We have been boarding our three dogs at Happy Hounds over a few years now and they have always been well taken care of. We love Margaret at the Shirley Ave location. She loves our babies and is always happy to see them. We don't have to worry about them when we are traveling and thus have peace of mind. I highly recommend that you give them a chance.

Was a little hesitant about boarding our daughter, happy hounds was recommended through a friend of mine. We decided to give them a try from the time we made reservations were breeze very friendly. To the time that we dropped our daughter off lot of love and caring . We called and also watched our daughter on camera. There was no problems for five days. Highly recommended you can trust them.

Our big dog is so happy here. She attends doggy daycare 1 to 2 times a week, and we board her here 3 to 4 times a year.Sometimes, we even ask the staff to bathe her.Every service is awesome, and it is very clear that they love our pet as much as we do.Great space. I love being able to watch her on the WebCam, too.

Found them at the last minute, visited the place before booking and was impressed with the space and VIP rooms . My dogs were able to stay in the VIP room for 5 days. I saw pictures of them enjoying their space. I received pictures from the staff. They took very good care of my children and their personal belongings, I will be referring them to all my friends and family.

Yesterday was my 15 month old, 84 5 lbs, puppy's first day at doggie day care. She had so much fun playing with the other dogs that she didn't notice I was there to pick her up. The staff was absolutely wonderful with her when I brought her there. She was a little nervous about her first experience but she's so social that it didn't take long for her to get acclimated. I'm so glad I chose to put her there 2 days a week while I work that I wish I had let her go there sooner!

The staff is excellent with the dogs, is warm and welcoming! They made me feel right at home and comfortable leaving my fur baby in their care! I will definitely be back again for boarding and day camp.

Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. This was our first time with our babies boarding for one night and I we were really nervous. Our dogs don’t do well with others so they respected our wishes to not allow them the other dogs. They properly gave medication for two of my dogs for anxiety as well. I have no complaints.

Mrs. Margaret and the Happy Hound Dog Resort Crew are ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! They took our fur baby at the very last minute and from the very FIRST meeting we knew we made the right decision. Although, he was a little anxious and scared to be in a new place for the weekend, Mrs. Margaret made Midnight and his parents feel right at home. The staff loved on him and made him feel welcomed. The atmosphere when you walk in the door feels like family. Being a dog Mom....I am overly protective, but after 5 minutes with the Shirley Ave staff....I vacationed with NO WORRIES.....We even stayed an extra day. I won't leave Midnight anywhere else. I'm over the moon we found Happy Hound Dog Resort! Midnight's New Home Away From Home ❤ ❤

OUTSTANDING!!! I was visiting my sister in Florida from NJ. Being that we had a lot planned I didn’t want my 7 1/2 month old German Shepherd, Hawk to have to be home alone for hours on end. I looked into several places that I was just not comfortable with but once I called Happy Hounds and spoke to Margaret I felt like this would be a great place for my boy to go during the day and I was not disappointed. Margaret is great, took us in on short notice after checking that all of his shots and bordetella were up to date. They allowed my dog time to settle in and be evaluated before putting him in with all the big dogs on the floor. Coming from an extensive animal care background (shelter manager, vet tech) I knew what to look for. Coming from NJ I knew what I wanted to see in terms of customer service and how I wanted Hawk and myself to be treated. We were only going to be dropping Hawk off for daycare for three days but each time we went in he was greeted by name. The facility was spotless, the dogs had someone supervising them at all times and cleaning accidents constantly. The staff was incredible. I love the fact that they have cameras so you can check on your pet throughout the day. When I noticed that my boy was experiencing some growing pains and limping a little bit I called them and asked them to move him somewhere to rest. I no sooner hung up the phone when I saw them on camera taking him out. If I come back to Florida I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

I highly recommend going to the free day they offer before you do an overnight or regular day care. My dog had a bad experience they do not interact with the dog unless you count mopping the floor. Mine was left in a open area with nothing to do. I mean nothing but a bowl of water. He was so bored. Most of the day he was upset and when I called to ask them to put his toy in there they refused

Made reservation as I had in the past, but found out vaccine was out of date range, when I called right back and let them no i would not be dropping him off, I ASSUMED They would credit my acct the 53.00, nope he said we have a policy, and those funds are not returned... really... talk about NOT good faith -keep my money just know, I WILL NEVER take my dog there again.

Let me just start off by saying how amazing the staff is (especially Margaret). The entire process was easy and they were so helpful and welcoming. I took my six month old doberman there last week for a trial daycare. They ensured he was comfortable, as well as the other dogs. They made sure I was comfortable leaving him there. When I came back to pick him up, my happy puppy was even happier. He played and had the best time with his new friends.I want to thank the staff at Happy Hound Dog Resorts. You all made this experience rememberable. It was a good feeling to know that my baby was safe, happy, and loved.I recommend this business for anyone looking for a safe place for their dog/puppy to stay temporarily. I will bring Thor back whenever I need to go out of town, or just need a day to myself.Thank you, Happy Hound!!

We needed to board our baby Beau a little last minute. We spoke to several different employees on the phone and they were all very kind and helpful. Everyone was super easy. We dropped him off and did not have to worry! We were able to check in on his with their live feed for some piece of mind. He had lots of fun and came home exhausted from an amazing time. We will be back!!

I’ve been bringing my dog here for a little bit over 8 months now because I thought it was a good place. I will never ever bring my dog back here. I brought him in for doggy daycare. He is a 10 pound toy poodle who is not neutered they know my dog they know he is not neutered, and they put him in a playpen with a bunch of other dogs, and got him into a fight, and then just threw him in a crate for the rest of the time I was paying for daycare. The staff acted totally clueless and incompetent and the man he was at the desk when I checked him out was incredibly arrogant and nonchalant about how they mistreated my dog. Charged me full price to put my dog and a dog fight and then throw him in the crate. Never ever ever again. I brought him in for doggy daycare. I made sure to remind them he is not neutered, and I did not want him with any other dogs, and they assured me that one of the staff members would be with him the whole time and that they would be playing with him and watching him. These people are liars incompetent, and cannot be trusted. Don’t bring your dog here unless you want to pay money to have your dog hurt and traumatized and neglected.

We used HH for the first time and were uneasy leaving our dog anywhere that was not her comfort zone. They were incredibly flexible as we had to change the booked dates a few times before our trip due to travel complications.Then at drop off, our dog was very nervous and they said they weren’t sure she’d be okay with the other dogs, but by the time of pick up (5 days) she had spent every day playing amongst the others and being so well cared for.For HH’s accommodations, communication, prices, professionalism, and just general making your pet feel loved and you feel calm, they were a 10. We will definitely use them again, even for playtime or grooming. 💪🏼

Dropped off for doggie daycare and our pup was so excited to introduce us to his friends. He loved it, came home and slept. It was his first visit so they didn't charge us which was a big surprise. We loved it!

I had to leave town for a week long work trip, and the staff at Happy Hounds took amazing care of my 8 year old pug, Abel. I cannot express how grateful I am for the experience they gave me as a dog mom. I called for an update on her, and they immediately started sending me pictures and texts to let me know how loved and taken care of she was! They told me she was comfortable and had no problem eating or sleeping while I was away. I won’t go anywhere else for daycare or boarding from now on - I found the perfect place. I picked up a very happy and healthy pup today.. Thank you to all the people who helped care for my baby.

Love being able to watch my dog when I have to travel. My dog is always excited to come, and has always left happy and healthy. I do highly recommend having them give your dog a bath before you pick them up. That many dogs can cause quite an odor. Also they sent me a photo of my dog with santa!! What a surprise I loved it!!

Firstly, the owner Jack is awesome! All of the staff is great! They are all so welcoming and friendly! Judith is so friendly every-time I call. I felt welcomed just through the phone call. This place is awesome for your fur baby. My baby has been here several times and each time the service is outstanding. The staff is very knowledgeable of all breeds and teach your fur baby as their own. If I was allowed this company would get a million stars! Hats off to the owners and staff at Happy Hound.
