The people here are attentive and eager to help. The prices are a bit steep, but you pay for the convenience. The selection is fair and surprisingly diverse. I often like hitting up these small town hardware stores because they can be a treasure trove for odd things but this one is fairly modern. I recommend this for convenience and service, but if you're a treasure hunter... look elsewhere.

Great experience, friendly and helpful staff. You will spend a little more at Lowes or home depot but you will find the customer service is dismal at best , shop local and if I have to spend a couple of extra bucks to get a great experience I will.

Not a bad store, but if you need a number of pipe fittings, or wall boxes for electrical work, go elsewhere. If you need 10, they have 2. I am a construction professional, but the one older man always wants to throw in his two cents. May be his idea of being helpful, I don't know. Just comes off as insulting.

This place price gouges on everything, so spend your money elsewhere and save 20% or more. They also send out coupons for $5 off every now and then, and they won't honor them when they should. They claim the products are on sale when they are at the normal price on the self. Normal price being 20% or more higher than most other places.

Over Priced, some of the stuff are know it all jerks, would've bought a $8000 Bad Boy mower from them but they wanted to add extra cost at the end of it all, went to Rural King better price nicer salesmen no hidden fees!!!And never anyone there to service the equipment you buy from them, owner and his wife treats customs and their staff like garbage!!!

Dont waste your time. This place is convenient if you live in FW, and the smart-alec yankee owner knows this, so he price gouges the local folks. The staff is mostly very nice and helpful, but the owners attitude has definitely rubbed off on some. It's a shame that country folk in this area have to deal with this kind of thing. Shop the Napa in town, or make the 15 min drive to the High Springs Ace or Tractor Supply and save yourself 10-20%.

I called before going to make sure they had plenty of the 80lb concrete I needed & was told they had plenty plenty. I could have went the same distance to lowes & paid 4$ a bag less but chose to support the local ace hardware (even tho they take advantage of the locals with severely overpriced merchandise). I got there they only had 2 bags of 80s (i needed 8). I told them I called first & I feel like they should give me 2 40lb bags for the price of the 80lb because they had lied to me just to get me there. (The girl on the phone told me she went to look & had plenty plenty) They instead told me I'd have to pay full price so now the 6$(at lowes) 80lb bag will cost me 14$ a bag if I bought 2 40 pounders! I'm a small business owner myself & I pay for my mistakes when I make them. I feel they should have done the same! My business has spent close to $35,000 at ace hardware already this year however I will not spend another penny at ft white ace hardware even if it means driving to Lake city or alachua or branford ace hardware (which has cheaper prices than ft white). As far as I'm concerned this store doesn't exist anymore! I certainly hope this is a learning experience for them. They lost a valuable customer over approximately $30.

I was blown away by the selection of products they have here. The services they provide and their customer service is the way it should be. "local" feel and I've always felt like a valuable customer when going in. I've also found stuff here that I could not get at the box stores, especially during the recent freezes. It helps that they also service zero turns and other equipment.

William was a real champ as he had to fill my onboard propane tank that is located under my RV! He did it with a smile though! The bummer is the propane is way overpriced at $6.00 a gallon! Highway robbery at its finest! You can find it a lot cheaper in the feed store!

To be fully honest, it sucked. Had me sitting around after I asked 3 separate employees. If they had cart keys. Each said I don't know. So I waited. Finally the next employee, simply turned to the guy at register next to the other employees and asked. He turned his head and said no. So why didn't he say so, to begin with ? How rude to have me waiting like that.

It's a nice little country store with a convenient layout that helped me find my couple items in short order. The cashiers were friendly, polite and helpful. Would be a complete 5 star review. However the owner/manager was very rude, disrespectful in my humble opinion a little much for a 65 year old lady to deal with in a one to one exchange with no one else around.

Nice little hometown hardware store.Good place to go locally so you don't have to go to lake City or one of the other things surrounding towns.Staff is very helpful.Plenty of parking places to park on both sides of the building.

Ridiculously rude & completely unhelpful. I've never been to a business that was so less interested in helping the customer whatsoever in my life! Ask a question- get 1 word answer. Ask for help- get ignored (3 times). They didn't want to go to another department within the same building so they lied & told me they didn't have what i needed. I know this because i went back SAME DAY just hours apart to ask again and someone actually helped and provided me with what i needed. I guess it depends on who you get to help you. Wow I've NEVER gotten remotely acceptable service from the people that work here they have a terrible employee turnover so i guess that says a lot itself though. When you're stuck in the middle of nowhere USA you deal with what you got.

Why are the girls that work there so rude? I needed to have some papers faxed and the girls act like I was bothering them by being in the store. It was a $1.50 per page to fax, that's outrageous. When my husband would ask a question they would answer short and rude. The guy that is usually at the counter is very talkative and nice. Maybe these girls were just having a bad day. The store has a little bit of everything for alot of money but the popcorn is free. We frequent there a couple times a month being as there's not much else in Fort White, especially hardware. They have bullets, knives and Yetti gear as well. I'll continue to shop there, mostly because it's close. Maybe the girl with reddish hair will be in a better mood next time.

They always have the peanut butter but no jelly. Hard to make a sandwich when you don't have all the pieces. I guess what I am trying to say is don't get your hopes up that they will have what you need but you won't know till you try.

Workers are friendly and Helpful, They are always happy and a pleasure to deal with But the Owner/Manager is not, He is very Rude and NOT Friendly. I thought Ace was suppose to be the Helpful Hardware Place, Someone Needs to Let the Owner know This. Remember you are in a customer service position, If you can't provide the minimum common courtesy's then you need to find another job! Not sure if he was just having a bad day, but reading more of the comments it seems that this is a common occurrence. I understand some people don't follow the COVID Mask Guidance as the Owner wasn't wearing a mask and dealing directly with the customers. But I would suggest he needs to wear a mask to cover his Stinky Breath and Stinky Attitude

This Ace has recently been remodeled and under new ownership. They have many more products on the shelves than they did in the past. They have friendly knowledgeable staff. I didn't use to like to shop here but since the new people/more inventory are here, I've become a regular customer again. The store is bright and clean and easy to find what you are looking for.
