Very Very disappointing that when I spoke to the not so friendly manager Greg today he would not give me a store credit as I attempted to return 4 pvc elbows that were never used, brand new, I purchased 5 months ago(they were able to bring up my receipt on register). $25- value. I explained I had been sick and unable to complete the project they were intended for. He didn't want to speak with me and suggested I sell them on line. Every employee at this location has been wonderful for the 25 years I have lived in HS and shopped here many times. This situation went against all my good feelings about this store.

Ace is my go-to place for parts. Never underestimate the potential of those sliding rack and drawers! Even a small Ace has items the big box stores don't carry.

This is our go to store when here! Originally from Michigan. We have found what we need here when we’ve needed it. Sometimes things don’t always work out but the customer service is great! Thank you!

Store is in a very convenient location with ample parking available. This is a small location, but seemed to have a large inventory. Most of the employees were friendly and knowledgeable, but a few could seem to care less. Overall it's a good hardware store. When I was there masks were not encouraged so keep this in mind if you are concerned.

I like the neighborly, hometown feeling of this store. For being always busy, the staff is always helpful, if I have a question or I'm looking for something specific. Store is small, but well stocked, and most of the time, I just need to walk the store to find what I need. Signs for each isle. A lot of times I find products here that the big box stores don't carry. Good store, nice staff! Thanks!

It's an ACE, so you always get great service. Certainly above & beyond what you'll find at the Big Box stores. But, if your already in the area.... I would HIGHLY recommend Rocky's ACE hardware down the street in Hobe Sound. They're definitely the best ACE around... No question about it.

If you like suckie service; If you want to feel like they dont give a hoot about their customers; If you want to be treated like a criminal for wanting to return something or merely exchange for store credit or; if you like walking funny when you leave the store YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE. If you dont like any of that, run, fast! Go to Home Depot, at least you'll get a smile....and a better price.

They do not meet up today brand expectation of Ace hardware. Terrible attitude. Trying to make me a bad guy for expecting them to be able to re-key a lock. This is the first Ace I've been into in the whole nation that doesn't rekey.

I've shopped at this store since over a decade. Unfortunately the original Franchise owner (Craig) passed away 3 years ago and the new owners refuse to honor their Lifetime Warranty on Ace branded products which are still sold and stocked in the store. The new manager (Greg) pretty much told me his "store policy" takes precedence over the Lifetime Warranty *contract* which *Ace* provided when I bought the product 4 years ago. The Ace contract clearly states that I should return it to the store where I bought it for a cheerfull exchange. No mention in the *contract* (you will find it on the package which holds the product) of a need to have the sales receipt. The previous owners never hassled me as a customer for this proof on Lifetime Warranty exchange. It was also related that the manager of the store (Greg) claimed to ACE's corporate customer service rep that the product I attempted to exchange had no ACE identifiers on it. The product is clearly marked ACE. ACE Corporate customer service rep Fonnie took my call at corporate and after calling the store in this review, offered to call the next nearest to me ACE franchise to see if the store would be willing to fulfill the terms of the ACE product warranty, and they agreed to do so. The franchisee who stands behind ACE's Lifetime Warranty is Rocky's ACE- they have stores in Stuart and Tequesta. I'm going to miss the friendly staff and convenience of the Hobe Sound ACE- but they no longer earn our business. I feel really bad for Tom, who did his level best to handle this in a way that did not involve the manager. To quote the manager (Greg) "This is a free Country and you are free to choose another store and see if they will take your b*******" (the word he used is not business). Not the most hospitable (or professional) way to handle things- but this is a true and accurate account. Go to ACE - Rocky's ACE instead- Jarred and Michael at the Stuart ACE near Cove Road were happy to make the exchange- and I was happy to see their stock is much improved over the Hobe Sound Store. I would not say one should never shop the Hobe Sound ACE - but I will say you should be prepared to have to call corporate to get any resolution- and you may need to go to another store as well- so why not just shop the other store in the first place?

I like Ace Hardware stores, there's one in every town, and they have lots of things to pick from. I lost a little tiny screw from my fifth wheel door and they had it, fixed.

Always love ace hardware . They always seem to have that hard to find hardware or specialty screws and bolts that the big box stores don't carry.
