Pt. 1...We had the best time EVER! I had family in town from Atlanta and I was looking for a place to take the kids just to get out of the house. I searched tiktok for hidden gems in Jacksonville and saw this place. The teenagers were acting very nonchalant about being there until they realized it was more than a place to buy fish. They were amazed by all of the beautiful land and sea creatures they saw, and so was I. The kids didn't realize that they missed a part of the front area and ended up taking a 2nd lap around, looking at things they previously missed. They couldn't deny their excitement about being there. THENNN... as we were getting ready to leave, and looking for our next destination, something amazing happened... we found out how amazingly friendly and accommodating their staff were. The hospitality was top notch! The staff started offering the kids popcorn, cookies, and these fish thingies with all sorts of toppings. I will post again with specifics, but I definitely recommend taking a weekend family outing to support this local business.

Such a wonderful place. We went to a coloring/art class for kids and the kids had a great time. The instructor was so nice and great with the kids. All the employees were so nice as we walked around. They have a 15 ft python, so cool. Love this place.

My family enjoys visiting Floating Sea Aquatics on a regular basis. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The animals are well taken care of, and the free art classes for kids are amazing. We’ve purchased plants and betta fish, and the prices are fair. There were no snails on the plants, and the staff was available to answer any questions we had.

Amazing place, big and full of different creatures.My kids went once for a birthday celebration and they had fun experience with snacks and different little animals.I like how they have so many different types of fish and how they organise the store.They also have a coffee shop inside but the time I went there it wasn’t working otherwise it would be great to grab a drink among the nature.

Great place to bring your kids to learn about nature. As long as you understand this is not a good place for coffee, you will enjoy your time. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

The shop is ever evolving and I am excited to see what's changing each visit. The staff is helpful. The freshwater selection is great. The saltwater selection is small but hopefully growing. Lots of herps, some spiders, and insects. The dry goods section is large and prices are reasonable.

I have bought a few fish from them and I have been very pleased with how helpful they are. If you have any questions just ask them and they will answer it. Just bought a fire emblem eel from them a week ago and she eats from our hands.

Absolutely amazing experience and beautifully laid out. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Will definitely be coming here again. Great as an aquarium date, came here due to wanting to see an aquarium and Jacksonville doesn't have one so this is an amazing alternative. The employees clearly take good care of their fish/reptiles/ect.. animals looked in great condition.

What do you get when you pair good food with an adventure full of reptiles and sea animals? A culinary paradise for this girl! Had a great time checking this place out for sure. Stephen, chef/owner was so very helpful picking out just the right food for us for lunch yesterday. As we waited we wandered the store that this sweet cafe is nestled in and had fun with it all. Such a beautiful display with ponds, aquariums, bridges and tanks. There were all kinds of fish.. and I mean every kind lol. There were pythons and frogs and turtles and sting rays and eels and plants and sea anemone and well so much more! We had the salmon chef prepared and the Egyptian cinnamon honey chicken. They serve a complimentary sweet tea and a fruit infused water plus have smoothies and other drinks in the cooler. Kids of all ages will love this! Pricing on point too! Going back soon for sure.

This is me and my husband’s go-to for fish, reptiles, and questions! Everyone we’ve met who works here has so much knowledge, and we’ve yet to meet anybody who’s not eager to help- including who I’m 99% sure is the owner. The cafe is amazing as well- only bad thing was who I have to assume was the manager, who was way too quick to talk bad about her employees- to me, the customer, in front of the employee.

I'll start by saying if you are going just to admire the tanks & cafe then you'll have a great time.However, if you are planning to purchase fish then I would proceed with caution.I'm new to the hobby & was looking to stock a 40 gallon with a few cichlids. Lydia ended up selling me 3 jewels & 2 "blue ram" cichlids. Turns out neither of the blue rams were actually blue rams. After researching, one was a Bolivian ram & one was a firemouth cichlid.The jewels ended up being too aggressive, so I returned them to the store. Andrew gave me partial store credit which I applied to buying an electric blue acara. When I returned home, I realized it had a severely sunken stomach. Once introduced to my aquarium, it ended up spreading ich to my existing fish. In the last 5 days, I have lost numerous fish while fighting the ich infection & today to top things off the blue acara passed away (purchased 11/24 & passed away 11/29).Now I am left fighting an infection with my remaining fish, including the original blue ram aka firemouth cichlid. Beyond disappointed.

The most impressive pet store I’ve ever visited that also has a cafe! All your freshwater, saltwater, reptile, and amphibian needs can be met here with an incredible stock of products suited for hobbyists at all levels. The staff were very friendly and provided helpful insight about the store and the products within. I’d highly recommend anyone who loves pet/fish stores to visit!!

Excellent shop with unique exotic animals. They have an amazing selection of fresh, salt, and brackish fish and plants. Lots of driftwood. The store is clean and smells nice. I would go here for all my fish needs and just to hang out! Very cool spot. Very helpful staff.The plant guy helped us out and he was very knowledgeable.

Love this store! My husband and I went in to get a few things to set up our new betta fish tank. We weren't entirely sure of what plants and substrate we wanted to use for the tank, but got tons of help from William when we arrived. He was super knowledgeable and incredibly helpful! We will definitely be back. Excited to sit at the cafe when it opens!

Had a great time at this store! Came in looking for some fish and plants for my 15 gallon tank, wasn't too sure what to get but William was very helpful and was able to show me what would work best for my setup. Definitely a great experience.

I was thoroughly surprised! Such a cool place to visit especially w/kids.. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable and the cafe is a added bonus! The smoothies and soups are delicious and very reasonably priced.. We'll definitely be visiting again soon..

This place is great. In my 40+ years of having aquariums, I have never seen so many varieties of fish in one place. Staff was friendly and checked on us several times before our eventual purchase of a little dojo loach. Gentleman who helped us was knowledgeable and friendly. I also found their prices to be cheaper or comparable to big box stores. We will be back!

This place is amazing!!Firstly, when you walk in this place it’ll take your breath away, it’s so beautiful!! The owners & staff are amazing and so knowledgeable on their animals.The staff also teaches customers and kids about their animals and will let you pet some of them.Fantastic fair prices, and literally has everything you could need for reptiles & aquariums.All of the animals are very well taken care of, with clean enclosures. You can tell the owner and staff take pride in their work and love what they do.Thank you for an amazing store. I can’t wait to visit again!

I went on Sunday (2-13-2023) at around 5:30. One of the amazing employees, I think her name was Leah, helped my sister and I. She got tai mini crabs and I got two hermit crabs. She was so helpful and sweet. She made sure we knew what we were doing and told us all about them. She even spent the time to let me choose my individual hermit crabs. I really love this place and highly recommend it. I’ve never had a bad experience and I will be coming back and recommending it to everyone I know. Thank you so much Leah!

A must go to place if you are an aquarium enthusiast. The displays are amazing, particularly the rescue ponds. A wide variety of hardscape, plants, fish, and corals. Large selection of rimless tanks and tank accessories. Cafe has good food that's made to order.

Found my favorite fish store to go to! Your selection is awesome and the quality is above the others. When things get worse but I can’t wait to get some more cool fish from them and maybe a few plants to try out in the pond. Also can’t wait to get a new saltwater fish as well, just need to figure out what I wanna go with. 10 out of 10 would recommend to stop in at least and check out the selection in person. The two giant indoor ponds are so nice to look at and the café is great if you got some time to kill

This place is amazing!!! Big place, salt, and freshwater fish!!All the fish and corals are super healthy and any that are not are quarantined, which was nice to see! If you need assistance in setting up an aquarium there is a ton of help and they are glad to help. There's a Cafe that will open soon. The salt and fresh water ponds in front of the store are amazing. Reptiles, Cichlids as well many more animals to see. You will love this place.

They have a great selection of fish. They have the fish that are harder to find a lot of times and you can pretty much get whatever fish you want. All of the fish I've ever gotten from here have been healthy. Plus the store is really cool.

We went to their differences awareness event on Saturday. It was an amazing place very welcoming and very warm. Everyone there had a smile and it was great to see everyone.
