This place was so nice and accommodating with me and my 17 year old fur baby yesterday. She had a seizure shortly after I dropped her off for her appointment. The wonderful ladies working at the front (Katherine was one of them I think) called me immediately, and I was close so I came right back. They helped calm my dog and me down and upgraded me to the premium service for the month at no charge so I could access the 24/7 virtual vet chat and get advice on the spot about what my next steps should be. They sat with me in the lobby chatting on my phone with the vet while I held and soothed my pup. They went above and beyond to help me out in my time of need and I’m so grateful for their kindness. I really wish I remembered both of their names! Thank you Scenthound for employing such sweet and caring people!

My dogs run in the door happy to see all the staff! I never have to brush them anymore since we have the unlimited plan. What I used to pay at a large Pet Store to get one dog groomed is the SAME price as both of my dogs to have an unlimited membership here. I love the report card on my pups that I get each visit so I know if there is any type of issue. The owners are always on site and it is just the best place. Support Small Businesses and stay local - Best People. The contribute so much to the community as well! Thank you!

My senior dog will be Sweet 16 soon and I’ve been taking her to the ScentHound since their grand opening in May 2021. I am really happy I saw their Facebook ad in April despite my apprehension about social media advertisements; and have been thoroughly impressed by their customer service and quality of care for My Girl.My dog has always had severe anxiety and separation issues; and now she has had difficulty walking for a little over 3 years. She was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and I will never forget the first time she just plopped to the ground because her hind legs just gave out. I freaked out and carried her home. Ever since I have been more weary about leaving her in the care of someone else; especially, since my girl gets overwhelmed and overexcited when she sees other animals which causes her heiny to wiggle fervently.I used to take her to another popular, franchised groomer because of the convenience of walk-ins among other things. I must have been a loyal patron of this business for over 5/6 years if not longer. Mainly, I would take her in to get her nails ground as I have always bathed and blew out her beautiful coat. I would always get lovely updates about how well my Girl behaved but they never gave me other important information; and quite frankly, I did not know to ask.From my initial call with Katherine, I have been pleasantly comfortable and relaxed. She is charming, caring, informative and a great listener. She is also the one who told me about the fur growing under dogs’ paws. I didn’t realize that the hair on the paws grew that much nor did I think that fur would cause her to slide on the tile or hardwood floors; I feel silly not knowing this. But she graciously offered services like this which have immensely improved my dog’s walking and stability. Honestly, it is reassuring to me to have communication with and get to know the proprietors. Katherine and Joseph are an amazing team. Their love and compassion for dogs is apparent. I simply adore them! They hear my concerns and are very accommodating to achieve optimal, stress-free experience for my sweetheart.Today, I got to meet one of her groomers, Serena, and I am over the moon with the results. My dog is happy and smells amazing. On top of that, I get a detailed email report about her overall health which helps me when I talk to her vet. My dog walks better after each visit. I can’t express enough how pleased I am with this company. Thank you for reading this awfully lengthy review. And thank you ScentHound for helping me navigate this stage in her life.

This is a great place to get your dog groomed. Super friendly staff and they really take their time to make your pup look and feel amazing! This was our first time coming here but will not be the last.Adding on to my original review, went to this location again (2nd time) and another great job done. I love the way my pup looks and she’s so clean and happy. Totally recommend Scenthound in Haile!Just used this location again and my original review(s) are still true!

Our dog loves her Spa Day at Scenthound in Gainesville every month and we love that she loves being there. They great her by name and she wags her way in the door. When I pick her up, she likes to show me her new neck kerchief. Scenthound frees up my time. I do not have to spend my time grooming and bathing her at home in our bathroom which always makes a big mess to clean up. I do not have the expense of dog shampoos and grooming items or using limited space to store them. But I do have a clean and happy dog to greet all our guests all year long.

Great experience, patient with my dog who can be nervous and anxious around strangers. She can be a l little feisty when you touch her butt lolAlso, I thought she would be turned away because of her breed. Awesome customer service. She left in a happy mood looking wonderful. I have 2 Boston puppies, the male had suddenly become fearful of vets & groomers, even places where he had his nails trimmed before. I had even tried a mobile groomer with no luck. My husband & I use readers, we didn’t trust ourselves to do it. I went to Scenthound, they were FANTASTIC & he got his nails trimmed!!! It was unbelievable! I highly recommend them!

First things first you get a one star because it won’t let me do zero stars when I booked the appointment yall knew exactly what we wanted when we came in then we are told you’re not gonna give the lion cut on our Aussie as Requested because yall don’t feel like that’s a good idea and it’s not in our dogs best interest ok first of all we are the paying customer and if you knew this wasn’t going to happen you should have been upfront about it when the appointment was made!!!! So you give a bath blow dry and brush out instead on both Aussie and the healer you just bath and trim all three of their nails how the hell can you call yourself a groomer if you refuse to cut their hair!!!!! Never have to worry about getting our business ever again!!!! And for the record don’t tell me what’s best for our dogs as far as wanting to get their hair cut you obviously lack in that expertise!!!!!!!

They are quick and efficient at baths and do some basic hygiene. I don't think they own towels though, so unless you pay for blow drying assume your dogs will come back damp/wet.One of my dogs I kind of get it, she is normally a two towel dog. The other I could use the damp 2nd towel from the first dog and still get her dry.

My dog, Bane, is difficult to handle. So difficult, in fact, that he won't even allow *us* to trim his nails, clean his ears, or brush his teeth. However, the staff at Scenthound are AMAZING! The two times we've taken him, they have taken their time to get introduced to him slowly, and the first time THEY GOT IT ALL DONE! I was blown away when, not even 30 minutes after I'd left him there, they were calling and telling me he was done! I was so anxious the first time we took him that I didn't want to leave, so I sat in the parking lot and was just contemplating going home (we live less than 3 miles from the salon) when they told me he was done! The second visit was on a busier day, so they weren't able to trim his front nails, but I get it and totally respect that they did not force him when they realized that he was too stressed. When we take him to his vet to trim his nails, there were several occasions when the vet told us he was turning blue because he was so terrified and fighting so hard, but Scenthound is not about forcing, and I love it so much! Thank you so much for being patient with my baby Bane, and doing more than anyone has ever done for him before! I look forward to a great relationship moving forward!

UPDATE: I decided to give Scenthound another try as my boy now needs a weekly bath as he plays super hard with his aussie shep best friend at the dog park and they get filthy. The Owner read my review and, along with the manager, apologized for the misunderstanding and made everything right. He came in with some matting and they did an amazing job of brushing him out, washing, and de matting. The newest picture is with zero cutting, this is only from a really good brushing, removing some matting, wash, and blowout. He has never been floofier. Mr Benedict has a full groom scheduled for the upcoming week.Based on my recent experience I am updating my 3 star to a 5 star review.Previous experience Sept 2023:Pros: The sweet girls that work there really are incredibly nice and obviously care about the dogs. They were easy to work with when setting an appointment and the app made everything very easy. They made my dog feel very safe and loved. This was his first hair cut and I wanted to make sure he was not scared. One girl even saved a hair clipping for “puppy’s first haircut” which is adorable.Cons: I booked an appointment over the phone and was told different details of the membership package that ended up not being true. I did feel a bit swindled as they would not honor what I was told and in addition to that they told me that all prices for membership increased today. (I know it was not the fault of the girls. They said they talked to a manager). It is what it is, so I passed on the membership.I specifically said that I wanted him to have the same look, just trimmed up a bit, about 1/2 inch off all over. I specifically said that I did not want him looking like a shaved down poodle. I was already scared for him to be groomed the first time and this is exactly what I was scared of. This was a gut punch and I am so upset that this was the result. It is not a bad cut if this is what is requested, whoever did it did this cut well, but it is not what I asked for. I still paid and tipped and went on my way.So, this was a mixed visit for me. I had such high hopes. Three stars as it did not turn out the way I was hoping, but they were very nice and cared about my pup.

Scenthound has been a huge help with my pups! Unfortunately, one of my girls is especially terrified and difficult for me to bathe so having them here to help has been amazing, they always have advice and tips for us to try to get the girls better about baths which I appreciate.They've caught an ear infection for me when my lab showed no symptoms at home so we were able to get her looked at before it got bad.The 24/7 vet service has helped me with my girls and put my mind at ease a few times now.Everyone here is just super friendly and helpful and I couldn't recommend them enough! The membership is seriously worth it!

I took my dog (yorkie poodle mix) here after seeing an ad on Facebook for a special they were running. They did such a great job on him that I signed him up for their membership program. He’s gone twice now and every time I pick him up he looks so good and smells even better! Everyone is so nice and takes great care of him while he’s there. His grooms typically take about a hour. The last time he was there they called me to let me know that he needed his glands expressed, no other groomer I’ve taken him to has done that before. I love that scenthound combines wellness into their grooming practices! I will not take my Maximillion anywhere else!

I took my dog here for about a year and then one day I asked for a flea treat at time they didn't normally do them (I did not know this at the time) and who I believe was the local owner seemed to get mad and called me 45 minutes later tell me my dog hair was to bad to detangle even tho I had a previsit consultation the day before and was told it was fine in the end they shaved my dog bald the week i had to take him to below freezing temperatures I canceled my account the next day and will not be going backAnd then of course they come on here and twist words to sound like they did nothing wrong if your looking for a good and honest dog groomer I would look elsewhere this woman only wants to be right and cares little for her customers. her concerns as a business and caregiver to our furry baby's is money end of story. also just to add my pet was not happy and flea free his skin was scratch from the clippers they use and he still had fleas I had to reflea bath him myself to get ride of them. but she made sure to charge full price for detangle hair she they cut off as well so as I said they do not care for your dogs or you and will take any opportunity to try to just make themselves look good very disrespectful

From the time we entered to the time we left, i felt good about the staff and their care of my dog. They were efficient and texted me right away when he was done. They do not leave ur dog all day in a crate, they take him back at the designated appt time. For his first visit they took alot of time just getting to know him. I love their report card too. Im so excited to try out the monthly subscription to keep him coming back. They did exactly as requested (i had a few requests) and he looked so sweet and amazing when he was done. He also appeared happy!

I was looking for a new groomer as I was not happy with how my Golden doodle was groomed at the prior business that I took her to. I settled on Scenthound, downloaded their app and set up and appointment. Drop off was great, staff was super friendly and we talked about how I wanted her cut. When I picked her up, she didn't look too bad. After getting home I noticed that she had a knot behind one of her ears still, her body and legs are not one length and the specific requests for her head/face area were not done. There are a few places under her chin that after they were able to relax from the brushing, appear to be the same length as when she was dropped off. The top of her head is also not all one length. I'd suggest choosing a different location for grooming as it's not cheap and not very well done.
