Store is always dirty and cluttered. Dee the primary store manager is often rude to customers. And her demeanor towards employees is even worse. She has an attitude of "it's all about me" She has no skill set towards comradery, instead she takes a bully and intimidation approach towards employees. To the extent where she makes employees feel they have to choose between their children or employment. No employee at any company should ever feel they have to choose between financial stability or their children. Especially when your only offering part time hours at minimum wage to avoid having to offer any benefits. Shame on you! I hope district or corporate leaders are reading this and taking action. Listen to the complaints of employees. And I hope Hawthorne residents are reading this and spending your hard earned money at Dollar General. Family Dollar and Dee have demonstrated that its NOT a family friendly establishment which is completely unacceptable especially in our small community.

The employees are some of the nicest people I have ever met and are always so helpful. If you can't find something they will help you and if they don't carry something they will try to let you know who might have it. I highly recommend this store.

Kind of a dingy place. Dark and dirty inside. Everything is cluttered and unorganized. Expensive for a dollar store.
