This is the worst store in Gainesville. First off the employees are always rude and very unprofessional, store always a mess roll trainers always full of stock while employees are just standing around doing nothing. Managers always outside smoking on their phones. Shelves disorganized, nothing is ever in the correct place pricing is a joke. The front of the store is always full of trash garbage can is over flowing all the time, when you walk in your hit with a bunch of random things all over the floor.. This store needs to be closed n put back together n then all new employees in my opinion..

Phone never works. Always cash only because “their card reader isn’t working”. Have heard employees talking about how they shove the carts of unloaded products into the aisles with no cameras and just leave them there. Have shown up 30-45 minutes prior to closing time and they were already closed. Another time heard an employee bragging about how they got out early at 9:30pm when they shouldn’t have been closed until 10:00pm. All around terrible experience every time which sucks because it is the closest store to where I live and now I just walk the extra half mile to a different store.

I live close to the store so that's a plus, but seem like they are always short of staff, aisles r blocked at times, the register is broke so we have to use the self checkout which is cool at times if that's not working, i see different cashiers all the time so that lets me know that it's something goin on for the to keep hiring different ppl and they r not staying for long, I jus hope they get it together soon or I see that dollar general not staying open for long, oh and the carts r sometimes nowhere to be found

Apparently. The manager had somewhere to be so at 10 so at 9:30 they were closed. So, we had to go to Publix. Prior to this they kept closing at 9:00 "per corporate" Some of them are rude too. Why have hrs online if the store follows a different schedule.

This store is dirty, it’s parking lot is disgusting, the employees are stealing from the store always full of people playing around with the employees, isles are so congested merchandise all over the floors, -0 for stars

Will be a great store but is in a state of chaos. Resetting takes time and employees. Will be shopping there more often. Will rerate then.Up date today. Went into this location with shopping list; Dawn dish, sausage for Gumbo,frozen Okra or Spinach,2 loaf of bread, dry cat food, Tortillas for Tacos, bottle of Ibuprofen,2 rolls of paper Towels, budget for 40.00 dollars.First thing was Manager and cashier sitting out front smoking.Secondly found carts full of stock not put up. Aisles completely blocked can not navigate the store. Empty shelves busted and dented. This created a trip and fall hazard and a cut hazard to the customer ( Me ). Three employees not working includes the New Manager. No milk in the gallon jug. 4 cooler doors completely empty on a Friday @ 3:00. Store still does not have a phone. District Management does not exist. What do you all need to happen to fix this? The roof fall on your head? If you close this store it would hurt to neighborhood but you would save a life and a lawsuit. I'm going to call the State Fire Marshall's Office to get you all to comply! Fix this store, your stores money is involved.

I've been here maybe 7 times and Ive always found the products I need are in stock. I can tell the people who work here are amazing because most other dollar generals have empty shelves, missing products, or lazy employees. Not here though. Usually whenever I walk in or while I'm shopping I'm greeted or asked if I need assistance finding something. The employees here are absolutely amazing so I prefer going to here and paying a little more than walmart prices.

I'd sure like to know why the employees are locking the doors at 8:30pm when it clearly shows they are open until 10pm. Is this because the times have changed or is it because they don't want to work. Pretty unprofessional if you ask me...😡

The cashier was very nice and got me taken care of in a fast manner. I found everything I needed fast with the help of the signs on the isles. Stock could of been better because there was a bunch of empty racks. I assume they were just waiting for a shipment.

It wasn't too crowded, and all the shelves were stacked neatly and well organized. The floors were relatively clean. I was able to get everything I needed in about five minutes. The prices are cheap - being a dollar. The staff member that checked me out wasnt very social, but it didnt matter much to me personally. Good place to stop for small quick items.

While I love the store itself, the amount of items available at amazing prices, the employees have caused me to drive farther away just so I don't get treated so disrespectful. I have a handicap tag and a well documented severe back injury. I kindly asked the man at the register if he could help carry my bags because there were no carts and my back was about to give out. There was another person at the other register, so he wasn't working alone. He loudly scoffed and said, "NO." I explained about my back but he just ignored me. I had to make two trips to get my things and was unable to get out of bed the whole next day. Avoid these employees at all costs! I have NEVER been treated the way they treat their customers at Dollar General.

It's not a bad place to go to the one I visited was in Waldo Florida. They have good prices on most everything they have they're great for a single person or a very small family. And they cover just about a little bit of everything. Everything from toys at most stages books laundry supplies food dry goods and they now are doing a refrigerated section they got a little bit of fresh fruit and vegetables. They have just a little bit of everything. Most of the time everybody's friendly. And if you can't find what you're looking for it that one goes one down the road in Hampton. You see if one doesn't have something the other one will

The store was great before the new manager came, but now it's a mess. Aisles are constantly blocked with huge racks of items not put up on the shelves. She's stated it isn't her job to stock shelves. Now they're remodeling, and I'll be interested to see how she handles that. I miss Linda, the previous manager, who has moved on to a larger new store.

This store is horribly managed. Just got in a confrontation with someone who said they were the manager but not wearing a mask. The shelves don’t get stocked because he’s to busy talking on his cellphone. Then he called the cops on me after I pointed all this out. I have it all on video and will be contacting corporate. I better not see him in there again.

The store is usually disorganized. I've had two interactions with the manager. I find him to be rude and lazy. Today I asked him where the $1 aisle was and he ignored me. His employee behind me heard and answered. I am a big guy and not quiet at all. I use to manage a Dollar General and he needs to do better. Move the rolltainers out of the aisles,, staff your registers, and be friendly. I don't like rude people and he's lucky I need to keep my job otherwise he would have gotten his back dirty. Oh and the lines are always too long.

Dollar General is a good place to go for certain household items like cleaning supplies, paper products for bathrooms and kitchen, snack foods, and even clothing and beauty supplies. However, I find some of the employees (one in particular) to be very rude and unpleasant. The place doesn't appear to get cleaned regularly and I have even seen roaches on the shelf were the food is kept.

Great place to buy a variety of products at a cheap price. Thee stores are well organized and you can easily browse through the store and find what you want. You don't get everything for a dollar here but there are pretty good deals you don't want to miss.

This was the nicest Dollar General I have ever seen. Everyone working there were extremely nice and with a SMILE. Which you don't usually see. Definitely will be back it's my new favorite store

Very long lines a lot of times which can rack your brain when you in a rush. Small. It's been flooding inside the building during heavy rain periods like 5 times since I been living in the area it's been closed on those days. Need improvements inside.. but who doesn't like the dollar store. Better prices on some things.

If I could put 0 stars I would. No one in this location is wearing a mask ever. They have signs posted all over the store, but all the employee and customers waking in are not held to that standard.If you are choosing to not wear mask, then make it clear that is what this location allows so that we can make the decision to never shop at this location again.Shame on the managers and staff for not doing their part during this pandemic.

Good and reliable people who are very good with customers and know where all the items are and know where they are in the store that is packed with any and every thing we need as customers I would like to thank these people who run this store they should all get raises for the excellent job they are doing I recommend this store for a experience I will never for get and I will be patronizing this store again

This is just a regular old dollar store. It was a huge life saver for me when I first moved to Gainesville since I was still trying to figure out where all of my favorite shops were. Like any dollar store that's not Dollar Tree, not everything's a dollar, but there are some products here that are cheaper than they are at Walmart, like spray-on deodorant. The cashiers are friendly enough, and everything is in order for the most part. The only issue I had once was that a worker told me to go and leave my bag up front before I finished shopping even though I'd never been asked to do so before, and nobody else was told to leave their bags up front. It was a little weird, and I won't lie, I was a little annoyed. I personally do NOT like to leave personal belongings with strangers at a store. In any case, I only left my bag up front for a minute or so before retrieving it and going about my shopping again. Other than this one incident, my shopping there has always been a pleasure, and I would recommend it to any persons on a budget.

My Mother and I wanted to do a quick stop to get some savings while going through Gainesville however I will not be coming back to this store, it's way too full to the point where you can barely walk through the aisles. A WARNING TO COUPONERS DON'T EVEN TRY COUPONING AT THIS STORE. The Manager barely wants to help and when he does do angrily like it's the customers fault, and the guy working the register with the manager at the time was absolutley rude, Mocking us out loud for making sure everything went through ok and for wanting to use the Dollar General App. He was doing all of this right beside the Manager who at no point said anything to the cashier. Also dont bother the employees with questions because you'll be treated like a troublemaker.

I really like going to the Dollar General Store to get my breakfast and lunch items and household items that I use all the time for cleaning. The prices are GREAT and I get in and out really quick. Thanks for making my visit a nice one.

Standard Dollar general. Not the cleanest, well put together store. Crowd there was little on the ghetto side, but it is a Dollar General, and it isn't the stores fault they are not in a great area. Lock your car doors and expect it, or pass this one and go to the one out on Archer Rd past 75.

This location ia a hit or miss at times today was a good day more than 2 cashiers and the store was kinda organized - you could walk down the isles without incident and the cashier was very friendly - she was just coming in and very iEnergetic and helpful she always is wjen i come in.
