I absolutely LOVE Bark Avenue, and so does our girl Wren! Everyone on staff are SO friendly (to her AND us), and my husband and I don’t worry about her at all while we’re away! Whether she’s being boarded or she’s at daycare we can rest assured knowing that she is living her best life and being well loved and cared for. Thankful for our ‘framily’ at Bark Avenue! ❤️

Good evening, I would like to make a complaint. I took my dog to have a bath and groom, when I picked her up she was very wet, I asked and the girl who gave it to me said it was cologne, that's why she looked damp, the next day she had a bad smell, as if I hadn't showered for days. It is only 3 days old and the smell is very strong. in fact the bad smell. I paid 82.00 dollars for a very poor service.

Groomer is very nice and wants to know details. She did a beautiful job on my two little dogs.

We are so happy that we found this boarding place for our pup. It is exactly what we were hoping for when we moved down here from Pittsburgh. With the indoor/outdoor kennels and play time with the other dogs, it’s the best of setup I could imagine. Our cocker spaniel, Tate, spent his first night here earlier this week, and he seemed to love it. The kennel even gave him a free night stay after letting us tour the facility last week. It definitely put my mind at ease knowing where he was going to be kept while we left him in a new place overnight. They even allowed us to bring in some of his items from home to make his stay more comfortable. I appreciate how accommodating they are, and look forward to returning for another visit.Everyone we have encountered there has been super friendly, and I have no doubt that he was well cared for after our tour guide answered all of our questions and treated the other pups with love. We are thrilled to know he will have a safe and secure place to go whenever we leave town :).

Only but good things to say about Bark Avenue. The staff is very friendly towards myself and my dog everyday I bring him in for daycare. Day after day, they take great care of Maverick and he comes home exhausted from all the playing. A bone shaped pool, say no more! The owners are amazing as well and very personable. I would recommend this place to anyone with a dog/ cat!

Great place for grooming, boarding, and day camp! Staff is friendly and helpful. I am pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of not only the front area but the dogs' play areas. Staff is very attentive to the pets as well as humans! I've been to another larger resort nearby and was not as impressed. Oh, they also require current vaccine records for any pets staying so keep that on mind if this is a last-minute decision. Once they have the record, you want need to show it again until it expires depending on the vaccine (rabies, bordetello, etc.)

the best dog facility in jax! our german shepherd, whiskey, loves it here. he’s taken care of during his stay at daycare & boarding. the staff truly are great and are professional when it comes to handling the pups. they get loads of playtime and even have an outdoor pool. whiskey enters the facility with zoomies and comes home tired but happy. although i do wish they would send daily photos or report cards at the end of a few nights board, it isn’t a deal breaker. couldn’t recommend this place enough!!

It’s 90 plus degrees outside and there is nowhere for the dogs to cool down. Everything is outdoor. The boarding suites have indoor space but they open the suite doors and it so hot a musty in there. These poor dogs they looked so hot and miserable. This place is not temp controlled, specially during a time of day it needs it most. :(

Love Bark Avenue! We drop our little guy off multiple times a week for daycare and he always enjoys it. Scheduling boarding is easy also and affordable.

Their pricing is very reasonable at $50/night. They also have a very nice outdoor area. My dog seems to have enjoyed his time here!

My family has used Bark Ave for a few years now for Grooming & Boarding services. Although I love their Grooming for our Morkie, my personal pups, Max and Paris, were recently boarded there, and even with clear instructions on how to take care of them, when they were separated I was not notified and other instructions, specifically with my chihuahua's anxiety care were not followed to a T unless I repetitively called and asked for it.As a highly involved dog mum, I need to always know what is going on with my fur babies (which is why I also purchased the cameras). Now, I did specifically ask to separate them if necessary for feeding, but when they did so, Paris was left alone without any bedding overnight. I supplied them with bedding but because of my GSD's behavior, they were unable to get it out of their initial suite that they shared. Although I understand that specific reason, they failed to provide her with anything comfortable that they have on hand for comfort so she was just pacing from what I saw on the cameras throughout the night- also they didn't even use the calming spray I packed for her because she has severe anxiety and said to use when necessary. For me, separating her without anything obviously would increase her anxiety so that spray should have been used in the suite. Moreover, as I previously mentioned, I opted to purchase the daily cameras for 6.50 a day. I was very content with them until while on my trip and checking in on them at the end of the evening, I found that their cameras DO NOT show anything at night. They do not pick up on your animal to view them other than small dark blobs if they are moving around (like Paris was when I found her pacing). For four evenings, two dogs, cameras each day, and one frosty paw to calm Paris during a storm, I spent $380.I feel like their boarding procedures and education on animals such as the animal's specific natural behaviors (for example GSDs are naturally loyal and protective, and chihuahuas are known to have more anxiety than other breeds), although I specified my dog's specific behaviors in my personal notes, needs to be significantly improved. Our Morkie will still go for grooming (the only reason I am giving 3 stars)because it is well-priced and I have never been unhappy with that, but my GSD and Chihuahua will be going elsewhere from now on as I was just dissatisfied with the overall service and disappointed in their camera quality at night.I will note they that did answer my concerns on calls and explain away the camera quality but it just wasn't the care I expected and I just don't feel comfortable anymore leaving my babies here while on trips.

I am super disappointed in the boarding policies of this neat place. I've had my dog there for daycare before and its a nice place with a dog splash pool and plenty of yard space. So when we needed to board I thought this would be a good choice. When I called to book, I was told my dog would get 2 30 minute play sessions each day. I also requested a bath for pickup on Sunday which he told me would be fine and he scheduled it. Fast forward 3 days later, I show up and just started asking about the play time and how much it is for more than the 2 30 minutes sessions. She told me that they no longer do the 2 30 minute session and to add on daycare it is 25 and for 30 min its 15 extra. Then I asked her to make sure the bath was scheduled and she said they don't do baths on the weekend. I was given so much wrong information when I called to book and likely would have chosen another Kennel if I had known that on top of the 42.00 I pay per night (they recently raised their prices too) I have to pay an extra 25 just to let her play. So bummed. I wanted this closer location to be a win for me.Update: They saw my review and called me promptly to apologize and they remedied the situation which is commendable. Review updated.

We have an 8 year old Mastiff that has never stayed away from home. We have been visiting Bark Avenue recently and the experiences have been excellent! I first stopped by during the timed hours and received a tour of the wonderful facility - very clean and nice. Zeus has been enjoying his day care visits this week and the staff have been outstanding! Thank you for taking such great care of my baby.

We've used this location many times over the years and have never had trouble like this. We boarded our 5 dogs in a luxury suit( we were told numerous times they could stay together unless a fight were to happen) if for some reason they needed to be split up we would be notified immediately. Not once was a phone call made to let us know they had split them. We made sure to specify which dogs NEEDED to stay paired up if that were to happen due to anxiety and they separated them anyway! Again not once were we notified until we picked them up. My husband paid for their stay, brought all the dogs belongings to the car only to be stopped by the owner and told that we needed to pay another 800 dollars because the employee messed up? What?! Oh and don't bother wanting to see your pups at all because they offer cameras that don't work and will just tell you over and over that they are being fixed the next day.

NOT A GOOD BUSINESS!!!The groomer ruined my dog.I wrote a review on Nextdoor and her employees started attacking me. When I blocked them, they just signed into a new account and continued. They then reported my profile to get my review removed.Seriously, no wonder they have so many good reviews, their employees have multiple accounts and they attack any negative reviews. This nightmare just keeps getting worse.DON'T MAKE MY MISTAKE, JUST STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE PLACE!!!

This is the BEST and ONLY place I will ever bring my dog in Jax. Great prices, great standard of care, and great experiences all around.Bark Avenue was able to fit my dog Moose in on incredibly short notice for an extended boarding. I was unable to care for him due to injury, but was able to trust and rely on the fantastic staff at Bark Avenue. In addition, my dog always comes home from daycare happy, tired as anything, and full of joy. Their daycare attendants are proactive, and the staff as a whole is helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. The level and quality of care for my dog is unparalleled, and they know him by name. Grooming is fantastic too!If I could give 6/5 I would! Thanks Bark Avenue ❤

Oaklie (our Yellow Labrador) loves it! We have been very pleased with the attention and care she gets at doggy daycare. She plays hard and is 'dog' tired when she comes home.If you're not sure about this place, take a tour of the facility - that's what we did! Then we took Oakley for just a couple hours the first few times to make sure it was a fit her.She was only 4 months old the first time she went and she was terrified. We felt so bad leaving her that we almost didn't. That's the day she discovered water and would have been happy if we'd never picked her up.Now when we approach the bridge she knows where she's going and there is no stifling her excitement.BTW, we've only used their overnight boarding services once but was very pleased. We'll use them again if we ever travel somewhere where we can't take Oaklie. The only thing that would make this place better is if they had a Doggy School Bus that would come pick her up! :)

We boarded here for the first time on the weekend of February 26th. I found Bark Avenue through through business connections with the owner, and read the reviews for myself to help make my decision. The staff was very friendly and informative and explained all of our options over the phone before we booked. We have two large breed (over 100lbs) dogs and they were able to kennel together in a normal sized room, although they do have larger rooms with more amenities that we may look into in the future for longer stays. Our dogs were there from Saturday morning to Monday afternoon. When we came to pick them up, we asked to tour the facility as we did not have time to when we dropped the dogs off. The girls were very nice and gave us a great walk-around of the facility. When we got to our pups, they were happy to see us, but seemed very content and comfortable. We had bathed them a few days before their stay, and they were still very clean. They were also not bursting with energy as if they had stayed in the kennel the whole time, which to me says they went on plenty of walks and had good play time while they were there. Over all we are very happy with Bark Avenue and will book again next time we go out of town.

Super friendly, and super dog-focused. All runs are indoor-outdoor. Security and cleanliness are top-notch.This is an update (11-27-22) to my review of many years ago: We have continued during these years to be regular satisfied customers. Today I want to add special thanks to employees Brooke and Sherri who, during our latest stay, provided for a special service need that arose suddenly and unexpectedly. They jumped in smoothly and willingly to solve our issue! Thanks to both!!

Worst place EVER!! They milk you for every dollar you have in your pocket. Picked up my grand-dog at 6:03 PM, the rude customer service representative said it will be an extra $42, total charge for one daycare $72 (for 3 minutes). If you want to view your dog throughout the day, via webcam that's $6.50 daily charge. My dog goes to Dogtopia- the one-day daycare fee is $30, they stay open until 7 PM (convenient), you download their app. & you automatically have camera access to your buddy (no charge), the customer service is out of this world!!Because it was pouring rain when I arrived (which caused the 3 minute delay) they walked my grand-dog, an 8 lb. toy poodle up the sidewalk in the pouring rain, I received him soaking wet. NEVER going back!

My dog, now 5, has been going here since he was a few months old. The minute he had all of his shots I sent him off with the neighbors dog to play. I was really worried about the concept of daycare given that my puppy was a bottle fed foster with some issues. He had bad separation anxiety but after a few months of going, we would go inside and he would leave me in the dust. The staff here are phenomenal. They truly show they care about your dog. I even started using the grooming service, again nervous because he bit the first groomer. He did extremely well here and the groomer said she has no issues whatsoever with him. Highly recommend this doggie daycare!

Outstanding customer service and well ran operation. Our dog hated to leave. The facility is spotless ans smells great for caring for pets. The boarding spaces are great and they offer live feed for those who are weary. The staff was so kind and accomodating. My dog will forever be boarded here.

These guys were able to take my dogs at a last moments notice and for that I'm super grateful. Their office staff were also nice. My dogs did smell like straight up urine when i picked them up though which is gross. Also when i picked them up i was charged a higher price than quoted. They also asked if i was a first responder for a discount at checkout. I replied with yes im a nurse. And they said that didn't count. Since when is a nurse not a first responder? We literally keep people alive and take care of sick people all day but ok....

We have a golden retriever (Riley) who like most pet owners identify such pets as their children. We have been going here for past three (3) years and have never had a bad stay. The staff is friendly, polite and always prompt and one of the best things their prices are fair. The facilities are always clean and most importantly Riley seems to love it so much that it seems like he doesn't want to come home. We've had to use other facilities [Pet Paradise] and not even a close comparison. Bark Avenue truly a calm, safe and fun place if your looking for your animal to stay. Thank you!!!

Updated rating and earlier review. Long story short, I've boarded and day cared dogs here over the past 2+ years without issues, but did encounter one during my most recent trip. Picked up my two dogs on a Sunday after a 4 night stay. One was fine (an alpha Malinois), but the other was not (a submissive Aussie). Unfortunately, the owner was away for the weekend and the staff did not notice my Aussie had somehow been in a fight and was injured. While not entirely uncommon for dogs in these facilities, I was upset the staff did not inform me nor notice before bringing her out to me. Thankfully, they agreed to an immediate refund for the entire stay and advised I take her to the vet and they would cover any costs. I emailed the owner (Ty) that afternoon with all the details and followed up with a call at 7:30am Monday morning. He immediately knew who I was and what I was calling about. Not only was he extremely responsive, apologetic, and took responsibility for the incident, he even offered to get her in at his own vet immediately. He reimbursed us for her antibiotics same day and followed up with my husband and I separately. I don't think he could have responded any better to the situation and I'm extremely confident he took the proper actions with his staff to avoid this happening again. It's hard to rate a facility separate from the staff separate from the owner. I do believe this was an accident and would overall recommend Bark Avenue. For any facility not just here, I do suggest 'testing' your dog/s over day care and short boards until the pet/s and you become acclimated with the environment and staff. Don't hesitate to ask to meet Ty yourself while there. He is the original and current owner.
