Bought a bag of dog food from this store on 02/24/2024. No receipt provided since it was just a bag of food, but I do have my bank statement. My dog has been refusing to eat it and it smells off to me. So I look at the bag.. The dog food expired 12/13/2023! I have never had an issue with PetSupermarket until now. But I am beyond disappointed at this store and leaving months old bags of food on the shelf. I am not sure if anyone else had this issue, but now I’m out close to $80 because of their poor stocking. This is unacceptable!!Edit to add: customer service has been great and responsive to the issue, which is a plus and I am ever grateful for their prompt response and understanding with it all.

Really good store for pet products they have a lot of different options. No matter what type of animal you love they can help you. The staff was so wonderful in helping me find a fish bowl. They offer a military discount which is a plus.

Not nearly as good as it used to be. Lot of empty shelves & spaces.12/01/23This place sucks! STILL lots of empty shelves! And the prices are crazy high! A 5lb bag of food that I used to pay $18.99 for costs $28.99 now!!! What da hell?! I won't be going back any time soon. I just went there because I didn't feel like driving to Petco. But I will next time.

Staff is helpful polite and sweet. Not a huge variety of options but great for basics. Needed a rope leash for my little chewer who just eats through leashes. Was able to find one in pink, 6 feet. Wish there were more options but was in a rush on the road! Glad they were open on New Year’s Day!!!

Brought my pet cockatoo in with me for a day out and we were greeted with such kind workers. All of them! This store was nice and spacious with a LOT of bird supplies including food, toys, perches and even vitamins!Got my dog food as usual and I was eyeing the Halloween items such as the Pup O Noodles selection which was so adorable. Thanks for the fun chats, team members! It definitely brightened my trip here to Jacksonville :)

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. I've been coming here for years and it's still my go-to neighborhood pet store. They need a knowledgeable employee to keep those aquariums clean and healthy. That will rate them another star from this loyal customer.This is an addition to my original post. I am so happy to report that their aquariums looked so much better when I went in yesterday, 4/5/22. Not sure how long it has been since my last visit, but the whole store looked better. The person who assisted me with getting some fish was excellent, too. Only offered advice when I asked for it... didn't push unsolicited "expert" advice. Much appreciated!

Easy to get in and out of this business. Clean and well organized. We shopped for our dog's birthday (she was with us!). Friendly employees. Upon check out, the cashier offered our dog some treats which she happily gobbled up! Will return!

This is my hands down favorite dog store! Has great prices, and some fabulous dog treats that my supper-picky baby can't get enough of.(stell and chewy meal toppers) 😍 I will be back

Been years since I last came to this pet supermarket. Just not along a common path I take between work & home. Different setup but I did find saltwater fish food even though I didn't find the freeze dried shrimp that I used to purchase. Clerks were kind and helpful and the price was affordable.

The dude at the counter is always nice to my puppy. You can take your pet in, obviously. I feel like the dog food selection is really big and it’s all quality food. The cashier even has puppy training tips. So definite yes to this store.

I needed gold fish flakes and something to help clean a ten gallon aquarium. I asked for help trying to find a cleaning solution. The lady didn't have what I was looking for. But she made sure to try and and help as best as possible. The prices are very reasonable and the items are all stocked well. I've been visiting this store nearly half a decade and never had anything poor to say. It's great here. They had two cats in the store for sale who both looked happy and healthy!

Love this location! Been to several other Pet Supermarkets, but I enjoy this location and travel out of my way to get here! My dog likes a special type of chew treat, the other locations would just shrug, this location keeps it in stock! My 3 year old grandson likes to visit to look at the small animals, birds & fish. The people there always interact with him & if not to busy, will get a bunny out, so my grandson can pet it! Great customer service & always saving me money with coupons that I might not know about!

The staff is super friendly and ready to help. I visited during the time of coronavirus and they had the BEST health safety system I've seen so far. Ever patron must disinfect their hands at the store entrance. I felt safe, cared for by the staff, and welcomed-- sooo impressed by this pet store.

I came in for aquarium supplies. They had a slightly smaller collection than the other chain stores, but a nice selection of live aquatic plants. The staff was all young people who were pretty nice, especially the one who helped me brainstorm my aquarium project, Andrew. I was really impressed with how professional, attentive, and easy-going he was.

Cool store. They actually have pets for sale there too from fish to lizards to bunnies. Very good selection of dog toys and dog treats and dog food. That's all I can speak on because that's all I looked at. I would definitely go back there.

The reptile care could've been much better, the employee I spoke to was very sweet and she told me that some of your reptiles were being housed on calcium sand, it isn't safe for any reptile to be housed on sand because of the huge risk of impaction which can become fatal, but it isn't hard to find the risks of calcium sand specifically, a better substrate to use is eco earth or plantation soil, even paper towel is perfectly fine to use since there's no risk of impaction, i suggest you use a dish of calcium with your leopard geckos, they know when they're low and will do fine just licking up the calcium dusk from their dish, I don't mean to be rude but I'm a big fan of reptiles and I'm in best interest of the animals :)

This store might be part of a major chain but it seems more like a neighborhood store. I am always able to get in and out of there quickly, have done exchanges without any hassle, and have found the employees knowledgeable. And of course, your doggie is welcome.

Pet supermarkets are by far my favorite pet store chain. It's always very clean, the animals are always healthy and they always have something new. I believe the staff even occasionally plays with the birds so they're not stuck in their cages for months on end. Not the cheapest place ever but I think it is worth the higher quality items they offer. I got my 2 Oscars from this store a few weeks ago after trying to find decent looking ones at almost every pet store in jax. They're still happy and healthy.
