River City Veterinary Hospital is my new Vet. After leaving another Vet I had been going to for seven years and my late Parents used for 38 years. No more. I had to bring my cat in because he wasn't feeling well. He is 16 years old. They did a Senior Fel Early Detection Profile that included blood work but the exam was done with me in the same room. Yes they took him to another room to do the blood work. Then we left for home and the next day I got a call from the Vet asking how my cat was doing. This was my first time getting a call the day after an exam. Then I got a call from the Doctor on the blood work that was done. No Diabetes, no other major problems. Just a better wet diet and things have calmed down A lot. I felt so much better being I and my cat was truly cared for by the whole team at River City Veterinary Hospital in Jax/Fl.

The experience isn’t great due to my fur baby needing urgent care and prognosis given. However, my fur baby wasn’t denied treatment due to my financial setbacks or inability to pay in full. I can’t express how much that meant to me because I felt so helpless as if I could not provide for my baby or take away her discomfort and pain. Thank you for the care provided. God Bless.

Michelle and Eleece were an amazing duo that kept me updated about my cat. All of the staff are amazing but with my most recent trip both Michelle and Elise were there to comfort not only Jubilee but myself. We have a dog that on Sunday, 3/17/2024 was limping. On Monday, 3/18 we contacted her vet and was able to get in that day. They did an X-ray and reveled an partial break on her paw. Gave her a shot, some meds and she is healing. Thank you to Dr Paul & staff for the quick turn around @ River City Vet.

I just love all of you, and the friendly way you treat my cat, "Boo." She leaves home only once a year, and that is to visit you. She doesn't like the needle, so getting her in her cage is challenging. I'm so sorry she "hissed" at you, and you weren't able to clip her nails. She is a feral rescue and didn't even "meow" for 3 years. After 6, she realized she can "hiss" and be threatening. Once back home, she cuddled in my lap and allowed me to clip them without even a wiggle. Thank you for being so kind and caring. Boo and I will definitely see you next year.

My little Chihuahua was frantically itching herself, and neither of us were getting any sleep. Horrible situation! I called River City and they made an appointment for her that same day. Dr. Qualls took the time to listen to me, examined Ella and made his recommendations. She improved that same day. What a relief! And they called the next day to see how she was doing. Excellent service, from desk to tech to vet - all great! I am never going anywhere else.

We've been coming here for 3-4 years now and this was our favorite visit! My babygirl was so comfortable this visit, both my tech and Dr welcomed my girl with so much excitement and love, that she almost forgot where she was lol! I absolutely love the people that work here and their facility. Had an emergency with my cat and they were able to squeeze us in last minute. Dr. Morilla and the tech (sorry don't remember her name) were so sweet and comforting in the chaos and stress of the situation. I 100% recommend anyone to bring their fur babies here. He Who Angers You

Unfortunately our poor Baby (cat) had an inoperable tumor and for months we just tried to let her eat what she wanted and just loved on her until we could not hang on to her any longer. The day after Christmas this year it became apparent to us that she was suffering. We had never been to this office before. We explained our situation and brought her in to meet the very kind and compassionate staff at River City. They accessed the situation and went over the process with us. We had been through it before and our experience there was absolutely beautiful. They were very respectful and professional during our visit. About a week later we recieved this heart felt card from the staff. We can't say enough good things about our visit.

The staff and clinicians are very helpful and caring of our furry friend (Buddy) and never try to push other services on us. We get him there, much against his wishes, and they take over and calm him down.

Huge thanks to River City Animal Clinic, and Dr Huitt for saving my dog Jakes life!We had brought him to another Vet for years, until he got sick recently. He hadn’t eaten in days and could barely stand. I took him to our old vet several times and he said “he looks fine to me” and told me to try giving him chicken. For our otherwise energetic 4 y/o dog, one missed meal is very strange, never mind 4 days without food.He was getting increasingly weak and time was running out to figure out what was wrong.After giving up on our former Vet, we gave River City a call.Dr Huitt worked acted quickly to figure out what was going on with him and provide the treatments he needed. I really liked how he spent time researching to determine an especially tricky diagnosis. He also took time to show me Jakes labs and explain what could be causing it, and our next steps.The vet techs and the team of front desk staff also kept me well informed about cost, and most importantly how Jake was doing during his hospitalization.We are so happy to have Jake home, healing and looking better than he has in weeks. I had never used this establishment before but called them when I had an emergency with my dog. They got me in quickly and were wonderful. They took her back quickly and were so good with her. This veterinarian hospital is really good, they always give estimates so I always know how much procedures are going to cost and that's really necessary right now with everything being so expensive! The staff is great! One of my dogs are a little challenging but they are so understanding and good with her.
