult. You will 1,000% get approached by someone asking you to give them money and if you say you don’t have any cash, they’ll badger you to buy their groceries (typically with a baby in tow). I once got guilted into a pack of diapers and she added all kinds of stuff, I spent $13 on what I needed and $55 on her. My fault, I’m bad about saying no, but I should be able to shop without the guilt trip and it’s constant.Other than that, it closes at 11 pm but they close the front door at 9:30 pm to funnel everyone past the checkout monitor, who calls out how many minutes you have to shop (and adds a “so you better hurry!” if you’re within the last ~30 min prior to close.)Good luck if you’re going at night, basically, and check your foods for holes or bugs.

This particular Walmart has the worst staff of any Walmart I've ever been to. My last shopping experience there will be my last shopping experience there. They went out of their way to make me as uncomfortable as possible, the security followed me around and made mean feel like I was some kind of criminal when I was simply doing some shopping. Not only did they stay next to me with every move I made in the store, they had no problems letting me know that's exactly what they were doing. They can write a book on profiling. I wasn't aware of some new standard that Walmart has implemented on their customers that I guess I didn't fit. They even went so far as to go into the bathroom stall behind me and I guess check for remnants of theft, of course finding nothing.Once again they simply did not care if I knew what they were doing. I've never stolen anything from the establishment but I was certainly treated like it. This store is particularly bad however itseems a lot of stores are doing the same, that is making people that may not have a lot of money feel as uncomfortable as possible. I understand shrink maybe a problem but I as a customer shouldn't have to pay that price. If security wants to follow me around because I don't fit some standard I'm not aware of so be it but at least do it to where I'm not aware of it. This Walmart is awful I would never shop there again

I normally don’t review places much less big corporate places. Not usually worth it for me. But today my experience was so overwhelmingly positive I felt obligated to. When I came in I was greeted ‘good morning’ three separate times by not the door greeter who is expected. But by random employees throughout the store who normally in my experience don’t interact with customers. The lady at self check out had a quick chat with me and was very kind and friendly. Overall 10/10 I’ve never been to a better Walmart.

I sincerely hope this gets back to a manager. I have come in several times later in the evening. I very rarely leave a Google review. Actually this may be one of 3 I have left. But I felt it was necessary to compliment an employee. People deserve to know when their presence has a positive impact on those around them.I work in the area of this location and I have to compliment Carol. The woman who greets customers on their way into the store.She has the kindest soul. You can just tell by her demeanor and her smile that she is a sweet lady. She always has a huge smile on her face and a very warm and welcoming voice. She reminds me that there still are kindhearted people left. I encounter lots of different kind of people daily with my job. A lot of times they are unhappy. It can drag you down a bit. But at the end of the night I actually look forward to being greeted by Carol. She lifts my mood and I always hope she’s working that night. I hope she gets recognized and some gratitude is sent her way for taking her responsibility of welcoming others to heart. Thank you Carol! Wish there were more people like you!!

Well, customer "SERVICE" refuses to receive a return, SHE not even let me talk or show the barcode "but they need to work" she said they never get returns and I must go supercenter that was my nearby store,I ask twice are you sure and she said yes, sat Feb 10, 12:38 pm CS counter. Then the supercenter said they should receive it.

Honestly, I used to love this Walmart but it's literally making me sick. The employees are great, never had a single customer service issue the year I've been shopping here, which is the only reason there's a second star. I've had so much food (meat and dairy) that have gone bad days to a week before the expiration date. My milk shouldn't be coagulated a week before it expires and this has happened multiple times. Chicken from here, several days in date, sealed and properly refrigerated, made me and my cat sick. Yes, it was cooked thoroughly. I've also spotted mold on their produce. With price increases, I certainly don't expect this kind of quality decline. Very disappointed.TLDRGreat employees, terrible food quality.

Don’t place a delivery here. They will try to up charge you with substitutions. Tried to replace a 100 pack of paper plates with a more expensive pack of 25. What sense does that make? I tried calling just to be put on hold for an extended amount of time just for them to hang up on me. Two phone calls in a row!

February 2024 and all continues to be positive at this location.June 2023 and all is good!April 2023 all is ok however issues with cart's being brought back for next customer use...had to go back to the parking lot to get one.December 2022 and all continues to be good at this Walmart. My only issue is prices are slightly higher than the larger Walmart on Shops Lane.June 2022 and the store is as well stocked as possible...thanks to Joe Biden for screwing things up.Well guess who had Toilet Paper? Walked in needing a few items that the Wal-Mart on Shops Lane did not have. I found a well run and well stocked smaller store with folks both employees and vendors stocking shelves. Store was clean and well laid out. Went to Drug area and easily found the 2 items we were looking for GV Mouth Wash and Tylenol. Walked another isle and found well stocked paper products as well as bleach. On to the bottled water found plenty of GV Spring water. Next found Salmon on sale $7.49/lb good deal. Check out was fast with pleasant folks wishing us a great healthy day. Plenty of parking and easy to find store make this our second go to grocery store location.

Denis on "Customer Service" knows nothing about customer service. I attempted to return an item I purchased it at another Walmart. He said I would have to return it there. I found the same item on their shelf, and he still refused. I found another employee who gladly handled the return. Denis should transfer to the stockroom.

5 Star store! It's consistently excellent. Sharyl, Jazz and staff are wonderful and professional employees. A friendly staff usually here. Well stocked and clean. I shop here nearly daily and it's always a pleasure..

This was the first time I have been in this store. It was spacious... everywhere but at the front checkouts. Just a little light in that regard, but things went quickly.I walked around the store some and found it to be clean and uncluttered.I had interactions with a couple of employees and both were helpful and friendly.

Is it weird to love a Walmart? The nicest employees at self checkout, and some of them will get to know you too! I think her name is Melissa that typically is at self check out? She’s the sweetest. I know the “neighborhood” in the name is more to do with the smaller size but it does kinda feel like they are more tight knit in service as well. Never have had an issue with staff. The meat selection is sometimes a little sparse, but I usually come in late so it’s understandable in the smaller location. It is a bit annoying when the door is locked 20 minutes prior to close, but I typically don’t have an issue literally running in and out when I need one last minute thing.

Some lady tried to force me out of the store with my service dog which I had in my arms. Embarrassed me in front of people I see everyday at this walmart. Might not ever be back to any walmarts. Just because i dont have her drapped in service dog attire doesnt mean she isnt Publix doesn't do this

Today I have to say I was appalled with the management. I was told by staff her name is Tessy. Customers including myself had overfilled carts and needed help checking out as the self checkout lines that were open were not made for extremely large checkouts. More so meant for 10 items or less. The one self checkout that could handle large orders was closed. Lisa (absolute fabulous lady) was kind enough to help myself and others with checkout. Tessy the manager, who refused to help customers and her own staff, refused to do anything but stand up against a wall in the corner and complain that Lisa was helping us checkout. She never left the wall once, not even when Lisa needed help when the turntable got stuck when I was putting bags in the cart. It seems the elderly staff that work there are the ones with customer service skills, actually do their job, and are kind enough to help while the management is absolutely disrespectful to them. Its ridiculous management gets paid to lean up against a wall and not do anything whatsoever other then call out an occasional demand that another employee do something. NO respect whatsoever. None. Lisa should get a raise. Tessy should go home.
