They always get my Yorkie scheduled right away, have convenient hours, offer special prices, and have done a great job. He has seizures so needs to be seen more often, get bloodwork, and pick up medication, so we have more interaction with the office. They all have done a great job and are friendly. The new Dr J. Is professional and does an excellent job. Highly recommend!

I took my pup Lotus in for neutering. The staff was very friendly and took great care of my baby before, during and after his surgery! The doctor was very caring and answered all of my questions. Great place to go for fair prices for pet care. The waiting room is very small so be prepared to have your pet on a tight leash or wait outside until they are ready to see you. The staff is really good about getting you in a room so you are not crowded in the waiting room while doing paperwork. Will return for sure! Oh and my Lotus is recovering GREAT!!

Bad on every level:Wrong info on chart (age, weight and name!)Gave me a huge dog collar that her head slipped right out ofGave me huge antibiotic pills instead of liquid form (My puppy is only 2.3 lbs - can't swallow such large pills!)She got staff infection after surgery (see pics!)Girls at desk are rude and very impatientAlways on hold for a long time!Sad to say but this was a horrible, very stressful experience.I seriously don't know how they have any good reviews.....unless they changed doctors, which could be the case.

I've been seeing Dr Jay, Danielle and the staff for some time now with my pup and I've really gotten the best service I could have asked for. My pup has been going through a very hard time with a condition he has but Dr Jay, Danielle and the team have really gotten it into a stable and controllable state so that he can actually have a high quality life. I am beyond appreciative and thankful - they are always available and always reachable. Highly recommend.

Hello viewers I recently took my dog fluffy for a dental procedure. I have to say I was completely satisfied with Sun Surf and my decision for choosing them as a provider for my little guy. They took complete care of business when it came to resolving any questions and concerns regarding the procedure. My dog had been suffering with halitosis for some time now and quite frankly I tried everything to manage it. Nothing seemed to work and so I decided to get some professional advice and support. I am so glad that I did. It turns out fluffy had 10 rotted teeth and an infection which was the source of his issues that needed to be properly addressed. I have to say the doctor called me and assured me that my dog was doing well under the anesthesia and advised me of what needed to be done. I appreciated that very much. Please do not judge Sun Surf based off a few bad reviews. Everyone’s experience is completely different and a good friend of mine highly recommended them. If your dog needs a procedure please make sure you get pre op lab work done prior to the procedure. It may cost more but will ultimately save your pets life and give you peace of mind. Remember life is short and their lives are shorter so take care of all your loved ones Thank you all at Sun surf Dr. Jay and staff for the wonderful service will definitely be back in the future. I've had really good experience at Sun and Surf. I've been coming for years and will continue coming. The staff is amazing! Shout-out to Desiree for going above and beyond for everyone. I know that she loves all the animals dearly and cares for them like they're her own.I have complete trust in the doctors, techs and everyone that works there. They're usually able to see patients the same day.

We are so grateful for Sun-Surf and ALL their staff. They are all so caring and supportive. They offer walk-ins for emergency situations...which truly alleviates so much worry. The environment is full of LOVE and community. Thank you all for what you do and your gifts and just being there! We found a place that we resonate with. It's important to feel that. If you don't find a place you do resonate with so you feel at peace. Make sure before you decide to post a negative review it is true and fully informed and that you have an open understood dialog with the doctor before you post the review. If you don't resonate with flip flops the beach vibe may not be for you. Sometimes 2+2 is just 4. There's a place for everyone. You can always choose to go about things differently. We LOVE our babies when emotions run high we spiral...we have all been there. This place used to be great, now there is a new doctor (Dr. Anderson) We took our dog because she was urinating in the house all of a sudden which is not like her. The front office staff asked what was going on and I gave them a detailed description. The doctor came in and had no idea what was going on with our dog, I guess they don’t communicate with each other? He was extremely dismissive about our concerns. They claim they ran a urine culture, I’m not sure if this is true. He claimed that basically nothing was wrong and sent us on our way. The problem persisted so we took her to a new vet where they diagnosed her with stones in her kidneys that require surgery. After years of using this office we will never go back.

I really enjoy the new veterinarian . I was just in with my daughter and her older dog and we were really pleased with the treatment plan and detailed explanation of the plan. I also was just in for a dental cleaning with my Morkie and her teeth are sparkling again. The office staff are nice and helpful every time I am in the office.

I can’t say enough good about them. I took my 13-year-old Pomeranian there for a dental that was actually an emergency. He quit eating and lost a significant amount of weight. Dr. West immediately did the dental . he recovered Quickly and is eating again.I take both of my French Bulldogs and my little old Pom there for everything. Both Dr. Jay and Dr. West are great.

The service I've received here is the worst I've ever had as a customer within a business. I thought it was possible it'd improve if I stuck w Sun Surf as a regular client, but more often than not, it was proven to be terrible.. the staff is rude, unwelcoming, rushes all services, double schedules/doesn't give appointments priority and there is an overall lack of care for the patrons, my pet and overall customer service/pet care and treatment from most of the staff. There is no acknowledgment when you arrive and a condescending attitude from a cpl staff members. When I brought this to staff attention, the response I got was insincere and clear that nothing would be done and they didn't care. This is not the type of place I will be giving me business to or the type of care I want for my pet or myself. I am so happy I finally broke the cycle and have since changed vets. From the very 1st visit with our new vet, it's already been made clear that there IS better service available and I'm glad I switched.

Beware of this place! Someone I know took their yorkies there for teeth cleaning and on one dog they pulled 13 teeth (with owner's permission, but why so many at once?). The holes weren't stitched properly leading to profuse bleeding. The owner had to take her dog to an emergency vet to save his life. Sun Surf never returned calls even from the emergency hospital. I would say to avoid this practice at all costs.

I cannot say enough good things about sun surf and their staff. I have 4 dogs that I’ve been taking to them for the last 5 years and they are always so accommodating and treat my babies like their own. Recently my 13.5 year old chihuahua woke up and couldn’t walk I called at 8am and they got me in 30 min later!!! She was diagnosed with IVDD by doctor Jay. She was completely immobile and I thought I was going to have to put her down I was a complete mess but not only were they helping my dog they had so much empathy towards myself as well. With surgery not being an option with her age Dr. Jay came up with a plan to start Adoquin injections which I hadn’t heard of but After showing me multiple testimonials of other dogs before and after we decided to proceed. After all 8 injections my girl is walking around again and in great spirits. We have done teeth cleanings, a spay, cancer removal, check ups and multiple more in betweens and I have never had a bad experience. I’ve always listened to their suggestions on what was needed and all proper labs etc. and nothing but great outcomes for my 4 dogs! Dr jay and his staff saved my girls life and I couldn’t be more thankful. The best part they don’t cost and arm and a leg like most vets. Would highly recommended!

The best animal hospital in the Tampa Bay Area. We live 50 minutes from Sun-Surf and initially brought our new puppy there because it was recommended to us but we planned to find a more local vet eventually. The front desk employees were so kind and helpful and the whole place just had a great vibe from the start. But the moment Dr. Jay walked into the exam room, we knew we’d be driving almost two hours round trip for as long as we have pets. He was friendly and caring, and we could tell immediately that he cares deeply for his patients. He answered my many questions thoroughly and he took such good care of our puppy. We went back again today for puppy’s vaccines and he was just as wonderful. We’re so thankful for this veterinarian and all of the employees at Sun-Surf. The bonus is they take Saturday appts and they have super reasonable pricing.Edit on 02/10/2024- Our dog, Gary, was having itchy skin and they called me back within minutes then had an appt for me for the next day, today. Again, Dr. Jay was amazing. He fixed Gary right up! So worth the two hour round trip drive for such a great experience and to have a vet we can trust with our sweet boy.

Dr.Jay and his staff are caring and professional. Dr. Jay diagnosed my cocker spaniel with Chronic Recurring Pancreatitis. Without his knowledge, and compassion my dog would have died. Almost killed my dog!!! Horrible they didn't know what they were doing. My dog was sick all they did was give him 2 types of pain relievers, some type of cillian and a steroid for a bacterial infection. This place over charged and didn't give my animal what he needed. For a month I provided my dog meds he didn't need! When I called twice they never called me back until my new vet needed their previous records, by the way they also ignored my new vet. This place will lie , take your money and your left broke n heartbroken bc your fur baby is still sick

I took 3 of my Yorkies for dental cleaning and 1 of them had 13 extractions and left all his holes from where his teeth/tooth were pulled opened no stitches were done this was on January 20, 2024. No instructions but to follow the instructions on the medication but no instructions on eating soft or dry food. After he ate, he was bleeding nonstop and we had to rush him to the emergency and he was there until Monday January 22, 2024. Not only did they have to do surgery but they had to give my baby blood transfusion. He almost died on us. I’ve tried talking to the owner to no avail. They need to pay for what happened to my baby. I’ve already filed a complaint with BBB, I blasted them on Nextdoor media and I’ve contacted 8 on your side. Next I will be goi g to file a small claims. Get ready cause here I come.

In November, we brought our cat (punkin) in who was suffering a lot by labored breathing. X-rays showed she was full of fluid. We knew at that point she would have to be euthanized based on my discussion with a tech. The female vet(Dr. West i believe) said she was basically drowning and suffering. Then she told me to hold our cat down. I thought she was going to feel around on her. To my astonishment she jabbed a needle into her side to draw out fluid to show me. WTH. We already knew that based on the x-rays showing it clearly. Why was our beloved pet and myself subjected to this kind of 3rd world treatment and pain. I could see if she was asleep or sedated. Why did she do that and have me, not a tech, hold her down and do that. Our cat screamed out and tensed up so much that I can't get that out of my head. We had to euthanize her but my lasting memory of her was causing unnecessary pain that I would never agree to. We had the x-rays that showed all the fluid build up. Your vet is a heartless vet that needs to have much better bedside manners. Who does things like that? Especially in front of a pet parent. I am really upset at the way she was handled. I will never take a pet there.

I'm so glad I found these guys through there advertising and special they are ruaning.I highly recommend this place , the staff is amazing. One star is far too grand for the customer service I received at this location. I called in peril because my little furry friend was in pain, only to be put on hold for 20 minutes. I call back and they pick up the phone off the receiver and immediately hang up. I wish only the best for all people all around the world but I hope whoever answers the phone at this location steps on a lego first thing in the morning.

We have taken our dogs here now twice for their dental cleanings.Cleanings are fairly priced ($200 per per).The staff seems to care about your animals!The only downside, they are always over booked resulting in a super high anxiety atmosphere for your animal. You will be in a tiny waiting room standing with at least 10 other people at a time, so just be prepared to manage your animal.

Very nice and friendly. They helped me take care of a stray cat that I brought into my home with an eye removal. Very reasonably priced. Not very close to my home but I will continue to take my pets to them. Here is an update a few weeks later of what my cat looks like. He is much more playful and energetic. Just recently got a puppy and we of course have been bringing her here for her shots and flea meds. Prices are Very reasonable here. Update .Coconut is the newest member of the family another stray we took in and got him neutered her at Sun Surf. Where else would we go 🙂 now here are some more pictures of my happy pups

I brought my two little dogs there and Dr. Jay was very rude and uncomfortable to be around. I was very disappointed in his behavior I will not be returning for a follow up appointment..
