Not sure if most people know but over the holidays the primary vet here sold her practice. The new vet is super amazing and from Dothan. This last week my dog was not eating for two days and very lethargic I was super worried. She xrayed him, blood work and a physical. He is 11 years old and use to be so active, he went thru a house fire in July and has been super slow moving since. She gave me some arthritis pills to try. OMG what a difference after just one night. He has pep in his step and I can see in his eyes and face how he is super happy again. I have not seen this behavior for this long since before the fire.Highly recommend this vet to everyone, but I think many of you have already discovered her as the wait time is now weeks.

Every staff member up here is phenomenal! We bring our basset hound puppy up here for vet and grooming services and we get excellent service every time! They really treat your pet like they are one of their own. Our puppy had her first ever grooming appointment with Wendy and she did a phenomenal job. Her coat was soft and shiny, her nails perfectly trimmed, and when I picked her up she had on a cute patriotic bandana. It’s the little touches that speak volumes! Dr. Blumer and Dr. Kempa are doing a fantastic job and so are all of the vet techs. We are loyal customers of best friends pet doctor and we highly recommend their services!

This location is on the old 331 S..just South of the Freeport middle school.. in the old barber shop building.The Doc. And Her Staff were very Pleasant and they were very attentive to what I had to say about my family member. My canine Murphy. Highly recommended , that is if they are still taking you patients I know they got him in on an emergency new patient status. If I recall it was the same day I called they fit him in when I let them know what the extremities of his condition were.

What a wonderful place! I took both of my fur babies here and Dr. Kempa and the rest of the staff were so good to them! They go above and beyond giving them both love and affection while also treating them. I was so happy with my experience here and highly recommend!

The staff is absolutely the best. They were so good with my dog Yeti when I dropped him off to get his teeth cleaned. It always makes me feel good knowing he is in good hands.

Doctor Kempa and her staff are amazing! I'm new to the area and needed to get my old dog in for his annuals. Wanted to get his blood tested since he's old, and they ran the test while I waited! The heartworm test too. Who does that?! This place is awesome. We even xrayed a bump to be sure it was just a fatty lump. All that and a 6 pac o' 💖worm pills was under $300. That's super reasonable, IMO. I'm so glad I found you.

This vet was amazing...very caring and empathetic. I had to bring my cat in last min to be put to sleep. They were able to accommodate me and made the process as easy as it could be! Thank you for being so helpful and kind in my moment of grief!!!

The atmosphere is welcoming as is the staff. Sarah is a great tech, she's always helped with our pet problems and actually listened. I don't feel price gouged or ripped off when I pay. They stay booked though and I think another team member or 2 would help with appointment times not being so far out. Thanks for being a great vet office for us!

Our first visit with Best Friends Pet Doctor went great. We are new to the area, and my cats have only ever been to one vet before. Dr. Kempa was awesome. She made everything easy to understand and treated my cats like they were her own. The vet techs were skilled at handling each cat to make the process as painless as possible. I appreciate a facility that focuses on taking care of animals instead of taking money from their owners!

Dr. Wendy has taken care of 3 of my last dogs that lived long lives of 15 and 14 years with the compassionate care from her and her staff. I recently adopted another dog from Alaqua and feel she will get great care from Ms Wendy.

Me and grama with two young gdaughters and both of their puppies stuck in a closet size exam room for most of an hour before we walked out. At one point, we opened the sliding door to get fresh air and it was prompltly closed by an attendant that gave us no hope of attention. When we left, there was no one to say good bye to.

Very nice Dr and staff. They did fine by my pets, at reasonable cost. Perhaps overwhelmed... I called from parking lot @ 3:02 to see if I could pick up my pets, was on hold till 3:15, they said yes, they're ready, so I walked in to find the front desk empty, waited another 15 min alone at front desk before we were checked out. Nevertheless, I will bring my furkids back here when they need vet care again.

Dr. Kempa did a wonderful job with our two cats. She recommended that they go on a diet and gave me everything I needed to order their special food. They also recommended a great heart worm/flea preventive and made sure our cats’ weights were accurate so I could order the correct dosage for each of our girls. Dr. Kempa is also a miracle worker when it comes to giving vaccinations to cats. I am so thankful for the caring and helpful staff members at BFPD who are always thorough, kind, and pleasant to work with. We will definitely be back for our girls’ next visit!

Misdiagnosed my cat. He suffered for 6 more weeks before dying. When I finally took him to a different vet they found the tumor right away unfortunately my baby was already on deaths door. Death was inevitable given his condition, but because of his misdiagnosis he suffered a lot his last few weeks. I've heard a lot of similar stories around Freeport about this clinic.

I have been coming to Best Friends for a couple of years now. I have 3 dogs and every time I need to bring one in, me and my dog are treated with the utmost respect. I have no problem with the scheduling of appointments. One of my dogs is quite the handful and they have great patience with him. They truly care for my pet's wellbeing.

Love these guys! They treat my Boca with love and respect! I am always informed of everything they are doing in detail and all my fears are set to rest! Our beloved cat Mimi was not feeling good we took her to Dr Kemp and she determined that she had an upset stomach we took her back a couple of times over the course of a month at the end she even stayed 4 days while we were on a trip Mimi never got better she died of,an upper respiratory infection. Two weeks later we took our dog Stu in, again she determined that he also had an upset stomach and sent us home with medicing for it, Stu passed 4 days later from a massive tumer on his liver that had ruptured he suffered greatly from her misdiagnosis. We have found another doctor. Not every thing is an upset stomach. Please,please,please get your loved one quality help.They deserve better.
