I took Parker in for a spa bath. He was timid at first, but the crew told me he did excellent once he was in there. This was his first bath at somewhere other than the house tub. This lets me know they handled him with care and made him feel comfortable. Clipping his nails is a terror for me and the Central Bark groomers took care of him. Forever grateful!

10/10 for Central Bark. I am a very anxious dog mom who boarded our 11 year old bulldog. Bree and Julie asked all of my dozens of questions, very politely. I was hoping to board my dog more, but to no fault of Central Bark, she responded poorly. We have a puppy and if/when he is boarded, he will be at Central Bark!

After having a bad experience with another doggy day care that was nothing like paradise *hint hint* I am so glad I found Central Bark for my sweet June. She loves going to doggy day care here and when I pick her up in the afternoon she is so tired from all the fun playtime sometimes I have to carry her to the car lol. The staff has been so amazing and you can tell they really love animals and what they do.

Mark and his team at Central Bark are simply AWESOME! Our sweet pup Islay really enjoys going to doggy daycare and it’s evident in the excitement and enthusiasm she shows every time my husband or I bring her to Central Bark. We enjoy getting early afternoon report cards with pics of Islay’s day with her furry friends. Central Bark has an excellent play space and enrichment curriculum! Thanks Mark and team for taking great care of our sweet pup.

We have tried other doggy care places in town for our elderly French Bulldog and they couldn’t handle his special needs. Our vet recommended Mark and team from Central Bark — they were up to the challenge and exceeded our expectations! They are caring and gave us daily report cards with photos! He didn’t want to leave when we picked him up — he quickly learned they gave him lots of peanut butter with his meds. So grateful we found a wonderful place to leave him in his final years. Highly recommend Central Bark!

We are HUGE fans of this doggie daycare on San Jose Blvd in Lakewood! Elmer Fudge literally cannot wait to get inside their doors when he goes to "school" each week.You'll most likely be met by either Jess, the franchise owner, or Sarah, the manager, when you drop off or pick up. Both are sharp, efficient and most importantly, DOG PEOPLE who love their job:)Clearly our sweet little Covid puppy (read: needy adult dog now), loves it because he's exhausted when he gets home!

I had been a loyal customer of Central Bark since its inception, taking my three dogs there for grooming. Initially, when Mark was handling the franchise, we received great customer service. Over the past 18 months that service has slowly deteriorated to the point where we are no longer patrons of this establishment. They either made appointments for us and when we showed up, they had no record or continued to change our appointments with very short notice and no flexibility in rescheduling. Very disappointing service!

I have heard good things about this doggie daycare so I tried it out-the level of care has obviously gone down. I was 15 min late dropping my dog off for enrichment and after driving 20 min to the location they turned me away and said I would have to reschedule. And she did it rather bluntly to boot. I have enough going on in my life to stress out about dropping my dog off at daycare-I am looking for a warm, friendly, professional greeting and experience and this was not it. I would not recommend.

We’ve been taking our doodle to Central Bark for a few years now, for his grooming needs. Since his groomer left, it has been hit or miss. One time, his nails did not get done, another time, his hygiene area was missed. We’ve let it slide because we thought we’re gonna work through it with the new groomer. Unfortunately, the last time he was scheduled to have a haircut, he was cut way too short. On top of that, several things were missed again like his ears weren’t cleaned, his paws weren’t groomed and there were parts of him that were cut unevenly. We are very sad and disappointed that this relationship had to end.

I can’t express how THANKFUL we are to have found this place. We have a very nervous 5 month old puppy and have had nothing but OVERWHELMINGLY POSITIVE experiences here. The staff have been so patient with our little guy and spent an hour with us in the lobby to get him used to the place. Odin is like a whole new dog after just a few times going to daycare. The first day he was very nervous as he had had very little experience with other dogs as we had to first focus on his fear of people. But, the staff focuses on small groups of dogs and on the first day, they allow the new dog on the block to spend some time in the play area before bringing in other dogs. I am a huge advocate for force free/positive reinforcement training and I feel so comfortable trusting them to care for our puppy. I cannot thank them enough to treating Odin like their own and helping him gain the confidence he needs to become a properly socialized hound. The confidence Odin has gained here is unmeasurable. I cannot recommend this place enough!

The professionalism of the staff at Central Bark is evident by the care and compassion that is displayed with each interaction with clients and their fur babies. The warmth of the staff makes them feel like family, even from our very first meeting. The facility is immaculate and well kempt, even with unannounced drop ins. The staff genuinely love dogs and take the time to make sure the dogs are comfortable while at daycare or grooming. I wish we had found them sooner!

I can only rate the experience I've had on the phone with them.I called to speak with someone to inquire about their dog birthday parties because I (1) saw they did parties on their website and (2) was looking to host a party for my dog since the dog park we would normally host at is now closed.The phone would ring, and then no one would answer. I probably called about 2-3 times before someone answered (this is no exaggeration). I didn't call consecutively/continuously 2-3 times, but I made that amount of calls throughout the day to this location (during their posted business hours). When I finally got on the phone with a staff member, she was abrupt and unprofessional, which I brushed off at first because I thought, "Maybe she's busy and taking it out on me."After asking my question, she was short with her answer, and it was a quick no with no explanation - just no. I said that I saw it on their website, and she said, "Well, thats a mistake, and we don't do that here."I don't think it deserves a 1-star rating off of this experience as I haven't used their services, and off of my first impression, I wouldn't bring my dog here and woulsnt trust them with my dog. This call stained the business brand for me quite frankly, and the business owner may want to work on their professionalism there. A 3-star was more than fair from what I experienced since I had no experience with their actual services and only got as far as a call.After speaking with a friend who also inquired, she said she had the same experience with someone on the phone who was rude here.

Highly recommend! Loved that we got a daily report card with photos letting us know how she was doing. Was really nervous to kennel her as we had a bad experience with another pet being kenneled at another facility. But you can tell by talking to the owner that they are passionate about animals and taking good care of them and she came out her tail just a going and happy, not skittish at all. So happy I chose to board her with Central Bark.

Mark & his team are awesome! The facility is very clean and the staff are friendly. I’ve previously taken my pup to another doggie daycare & Central Bark definitely interacts, plays and engages dogs much more. I also love that the staff utilize enrichment activities and some basic behavior commands. I’ll continue to drive a few extra minutes to bring my dog here!

Mark and the staff are absolutely wonderful and it is so comforting leaving the pups in good hands knowing they will be treated well and played with to their hearts’ content. Our dog loves Central Bark! We are very picky about who watches our dog, they treat him like family!! It’s very clean and the staff is super friendly and helpful. My favorite part is the “report card” you get during the day with pictures and comments. Highly recommend!!

My girl, Nellie, loves to come here for boarding! She gets a luxury den, in a quiet room, to herself and lots of play time. I get pictures and updates on how she is doing. I’ve never seen her so happy and relaxed after being boarded! Definitely recommend Central Bark for boarding (and their day-care too) - Mark & the staff really goes above and beyond to make sure all the dogs are happy and comfortable while there!

Scheduled a grooming visit for our border collie mix Zoe. When we walked in we were greeted by Mark who is very welcoming and knowledgeable. There was a good vibe all around. The other patrons I encountered also seemed to be good natured.We did not use the daycare option (but would recommend based on the other patrons I encountered and I wouldn't hesitate to use their services if needed).Most importantly I felt comfortable leaving Zoe with them for her grooming. She smells great, looks beautiful and seems content. What more could I want?

Central Bark is the best thing to happen to our little dog Paisley in a long time! We’ve tried a few different daycares around Jacksonville and Central Bark is far and away the BEST! The staff and owner, Mark, are so friendly and welcoming, they know each dog by name and welcome Paisley each day we come in with open arms! They are genuinely excited to see her and the feeling is mutual. Paisley literally pulls on her leash to get inside and start her play date with her friends! I took a tour of the facilities and they are gorgeous! Bright, bold colors, big play spaces with nice, paw-friendly flooring, and a great outdoor area. The best part is, it’s not just a bunch of dogs walking around staring at each other. This is real enrichment daycare, they play games with your dog and keep them stimulated and their brains active, not just their bodies! Our Paisley comes back home exhausted but fully content. Central Bark is the best place to take your dog for daycare, boarding and grooming in Jax- I can’t say enough good things about them! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!

I'm sitting on our balcony across the lawn from Central BARK (aptly named) on San Jose Blvd listening to a worker yelling at many barking dogs:"HEY!" "STOP!" "DON'T DO THAT!" "QUIET!"Day after day after day after day, weekdays, weekends, nights.Periods of quiet with choruses of barking and yelling.If this is what makes dogs happy, then this is a very successful business.
