The dollar general in highlands Square is the WORST! I have never felt so profiled. I was followed around the store. Finally, I bought the bare minimum and left. I WILL NOT be returning.

There's a black woman there who is absolutely amazing. She calls women Queens and men Kings and is so helpful and polite. Not sure of her name but she deserves a raise. All of the people who work there are nice but she is so uplifting. She deserves employee of the year.

Very good staff there. They get a lot of business and the supplier could do a better job keeping the shelves stock but the folks who work in the building are a great team. I enjoy ever visit.

About a month ago, I came in to buy items for my organization’s serve day (we were loving on the homeless/transient for the holidays). The two ladies on shift (unfortunately, I don’t remember their names) were excellent in helping me to get the items I needed (tissue, skull caps, gloves). They made sure my tax exemption was honored and helped me to get my car loaded. They made a little easier to serve others. Should’ve done this sooner, but better late than never. Thanks to them for all their help!

Terrible!!! Do not go to the store. Not only do they have nothing that you need but Thomas and all the other people in there are just hanging out doing nothing absolutely nothing. Except Larry he is the one kid that is on top of everything The store honestly it needs to just be shut down. The new manager that came up in there she's not worried e right now imabout ordering new stuff at all they have been out of certain products for 4 months now. They just don't care they close for 2 and 3 hours at a time it's ridiculous.like right now I'm calling thee and they don't FEEL LIKE ANSWERING SO THEY ARE PICKING UP & HANGING UP!!!

For a Dollar General store this one is probably one of the better. I've found that the manager makes the store. The manager of this store is the best. Always busy the manager will gladly take a moment and help you with your needs. Shelves are stocked and neat. Employees are nice. Easy in and out.

Many of the items have great value. I enjoy the variety of goods in such a relatively small place - most everything from groceries to diapers. Cashiers are nice. Lines weren't too long. Overall, it was a good experience and I'd go again.

This location needs help, I waited in line because the customer in front of me wanted a certain brand of cigarettes, some guy walks out of the back, cash register in hand with money, I am thinking great another register is opening, Guy lays register on counter, goes to the back to look for cigarettes. Surprised his money was not taken. It would have been nice to ask the cigarette customer to step aside until cigarettes were actually found. This is not my usual shopping location. Only go here if it is the last minute option.

I've been to a LOT of DG stores and this one is by FAR my favorite. Super clean and very friendly people. By far Jessica is the kindest person I met in Jax! It was a pleasure to meet everyone in the store. Next time I'm in the Jax area I'll be shopping there again!

Under new management and the new manager is very friendly and caring. You can tell he cares about the store and wanting to make sure he gets the products in that customers are asking for. That's a big change from how it was before.

They're always short staffed and the register seems to always go down when I'm in line. And their prices aren't as cheap as they used to be. You can find cheaper things at Walmart. But it's an ok place for a quick stop on the way home.

It was okay but Dollar General need to do better with only having one cashier. The line was so long to check out that some people started to walk out due to it. But the cashier keep everything very professional. Having one cashier is a problem at the Dollar General's from Jacksonville FL to Georgia.

Great place to run in and pick up a few items like bleach, toiletries, food items. Just picked up some super cute tin yard decorations. Just stick them in the ground. $1 each. Wow!!!

Clean and organized store. Friendly service. Just might need a better check out line because it clogs the isles up. Beside that the guy that rung us out was nice

no shopping carts, completely aloft employees, the digital coupon system isn't working but they don't even tell you unless you catch it on your own! TERRIBLE! I won't be going back to that location, and I shop at DG at LEAST once every week

Line is sometimes long but the digital coupons are worth it to me on everyday household essentials like laundry soap, cleaning supplies, soaps etc. You can easily select your coupons online then enter your phone number at the register for the easy savings.

They had carts all in the aisle I couldn't push my cart down. bad customer service, it should have been more than one register open and the manager was just sitting there looking

The young lady that is the current manager of this location is turning this store around for the good, employees will help you find what you are looking for and will have you laughing by the time you go to leave, she is getting a great crew built, awesome job young lady

The prices are horrible. It was like shopping at a gas station. It seemed like a poor area so shouldn't their prices be lower? The customer service was decent though. If you don't mind high prices for everything then go for it.

They're stocking people don't show up and the buggies are always blocking the aisle you can't even get down to shop and make sure you don't want to buy one thing from there

Pretty decent at times but sometimes their lines can get a little long and it's only 2 registers not always both are in use though.

It always takes a long time to get in and out cashier having a conversation with another person not had any thing to do with the store I ask if they have dog collars she looked at me and rolled her eyes and said she thought so I ask her where it would be and she said over there some where and pointed and inform me she was on break and turned just that fast and started talking to the other person like I wasn't even standing there hum not sure if I'll ever shop at that location again

Usually everything is in stock. Good prices. Line can back up in late afternoon and on Saturdays if they only have 1 of the 2 registers open.

Need to stock merchandise, cashier did not know if they carry coffee stirs. Barely have sale items. Personal cell phones don't work in store must be blocked for employees but customers effected as well. Not sure if just on Northside store issue.
