Not only was he very knowledgeable but he was also honest about what I needed and didn’t instead of just trying to make a sale unlike other pet store I’ve been to. The lady at the register with the cute glasses was very kind also. 10/10 customer service

Seriously SUCH a horrible experience. We called to ask if they could sell us a bearded dragon as we would be there 5 minutes after they supposedly "stop selling" according to Alyssa. We got there and the dragon was marked 50% off. It was also specified that the "Premium" one was the one on sale. Well my husband and I were talking about it with her, a very NORMAL conversation and then Alyssa snaps at us and tells us "if you're going to continue arguing with me I'm not gonna continue with the sale, actually I no longer feel comfortable making the sale with you. We can deny any sale we want and I no longer feel comfortable " like WHAT? If my son didn't want this dragon so bad, I would have walked out. Definitely not the place you want to go to unless you want to be met with unknowledgeable people, horrible customer service, and Alyssa who is completely irrational and is calling off sales for being asked the correct price of a reptile. Petco you might want to be cautious with Alyssa, guarantee I'm not the only one who was almost denied a sale which is detrimental for your store's profit. Never again will I visit this location.

I love this store and all the staff and so does Dexter!!!! They are always top notch and can answer any question I may have. Pretty sure Dexter looks forward to the walk there much more than mom and dad but it is well worth it to see that excitement as we go through the door. He is always a fighter to leave because the cold floor feels awfully good after a walk! Going to miss this Petco crew when we move off the beach as they all know and adore our beloved Dexter!

We were denied buying a fish after getting our water tested. My daughter wanted a beta fish, the ones that are in 1 cup of water. The water test showed between the lowest and next lowest mark on the ammonia scale. The self proclaimed "not the fish expert" said "it is just a little high". She gave advice on what to do and we had the supplies already to get it to the most ideal environment for the fish. We were going to go ahead and buy the fish and put it in the tank after following instructions. We went to the counter to check out and we were told they are denying us the fish. I am sure anyone that walked in to buy a fish with out getting any advise would walk out with a fish, but this employee must have been having a momentary laps of reality, that she can tell people what to do.We have been cycling the water with advice from other experts from this store for the last 3 weeks, to get it to the correct chemistry balance for the fish.

I always have a fantastic experience at Petco Grooming (Marsh Landing) with my pup, Jolene. The team consistently addresses any grooming needs I may have for Jolene. The team also gives much love and care to Jolene, and they aim to make her comfortable if she shows any signs of anxiety. They are great at communicating and always go the extra-mile.

Came in to buy a hamster as a gift for an 8 year olds birthday. Got a hamster cage and all of the needed stuff when I asked to get a hamster. I was told I needed a 20 gallon aquarium or larger cage. And refused to sell me a hamster, because the hamster cage I got was too small … for the hamster. It was the one you can build on so planned to get the starter kit and come back for the add ons. My family has also been refused a beta fish because they had to run the tank first and then come back to get the water tested. I’ve had pets my whole life and a beta fish that lived 7 years in an actual bowl as a kid into my teen years. And had the same cage for a hamster and he did fine definitely won’t be back.

I was so upset…never going back. I don’t think groomers are professionals. Cut is not clean, uneven, some spots left, not cut.Terrible job…Very sad

Absolutely horrible customer service by Alyssa. Called corporate on her hoping that she absolutely loses her job and action takes place on her. Rude and refused services to a paying loyal customer. No one deserves to be treated with such disrespect and judgement. Let alone her saying she’s the manager. Who does this

Went in just after 5 p.m. for live fish. Cashier called for help to aquatics. THIRTY minutes later no one had come. I saw the store manager, Andrew, take a call on his cell phone, looked right at me waiting at aquatics and walked away. I placed the other purchases I was going to make at the register and the cashier asked if anyone had ever come to help. I told her no and told her to tell Andrew he has lost my business forever. I will not shop at Petco again. I went to Petsmart just up the street and purchased what I wanted. No more Petco!

Stephanie in the grooming department does an amazing job!! Our 12 year old mini poodle has never looked this fancy a day in her life! My husband said she looks like an old lady who just had a blowout. LOL. Stephanie will be my #1 choice for a groomer here on out!

Skip it if you value your time and money. Terribly disorganized and unprofessional. Went in for 2 dog baths and hair cuts. Asked a few questions about what the price included. Groomer lady got very upset I was asking questions. Got her manager because she couldn’t handle basic questions like “is nail trimming included?” Manager tells me the kennels were broken and they have to cancel. So why didn’t they cancel earlier in the day when they knew there was an issue instead of making me drive 30 minutes with upset dogs. Never again. Rude and scary groomer and a manager who clearly doesn’t want to be there! Employees & manager acted like drinking buddies who just wanted to get outta there. Skip it.

Everybody here is so nice and helpful! I run into a lot of the same smiling faces, but Kayla specifically makes it a point to greet my puppy and I and and make sure we’re good. Lots of brands, lots of cute little animals. Ran into this store once out of convenience and now it’s the only pet store I use.
