It's Sunday Feb 18th 2024. Nice FIFO job on the cheese guys! Imagine if you ordered pickup cause they don't check dates they just scan and go. Also Megan who likes to check receipts is very confrontational. Not the type of person you want at your front door. "You don't have to be rude to me" when I wasn't is not the response you say to someone. She will cause a problem at the front one day it she hasn't already. I'd never come here again if I had a choice but thanks to Corporate America we don't have one! Incident happened around 10:10am Sunday Feb 18th.

The drive up pickup is horrible I picked up a Uber for grocerie pickup and waited a hour still didn't get nothing , ended up leaving to then come back and have been waiting for another hour for another Uber grocerie order . I don't have this problem at other walmarts only this one . I'm missing out on opportunities because of this excessive waiting .nobody has came out those doors for dang near 5 mins ! If you want to do drive up pickup go to another walmart:)

It’s a megastore that sells groceries, appliances and wearables. Prices here are similar to that of publix though the way the items are arranged makes them appear cheaper but they are not. Notable product is their donuts, shelves of donuts with different glaze and flavour. However, the flavours are low quality as they tasted mostly overwhelmingly sweet with hint of the actual flavour. There’s even a dedicated rack for donuts on sale so this is a good place for donuts, for sure. At checkout, they accept physical card payment and cash only which is a hassle that no digital payment like Apple Pay or pay wave is accepted. Staff are helpful but hard to find one if you need direction on where to locate certain items.

Nice Walmart for the sensory friendly hours, HOWEVER, the store was kind of messy. The other issue is that the price tags are not matching some of the products. If you don’t like a bunch of crowds and people, don’t come here very often.

Always have sales & lots of variety of fresh vegetables & shrimpPeople cashiers are available until about 2000. Then, you have to use self checkout. The lines stay pretty long, so make sure you have a little extra time. Thanks for your assistance in this matterNamastePeace Shalom

Worst Walmart I’ve ever been to Brent (an employee) was an absolutely horrible and miserable person. Caused a scene when I brought in my puppy (there were other dogs around us) and insisted I had to leave and continued to mumble under his breath. When I tried calling the store I was hung up on 3 times. I even called the store before to make sure they were animal friendly. Do better Walmart! If I could give negative stars I would.

I needed to purchase printer paper - easy. There was literally ONE live cashier and at least 8 employees trying to encourage people into self checkout! Then watching self checkout while waiting for the one live cashier - employees then requiring self checkout people to produce their receipts! Nope, I will never do self checkout! I don't work for Walmart!

On 3/4/24, I went to this store to do some shopping. After filling my cart with items, I rolled into the self checkout nearest the pharmacy at about 12:05. At some point I scanned a six pack of beer, triggering an ID check so an employee had to login and verify that I was over 21. She was distracted and on a personal call the whole time I was in the self checkout area. I completed scanning my items and headed for the exit. I was stopped by an employee who made sure the cart's contents matched my receipt, giving me an all good. I headed for my car. While waiting on a break in traffic so I could cross, I looked at my receipt and saw I had been charged $35 for the whole cart. Apparently Ms personal phone call had not reset the register correctly after approving my beer purchase. Personal calls take precedence over doing your job at this store.I knew that total was incorrect, so I went back inside the store, where the same woman who had confirmed everything was fine told me she couldn't do anything and she sent me to customer service. There I encountered an extremely rude woman who obviously has had no training in dealing with customers. She told me she didn't have time to figure out the discrepancy but if I wanted to separate the items that were paid for from those that weren't she'd "take a look"No one was the least bit concerned that I had been sent to the parking lot with half a cart of unpaid items. I didn't know what else to do so I separated the items and Ms. Sunshine grudgingly rang up the unpaid items totalling $55.73 at 12:29. She even threw in a sigh and an eye roll to emphasize her displeasure at being asked to perform her job. I headed for the exit where the door monitor (again ) stopped me and gave both receipts a cursory look.A day or so later I received a "how did we do" email from Walmart, so I responded and related my experience. Here's the response I got:"I sincerely appreciate your feedback and I am very sorry you did not receive the assistance you needed while shopping at your local Gainesville Walmart. We have shared your feedback with the team and will be taking your comments into consideration to improve the availability of assistance and deliver the experience you deserve. We hope you will visit us again in the future.Thank you for your feedback and we hope you will shop with us again in the future.Sincerely,Dustin Wisotzkey "Hey, at least I got a word salad form letter, right? No reference as to leadership having concerns that employees are taking personal calls on the clock, which clearly affects their performance, or being allowed to be openly hostile toward customers that try to NOT STEAL from their employer.Think about this the next time you hear a story about how retailers are doing all they can to stop theft at the self checkout registers. As for me "visiting them in the future" ,there's a Target right down the street.

Employees were courteous and helpful. It's a huge store and things were hard to find. Their scooters for disabled were not working. 5 on the floor were parked near the doors but did not work. Also they did not have nearly enough manned check outs. The lines were very long. NONE of the check out lines were even lit up except for self check outs.

Guy in electronics refused to ring me up after me asking 3 times for having 11 very small items instead of 10 or less.. 3 were puppy toys, a couple puppy sweaters, a few food items they weren't big things so the other cashier offered to check me out. He got mad and stormed off. On Christmas Eve there's enough to deal with and do, nobody has time for sour unnecessary attitudes. A real GRINCH for sure. I hope he has the worst Christmas and New Year ever, seems like he already is. I still got what I needed though whether he obliged or not. Thankfully the other person wasn't an A hole. My day will not be ruined I'm still trucking right along looking forward to Beautiful Holidays 💃🏽💋

Where are the cashiers when self checkout on both sides of the store have a line all the way to the back of the store. Only 2 registers open other than self checkout and they also had extremely long lines. People were leaving their carts and walking out. Come on Wal-Mart, you have to do better for your customers!

One star for management who did not schedule the associates time to pull off nonsale merchandise. Shelves clearly marked no exclusions yet at register it was not on sale and the shelf was full , so the cashier gets in trouble for giving the sale price !Really? They were open for hours more than enough time to pull the nonsale items .Why should the cashiers be in trouble? Cashiers 5 stars ,management 0

It’s Walmart. It’s horribly understaffed despite an abundance of workers ready and willing to work. You come here and probably won’t find more than 10% of the items you’re looking for. There are only 1-2 manned checkouts open at anytime and a ton of self checkouts which no one knows how to use which causes major backups where the lines go all the way to the garden section of the store. They’re always out of stuff and quite a few shelves are a mess. Avoid whenever possible. Go somewhere like Target instead.Oh and the person checking receipts took her job a bit too literally and checked each and every item on our long receipt nearly letting two tubs of ice cream melt. They might as well have performed a full body cavity search. I appreciate every worker other than her by the grocery exit.Update: More long lines no matter time of day or day. Middle of the week at 2pm or weekend at 10:30pmalso they have opened products in the store.

Ok. I'll admit right off the bat that I really dislike all Walmart stores. I used to love them years ago. Now most are dirty and unpleasant places to shop. Unfortunately, however, there are times when I have no choice. Yesterday was one of those days. So, I finished my shopping and while there were more than the usual amount of cashiers, there were still lines three to four deep. I decided to self checkout. I'm ok with that, actually, because then I bag things how I want them. But I go to leave and there is a woman checking receipts at the exit! So now I'm expected to stand in line to have someone look at my receipt! Why? She's not looking in any bags so to what avail???? She would have no idea if everything in the bags is scanned, or not. Plus, what about the customers who already stood in line to be checked out by an actual cashier? She served no purpose whatsoever except to make people stand in line. I refused!!!!! I calmly walked around the line and out the entry door. She called out after me but I just kept walking. I understand that stealing is at an all time high. But this is NOT a solution.

The parking lot is weird and the cart situation was terrible (see picture of where the carts were supposed to be). Also, there was no meat in the meat section when we went there the other day. We stood in line at customer service for 30 minutes as well. Overall, not great but at least the inside is new and fairly well organized for a Walmart.

Unfortunately I still have to shop there only because of convenience. After 7 months of shopping there at least 5 days a week they are still very unfriendly and treat customers like an inconvenience.. with the exception of Bryan and the manager or team lead Charlie. They both at least acknowledge you if you say hello

This is one Walmart that can’t handle pick up orders properly. It’s so poorly ran. I once had an employee come to my window and say “we can’t find your order.” In that case, the hour wait was for absolutely no reason. I also overheard an employee telling an Uber driver that he understands he is trying to make money but if he were him he would avoid the store at all costs because it is in fact a mess back there. If your employee doesn’t have any faith in what you’re doing, shut it down completely. I’d rather shop for my grocery then to wait 2 hours to only be told my order hasn’t even been picked yet. If I were Walmart I’d shut down pick up at this location. It is so convenient especially to those with disabilities but it is an inconvenience to people to have to wait for hours and still leave with nothing.

NEVER USE PICKUP!!I waited almost three hours for my order. The only reason it was delivered to me was because I called corporate since nobody at this Walmart knew how to contact the pickup department. Their phone wasn’t working for some reason, leaving me and others stuck in the parking lot with absolutely no communication. I’ll never shop at this branch, or Walmart in the future.

Trash. Trash absolutely everywhere. Empty shelves at every turn, and there is actual rotting food and food containers everywhere you look. Shelves have been stoked on the top only, but anything within reach has been picked clean. Pallets block every aisle, and the lines to check out are outrageous. I would avoid this place like the plague.

Very nice lady in the electronics department helped us find a Webcam despite our inability to follow basic directions. I was condescending about it too but she was still very nice. Sorry for being dumb electronics department lady, thanks for being patient with us

The cashier we just had at the Walmart in Gainesville Butler; Jada; was horrible. She didn’t greet us, even though I said hi and asked how she was. She was on her phone texting multiple people for about 20 seconds after we stepped up. Didn’t say a word to us, bagged our items without care. And then as we left she had her hand down her pants scratching. How???? Is This Allowed!?? Even for Walmart this isn’t okay. Just disgusting.

I am a regular Walmart shopper, and i have never seen a Walmart so disorganized as this one. The chips isle looked like a food fight had occurred. This must be a high traffic store to be so messy.

I ordered a few orders for delivery. I was inpatient. The first order was accurate and on time. The second order never arrived and had to be cancelled. I kept getting a message stating the delivery driver couldn't find me. I was at the local hospital. That message didn't make sense . I reordered those items and they were received the next day.

Wallmart off Waldo Road and Butler plaza are both shameful. I have written several reviews, posted pictures, talked to the home office, talked to managers. Gotten nowhere. One manager even told me they don't put money in these stores because of the minority low income area of Waldo road. Absolutely shameful remark. Never any shopping carts available empty shelves, broken product on floor, filthy parking lot. No reason that first thing in the morning there are no baskets and you wade through garbage in lot.
