The employee behind the cash register was beyond efficient and outgoing. She not only made sure that I had everything as I checked out but she also volunteered that if I bought 3 of the one certain item that I had in my cart that I would receive a significant discount (it was an actual 33% discount).Along with that I must say that this was one of the most efficient, clean, and well run Family Dollar stores that I have ever seen.

Today at 11:15 when I was being checked out, the manager wasLoudly bawling out the cashier for something in front of all the customers and delivery people in the store! The cashier tried to explain twice but the manager just kept it up. It was so unprofessional! She obviously shouldn't be a manager since she doesn't know how to act in public. The cashier kept her cool. I commend the cashier.

Family dollar is a convenient place to get some things at a good price. There are no more Dollar stores. Everything costs more than dollar now candy, water, chips, gum, etc.🙄🙃😃

I was appalled! This store has a gangster thug running the checkout lane. This thug had his underpants hanging out for everyone to see! Gross! Also, he was playing gangster rap music with vulgar lyrics! The store is a total mess. Get it together! Until then, I won’t be back. I will be taking my business to Dollar General until this shop gets its act together, and shows class to the customers. Horrible!

Will NOT be going back. They just lost a 50-60$ a week customer. Been going there for a couple years now. Am leaving over staff not letting me return a lousy 8$ DVD that comes up "invalid disc--cannot play back." -on 4 different DVD players. I.T. guy at work says they are "pirated/copied DVD' s." Crooked, & crooks. No wonder they have multiple stores closing down. See ya....T.

They're remodeling. It was a mess but the manager still put on some speed walking and found exactly what I wanted. It's not a common item but she not only knew they had it she knew where it w. But, I bought a little eyeglasses cleaning kit. Microfiber supposedly & a purse size atomizer of really "special " lens cleaner liquid. Ten days later I'm getting ready to complain to my eye dr. My lens are always grimy. WHY?? Because FD ripped me off. The fiber was just a Kleenex and the fluid was plain old water. I found my own cloth and filled the bottle with alcohol. Plain old alcohol. So FD gets a 5 but ripping me off for $3.99 drops them to 2. Sorry but even great service doesn't mean they get to RIP off customers. Not coming back. J. Spite of good location for me! That's theft.

Arrived at around 3:30 pm this past Sunday afternoon, my 2 toddlers in tow. Greeted by a heaping trashbag laying nearly in front of the door. Just to the left of that ripped, stinky display was an overflowing trashcan. Lots of bugs.Rushed kids past to get a shopping cart. No carts. Not one. Not even in the parking lot. Great. 2 toddlers, no cart. Maybe inside? Nope. None there either. As we were shopping, I noticed several (at least 4) carts on the sales floor full of store stock.I quickly grab my items and head to check out. The cashier isn't greeting anyone. She's on a personal call. Just chatting away as she ignores customers and doesn't make eye contact. I actually had to grab my own receipt out of the printer myself as she began ringing the next customer. She was very rude. Purposely so, it seemed.While it was particularly bad Sunday, the store itself is generally nice. The staff? Usually rude and dismissive overall though. A bunch of young girls and a manager who seems to want to be their buddy. Lots of loud laughing (even at customers sometimes). Weird vibe for a family store.

I was about 20 mins into shopping already when a cashier confronted me and told me I had to leave my backpack at the register. I'm pretty sure that's not a corporate policy (and if so, there was no sign anywhere saying that). The cashier took off and I guess she thought I was following her because she starts YELLING for me like I'm stealing ("Ma'am! MA'AM! MAAA'AAAM!!! I NEED YOUR BACKPACK!!!"). It was embarrassing to say the least.To be clear, they need a sign so I'll know not to shop there. I'm never going to surrender my personal belongings in order to shop. Plus, if my bag or contents go missing, who's liable? The cashier? The store? This is a terrible way to handle shrinkage. The thieves just won't wear backpacks.

Update: New manager Heather I believe, is fantastic! The store is now staffed with nice helpful workers. What a change. Thank you.Rude management, worst check out in Gainesville!!! Store is dirty. Manager and Asst both need to be replaced.

I ask if I could use their restroom after spending over 40.00 and was told it was out of order and I was fixing to walk out and one of the employees told another I'm going to go use the restroom OK it has been two weeks I went back and again was told out of order I ask the employee what are you guys doin doing for a restroom and she told me we use next door. She claims they have been without one for 2 months. That is against the law. Denise who is an employee has a real bad nasty negative attude toward customers and don't need to be working there. I'm fixing to call code enforcement on them

Veterans never go into this place.I took my registered service dog with me , spent almost $40 And the cashier has the nerve to to say your dog stinks and needs a bath I have been to this store over the past years , between the lie about the restroom being out of order or the key got locked inside ,. I WANT BE BACK !!!!¡!!!

Most of the shopping carts at this store are being used by staff stocking merchandise. It's usually a run in and out store. Due to the lack of available shopping carts I only get what my arms can grab. Outside where the shopping carts go there's always big pile of trash bags.

Everything ain't no dollar. I've been lied 2. What's the point in having "dollar" in ur store names if everything ain't a dollar? Might as well call the place,Dollars Store or Family Dollars or Dollars General lmao.But fr tho. This a good cheap store. Kudos.
