Sadly, this amazing organization will be ceasing adoption operations after the races stop in Florida, but they're responsible for placing awesome dogs like my Zephyr (formerly known as Lifer) in loving homes all over Jax and beyond. So grateful for their work and assistance. I picked him up two days ago and he is already a dream.

The volunteers working at Greyhounds as Pets are so nice and helpful. They guided us in our first Greyhound adoption and it went so well that we went back 2 weeks later to get our second one! We adopted our first Greyhound, a female, in October and the same day met a male that would be the perfect companion for her. Now we have 2 precious pets.

Greyhounds make excellent pets. If they are products of the greyhound racing industry, they may need extra care due to injury or abuse. They ate naturally docile, gentle, and eager to please which the racing industry takes full advantage of. If you are ready for a pet in your life, the greyhound is a very good choice. As mentioned before, Greyhounds are sensitive, and those retired or rescued from the racing industry may need a little extra tender loving care which will be returned to the caregiver threefold.

We just picked up Ms. Minnie, our new greyhound, today and she is already taking to her new surroundings! Greyhounds as Pets of Northeast Florida was incredibly helpful throughout the entire adoption process, and has helped us find our forever family member! They answered any and all questions we had, gave us tips and tricks for care, and have made themselves available to us if we have any questions or concerns in the future. I encourage anybody interested in adopting a retired racer to reach out to them.

Fabulous place. We got our baby in October. He is so smart and sweet. They people there are great. We drive from above Savannah , Ga. to Jackson, FL. To board him because they take such great care with him. There are always lots of greyhounds there to play and run with.

We are looking for our second greyhound. We adopted our first from GAP and he was the best. They really work with you to find the greyhound that fits your family. They are always available to answer questions and work very hard to make sure you and your greyhound are happy!

We adopted our beloved greyhound, Texas, from Greyhounds as Pets Jax in April. The staff was great and so helpful in assisting us in finding the right greyhound to fit into our household, which included two other dogs and a cat. Highly recommend- adopt a greyhound- you won't be sorry!!

Good people. Easy process. Get to know your pup before you pick one. And get to know the people in the industry. It's really eye opening and not as made out to be. Greyhounds make impressively good indoor and outdoor pets.

We have adopted 3 greyhounds from Greyhounds as Pets. They are wonderful pets, Miss Cathy and the staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgable about the breed. Highly recommend if you're looking for a greyhound adopt here.

Incredible this people supporting keeping grey hounds dogs racing, and stating “breeders will Be out of business”, really!? Exploting the dogs is justifiable!? No way! This needs to stop! Stop putting people’s interest over the animal interest. They dont have a voice! VOTE YES ON AMENDMENT 13.
