I gave it A 3, stars" today I was told they are not giving out Quarters such as example if I exchanged a $10 dollar bills for returned all Quarters. Theirs not in Quarters anymore due to shortage in their register. Their cart on wheels is not the greatest while your pushing trying to get your food item and ect. Also the items, food, drinks, are high over priced" I hope their Rewards stays and get better cause we all do need A saving now and than.

Our only grocery store in Interlachen. I give it 5 stars for their sales. Regular prices are too high. There are a few of workers who deserve recognition, the deli peple, cashier Susan, the woman in the meat department and mostly Ronaldo the man who does it all. He makes shopping there a joy, so friendly and helpful, a real asset to the store. If they would lower there everyday prices they would get better reviews and more customers. Oh and their carts are terrible, most every one has bad wheels which makes it hard to steer. The new VIP rewards and senior discounts help out a lot. I hope they keep it and add more rewards for faithful customers

Small supermarket, with a limited selection of brands. It does have most types of items one would need from a grocery store. Some sale items are very good deals.

I just got some ground chicken from Hitchcock in interlachen. $6.00. Other places is half that price. On top of that. The meat was tasting funny after cooking it. Whole pot of chicken chilli in the trash. Not going to stay in business prices higher then other stores. Then the saltine crackers stale. Never again ill shop there. I'll drive 20 minutes away before I go there again.

Place stinks like a dirty bathroom. Prices are outrageously high - even in these inflationary times. Excepting the folks in the Deli, which gets 5 stars daily, the rest of the store staff act like they don't want to be there and don't want any customers there either. It's sad, really. So many residents, including me, would rather drive 20+ minutes to Palatka than shop in the local store that, with just a little more love, could get and keep a captive Interlachen audience.

Overall a really good experience. For a small town market I found certain products I couldn't find in a larger market. I also find the staff helpful. My one drawback was I found some of the prices extremely high. Otherwise highly recommend.

Went for corn on the cob...they only had frozenI ended up getting a bag of apples. Not too thrilled. Service was good but left disappointed..

People are nice and friendly, but the floors are filthy and laden with years of crud. Just imagine the back of the store and kitchen areas have the same attention. I'd like to say it is isolated to this location but Alachua and Hawthorne stores are as bad or worse. Clean up on everything needed, instead of socializing.

I’ve lived here my whole life. The community of interlachen has always supported Hitchcock’s. The customer service is usually pretty good, lots of locals and high schoolers get their first jobs at this store. But over the last year, we’ve watched prices skyrocket. True, groceries have went up everywhere, but Hitchcock’s is way beyond expensive. Publix & Winn Dixie are cheaper - significantly! $12 for a jug of orange juice? $10 for a box of family size velveeta Mac? I’m a stay home mom on a serious budget so I shop everywhere, and I am telling y’all, those prices are going to put y’all out of business. Less and less people shop this store every year. Ocassionally, I’ll see a deal in the ad, a real deal, and I’ll go in for that one thing. 99% of the time, Hitchcock’s sales aren’t actually competitive.Also, it was time to replace those raggedy buggies a year ago. There’s not but 15 carts to begin with and every single one of them makes such a racket when you push them. 2023 is the year everyone is struggling to keep food on the table. It would be nice if our home grown, been here forever, local establishment had kept their “old” high prices instead of using inflation as a scape goat for the new high prices. (Even 3 years ago, you’d have paid more for groceries with Hitchcock’s) it’s always been expensive, but we’ve always supported it. Not anymore.

Don't shop here to much but often come in for the prepared food at the deli.Seems to me a good deal for a hot meal. Needs some changes to the menu but decent for the price.

I would have given them a 5 star but they just raised the price on their dinners from $5.99 to $8.99. Some of the prices are ok and others are too high. You have to decide if the convince is worth it. Staff is friendly and helpful.

As for cleanliness the store would get a fair ranking from me. The prices on all the items except for just a very few things was extremely high and they did not have bulk item products that I usually purchase in order to try to save money.

Just poured out 2 gallons of sour milk purchased two days ago. The 3 lbs of ground beef purchased same day is starting to smell as well. This was our first time shopping here and will definitely be our last. Why do folks in this area think such poor quality is acceptable and normal? Very sad really.

Not the cheapest place to get your groceries, but we don't have much choice, it being the only real grocery store in town. Their meat dept. Usually has a good selection, gotta catch the sales though. They made a recent change that I like, by registering with your phone number, which can be done while checking out, into their points system, you gain a certain amount of points every time you shop, depending on what you buy. When those points add up, you can cash them in for certain foods, which you can see at the pin pad at the checkout line. They finally organized their meat dept. by animal, which makes way more sense than the random placement they had before. Chicken in one section, beef and pork in others. The deli has great fried chicken, among other things. Their produce is always fresh, and they have a good selection. You can also shop online and get your groceries delivered or pick them up at the store.

This place is so disgusting, As soon as I walked in I was hit with a dirty pungy moldy smell. The floors are extremely dirty, the store looks like it's stuck in the 1970's and that looks like the last time they cleaned the place. The frozen food coolers are not cold so the icecream packaging feels soggy. The prices on the food look like the same prices as the fresh market so needless to say this place is WAY overrated. Then there are the employees, all look angry and are extremely rude. Maybe backwoods good ole boy small town people think this is a acceptable store but this is beyond gross, I don't know how the board of health has not closed it down.

I love our local Hitchcock's, Listen prices are up everywhere, if you shop smart and try to just buy what's on sale you'll get more for money. This store is clean and they have courteous and compassionate employees.

The spot for jams, jellies, salsas, relishes, & pickled specialities. The deli is great with cold salads and warm meals. Produce is fresh. Bakery is awesome with long johns and assorted cakes. Gotta love the independent grocers.

Great store need to get some better selection of meat. I asked the butcher and he said they aren't ordering any back strap. I bought 2 previously but now I'm looking for another place to get it now. But it's always a good place to stop for everything else

This store is old and basic. Deli and prepared food are not good and expensive for what they are. We got to Keystone heights instead. The staff are great.
