I’d never think about sending our sweet boy Teddy to any other boarding provider.They take amazing care of him and treat him like their own while we are away.We get several photos of him everyday and my daughter hugs and kisses each and every one ❤️Thank you for all you doA paw Above all !!

This review is long overdue.I’ve been bringing my pup Stitch here for a few years now, and I can’t emphasize how much he LOVES this place 😍.He has severe anxiety; scared of his own shadow, people, noises…everything! When he gets there, he shows a completely different personality. As soon as we turn the corner he’s jumping to get out of the car and rushing to go inside. He’s excited to see the staff and the other pups (he rarely plays with other dogs at the park and is usually scared of people).Unfortunately we moved so I don’t get to bring him here as much. I know how happy it makes him though so we still try to come once in a while so he can play with his friends. I’ve tried to take him to daycares closer to us but he’s never excited when we get there, and getting him to stay is usually a struggle (like lay down on the floor, pout and cry type of struggle).The owner, Gretchen, and the rest of the staff are truly amazing and I can’t thank them enough for taking care of my baby .I really cannot recommend this place enough if you’re looking for somewhere that’ll take great care of your fur baby/ies 🐶 .

I have great dog walking service from the team members. They know my dog and I trust them to ensure they provide him with his afternoon walk and a treat. I count on them during the week when I can’t get home to walk him during the day and they have been consistent, timely and caring.

Our 3 year old terrier mix absolutely loves spending time at A Paw Above. One of the reasons we love A Paw Above is because they did not discriminate against her breed. They gave her a chance to be her sweet, social self with other dogs her size and it has worked out great! The staff also sends us pictures/videos while she is there being boarded and we always look forward to those. Our girl comes home happy and tired every single time!

Terrible. I am in complete shock! Check out my dog before and after grooming. She transformed our dog completely- shaved all her hair. We even showed her a picture of the grooming that we wanted. I just cannot believe this. I have NEVER EVER had any of my dogs shaved completely before. Stay away- turn around. Plus she is rude.

This place is GREAT! Gretchen is so easy to work with and the entire staff were so friendly and welcoming. This was our dogs first day at doggy day care and it wasn't hard at all leaving her because of the attention and love we could tell she was going to get. If you have doggy day care needs, put A Paw Above at the top of your list. Our little Cookie is looking forward to spending lots more time there. Thanks Gretchen and team!

For my sheepadoodle, I asked “ please cut about half his length” not Shaved down to less than an inch!! The disaster shave isn’t even the same throughout and they didn’t even take out ear hair. short staffed or not, avoid this place!!!!! I’m praying he will look somewhat normal soon**follow up: had to spend over $350 at the vet! he developed a rash after his skin was so irritated from the sheers cutting so low

Happiest place my furry baby has been to.. way better than your regular petsmart.. we got pics from him everyday.. each day he seemed to be happier and happier. He stayed for 10 days and if it wasn't because he is a cat.. had he been human, he would've just moved out and stayed there lol

They were great. They sent pictures throughout the day. My pup also participated in a Labor Day party and he was given a hot dog and watermelon. Loved them, can't wait to go back.

Super friendly staff that provide a consistent groom for a fair price. My dog always come back happy and healthy with no unpleasant surprises. She's skittish and the staff feel very easy to leave her with and they sell nice treats and other pet items inside. If you can't pick your dog up within 2 hours of the groom ending they charge for boarding which is a nice option on work days for busy pup parents

Worst experience ever! Left my puppy here for 10 days. When i picked him up he was so drugged that he barely moved. Next day he puke all over. It took him 3 days to go back to normal. When i confronted the employees they lied.

Me, my wife, and our 2 years old daughter were passing by the shop and my daughter saw the Halloween decorations (an inflatable cat and a dog) on the lawn by the street, in front of the shop. She begged me to stop to see them closer. When we stopped she looked at the decorations and hugged the inflatable dog. A few minutes later the owner of the shop arrived (a blond woman) and started shouting on us screaming “it’s a private property!” “I’ve got you on camera! What is your daughter doing hugging my dog?” “You have no business here!” “Get off and never return! I don’t want to see your daughter here!”In the second that I saw her she acted like crazy. My daughter began crying and even I felt frightened by her attitude. When we sat into the car to leave that woman started to wave her hands and shout something. She started to take pictures of our car and immediately call somewhere. Definitely a terrible experience.P.S.: To answer your dishonest and offensive reply I have only to say - go on, show me the video. Show me how I “punched” the inflatable dog and how we were “trespassing and getting smart with you”. All I did is to show the decorations to my child. Nothing was vandalised or broken.You, on the other hand, are completely lying and disgraceful sadness of a person. You did not explain anything. You did not let me say a word and started shouting offensive things to us. You immediately acted like crazy. Stop being rude to people and if you hate children and don’t want anyone to see your “years of work” then put a big sign on the road saying “DO NOT APPROACH MY SHOP”.I feel offended and generally very sorry for you.

We have used these groomers 3xs as near our home and truly convient. My little girls 1st cut not great however not horrible. So hey convient lets take her again and they hit it. We even called to praise the excellent work. Now this 3rd visit a few days before our wedding yes my baby will have a part in our special day. An absolute butcher job. They actually advised they could fix her hilarious. Why would I allow you to make it worse. Not again I truly advise you avoid this place if you want a consistent cut and your child to come home smelling like they have been groomed.Update after owners reply...As I am unable to upload a picture to show all just how much you butchered this groom I will not mince my words.As advised on phone I did not pick her up my partner did and she is way to shy to voice her opinion on just how horrendous this cut is and yes we always tip well. If you already proved how incapable you are of following simple directions why would I allow you to butcher my child again.

I recommended A Paw Above to a couple of ladies I see walking their pups in the morning. They were concerned about the negative reviews ! So for anyone reading this my Annie was in yesterday for her third spa visit. We could not be happier !! Annie is 13.5 years old can’t hear and has a bad leg which has her slipping and sliding sometimes, however they are so gentle and patient with her that when Angelica came out to get her she scooped her up and carried her in. It wasn’t necessary but she cares for her. I missed an appointment last week because Annie had tumbled off the sea wall and I apologized on the phone when rebooking her appt. and again in person the team was more concerned about how she was feeling and happily rescheduled her ! Thank you to EVERYONE I don’t know all of your names yet but we appreciate each of you 🐾❤️🐾

When I picked up my dog, she had been shampooed & a huge bow, bigger than her head. She smelled great!! I didnt realize nothing was done till I got home. No grooming was done. no cutting, only back paws cut, hair still in her eyes,. Her paws still looked like a Clydesdale horse! (Shes only 6lbs). I was told that the owner knew how to groom Yorkies. She was doing her, but obviously she doesn't.Then to top it off, they raised their prices!!! I will never bring my baby there again & will not recommend to anyone.

I walked there in the pouring rain and got my socks wet only for them to turn me away even when I had an appointment. They acted like my appointment never existed even though I showed them the call history on my phone. It’s NOT the customer’s fault that your employees are not trained properly on how to make appointments. I will be taking my business elsewhere!!!

The most HILARIOUS grooming experience ever! My wife made an appointment on Friday and when we went 2 days later the staff stared at us like aliens from another planet and asked “who did we talk to?”. After 2 minutes of discussion we learned that they would no longer honor the appointment as “a new person scheduled it and didn’t know anything” ummm what? Absolutely understandable that there are new folks but the company makes their clients suffer as a result! Super stupid policy. Save your money and go somewhere else! These people don’t care about being honest and accommodating TO YOUR FACE. They are ABSOLUTELY cutting corners and treating your pet in a sub-par manner. Urgently recommend others to go somewhere else!!! Especially since you will waste time scheduling an appointment and then show up and have the staff “cancel” immediately in person 😂

My 5 year old son had been asking for a small dog he can love and cuddle for weeks. I filled out countless apps and waited and waited to be called for an appointment. I had written down A Paw Above’s name and address last week and after another fruitless visit to the humane society, I drove to Hollywood with my son and friend with fingers crossed. The staff was amazingly friendly, immediately showed me the available dogs for adoption and even scrolled through their phone to show me one more they had that we might like. We immediately asked to meet Butterscotch, a tiny rat terrier mix. It was love at first sight. The staff made the process so quick and simple and even put together a “diaper bag” of goodies to take home. Their dogs are well taken care of, their home is clean and happy and the staff are all knowledgeable and friendly and ready to help. We highly recommend A Paw Above and will be back for other needs in the future. Thank you so much for completing our family.

Absolutely love this place! They take such amazing care of my dog Gator. The front desk lady Emilia is the sweetest. She always remembers my dog and her special medical needs. I feel so relieved knowing that my dog is taken care of in a cage free environment with the best of care. And she always is so clean when I pick her up. Thank you guys for all you do!

My dog has been coming here since he was three months and now he’s almost one year old. This place is amazing always send pictures always take care of my dog always understand. Every time I Park my car my dog Jump out because he love this place so much and never what to go home. the staff are very loving with him they are very professional Denise the young lady upfront she’s very professional love my dog like it’s hers and the owner as well I recommend this place to everyone thank you so much for your service and loving my baby cuddlez.

Horrible place! Do not take your dog there! We took our Husky there and they couldn’t have done a worse job! We asked for the sanitary grooming package where they supposed to trim down the hair around his sanitary parts, cut his nails, bathe him, and trim down the hair in his paws. The only thing they did was bathe him!!!! Not a singles sanitary part was touched! We had to ask for the paws to be trimmed, they took him back and trimmed his paws with in a quick and apparently angry that they cut his paws! We had to put medicine in bandage the paws to heal from the cuts! If you love your pet and care about their health, I strongly recommend you don’t take them there! At least if you have a large dog, reconsider. They charged us the full price of a package that was not done! They still your money and hurt your furry babies! Will never be taking my dog back there again!

ould leave a 0The lady in the morning told me i can pick up my dog at 6:30 , I started recieving tons of phone calls from a paw above saying i have to be there by 5:00 to get my dog,or they would keep him overnight (keep in king i left my dog there many times). i rushed there and managed to make it by 5:12.“THE OWNER” was extremely rude to me even though i was holding my cool and being very gentle about the situation. I offered to pay extra and i was going to tip her $100 for the inconvenience until she started being rude and agressive torwards me. I told her i would never come back again. this isn’t how you treat a customer when you’re holding their animals. they should understand that because they “love” animals right ?and as a business owner this is not how you treat a repeating client.my dog was alone barking in a dark room when i got thereI would really not recommend leaving your dog here you are better off finding some other place.

I left a one star for two reasons: 1. We asked for a full grooming including brushing. I picked up my dog with more fur on him than when I dropped him off. Either they don’t listen or they don’t care. I brought this up as I was leaving. Didn’t want to waste anybody else’s time, so I just dropped it and left. 2. Never did anyone say there’s a daycare fee if you’re late to pick up. Maybe it’s in the small writing but if you want to run a transparent and trustworthy business, acknowledge it. It was also not brought up when I was called to pick him up. Only when I was on my way, I was told there would be a “surprise” fee!People are nice, but don’t listen to their customers, nor are transparent.

Gretchen the owner is very special .Her love for animals is very evident. new pups are not just thrown to the pack but introduced slowly . I wouldn’t bring my dogs anywhere else .She sent me photo of my one dog in the toddler pool. I didn’t even know that she liked water!
