Been coming here for a long time! Great place for little ones to look at fruit and help you pick it out:)Went this past Sunday to the market. Wasn’t very crowded at all. There is a very sweet gentleman in the very back of the market that has some of THE BEST collard greens and sweet potatoes you will ever eat! He cuts & bags greens which is awesome! And definitely go see Dave & his wife in the front side of the market for some of the coolest species of plants & AMAZINGLY delicious juices in his “chill bar.” And only $3 bucks!!! How can you beat that!🍓🍊🍉 oh yes! And don’t forget the cake lady in the front. Her slices of cake are heavenly! The Key Lime & Walnut black velvet are worth every calorie! lol! And if you’re indecisive… she gives free samples.😋yum!Enjoy:))

I have to say during the week day I'm not to enthusiastic about being here. I have 2 vendors I love getting items from. I'm kind of disappointed I have to make a drive to another state just to get some yellow meat watermelon but the prices will be worth the drive since the market won't have any for another 3 weeks. I will continue to show up for my 2 vendors which they're good about telling me about the quality of the fruits and veggies. Also I will be back to see who the herbal vendor is. I got pretty excited when I seen the listing so I hope I find some awesome herbs with them as well.

We go for the fruits and vegetables. Always a good selection and prices are reasonable. It can be hit or miss sometimes but usually it's a hit. Absolutely make sure you stop by the plant guy there right up toward the front. He's got some cool beverages to refresh your experience and some of the coolest plants that I've ever seen. They're well cared for healthy and vibrant. He is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Support small business where you can they're the backbone of America.

Went on a Sunday and it was a terrible disappointment. There was only about seven sellers in total, and five of them weren't actually farmers or local vegetables, they were just resellers from box stores. I watched as they unpacked fruits from Walmart, took them out of the boxes and placed them in different containers to obscure their origins. Many of the fruits were rotting and moldy and the prices for these Walmart fruits was higher than Walmart prices. The bag of oranges I bought ended up being very moldy in the middle and the plums were rotted under the skin, and this was the fruits that I checked over before purchasing, not the ones that were openly rotted.Very nice sellers though. Friendly and helpful.

I stopped by the Farmers Market and made my way to the Seafood Shack for Rock Shrimp and Smoked Salmon and when i arrived home i tried a small piece of it and that had to be the best tasting fish I've had in a while. Thanks to the cook's it was absolutely amazing. 😋

Today was such a beautiful day, so why not visit the farmers market located on West Beaver Street. With reasonable price and a variety of items, you’re sure to leave with some amazing goodies. With that being said, it’s important to be sure to wash your haul down with vinegar and water or you may have some unfriendly guest in your house (fruit flies).I got a ton of product for under $50 dollars including two beautiful bromelias. I’m in love with this plant and super happy to get a reasonable prince for these plants. The produce was also very nice. I was able to secure some great fresh produce and fruit. I also learned the technique for picking a ripe pineapple by one of the sellers.I’m sure I’ll be back many more time. It’s a nice change from the traditional grocery stores.

We’ve been going to the Jacksonville Farmers Market on Beaver Street for years. The whole experience is lovely. Walk around and pick out your fruits and veggies for a better price than any where in town and have great conversations with the people and vendors there. Great place to go if you are a juicer. In addition there’s sometimes food trucks there. The fish market has a great selection of fresh caught local fish. And there’s a cool little grotto where you can purchase plants for your yard whilst enjoying a lemonade.

Great selection of fruits and vegetables. Seems like the booths are a lot emptier than they used to be. Still a great place to stop for produce.

Went in the morning and weekend busy. Many people bump into each other . Flies all over the products. Like a flea market, people claim their stuff better than the next, but all products come from the same place. It's cheaper than the grocery store but less cleaner and covid safe.

Jacksonville Farmers Market is a nice place to see, we went there on Saturday morning as a first time and we really liked it, price wasn’t cheaper than Walmart but you can find more nice products! It needs to develop little bit but still nice place to see even if you don’t buy anything. I like it. I recommend it.

I love the Jacksonville Farmer's Market! This Farmer's market has served Jacksonville for many decades! Venders may come and go, however the Jacksonville Farmer's Market remains, and that I appreciate. On this trip I found a new vender, the Green Spot. I love this place it has a Lemonade bar! Awesome! I will do a review on.

We don't get out this way too often but when we do, we always stop by the Farmers Market. I can recall coming here with my family 30 years ago. I always looked forward to getting boiled peanuts when I was a kid.We recently brought my daughter and she loved it! We were able to pick out some fresh fruits and vegetables, had a very refreshing sugar cane juice and coconut water drink and some of the best boiled peanuts we have ever had.We definitely save on price compared to the grocery stores and you can't beat the experience of speaking to everyone!

Seems the number of vendors has dwindled in the past few years.Over priced old fruits and vegetables. But the water melons a plentiful and huge.

Waste of time. Mostly same items you can find in most supermarkets and same prices if not more. The vendors have the same items at the same price. I really wonder who buys from them. Went on a Saturday afternoon and the place had no customers. What I joke!!!

Many if not all the HEALTHY fruits and vegetables were over priced. Lots of rotten fruits and vegetables. Instead of throwing them away they are trying to sell them. Guess I'll go elsewhere.

The few times I’ve gone the vendors that have been open have all had the same things. Not bad prices. Not sure what and what isn’t actually locally sourced. Wanted to try the restaurant on site but it’s been closed so far each time I’ve gone. A super cool sanctuary tucked away though that has plants to enjoy and for sale and a lemonade bar. Lots of spots to sit and enjoy the space and your drink. Was amazing lemonade made from ingredients the owners grow and they use pasta straws from Italy which I think is not only ingenious and different but environmentally conscious.

Nice selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. Was able to get some honey harvested from Lake City as well. Some vendor stations were empty...hopefully I just went on a off day. Will go back again.

In A Nutshell:-The Jacksonville Farmers Market is a very low-end farmer's market.-I wish I could give it higher than a 2 star rating, but if you shopped there you can see why.-The fruits/veggies are not very fresh, they mostly very soft and too ripe.-Don't be surprised to see flies on the produce either.-The customer service from some of the stalls are poor, some staff need to take a shower (see the photo).Overall, I've experienced so many better farmer's markets around the world, even most developing countries have better farmer's markets than this one.

There were many many areas to look. Lots of fresh veggies, eggs etc. However, it’s the first market I’ve been to like that that did not have ceiling fans. I really couldn’t shop. I will go back in the autumn when it cools down. I love good produce and they have plenty of great produce , honey etc.
