An older lady with grey hair working at the front gave my husband and I the worst customer service we have ever had. As soon as we walked in she asked what we were looking for. My husband said foldable bikes, to which she replied with a really condescending tone "why would you even want foldable bikes?" She then tried to allude that mountain bikes were better and that they can go a longer distance. I can understand that this could be her preferance, but we are not exactly in a mountain area here in northwest Florida and we were just wanting some bikes for leasure family fun that we could pack up easily into our vehicles. Her attitude through us so off we just said ok we will keep looking around and left. We didnt even want to look around for anything else.-- In response to the reply. Yes I undertsand that the store does not have these types of bikes in stock. This is not what upset me though, it is how the cashier/front lady had treated my husband and myself.

Don't shop here unless you want to spend $200. That's the minimum. If I need a gift for the men in my life I can always find it here. My husband is usually able to find boat parts here when he can't other places. The rewards program is legit.

Went to get buy one get one offer in store when it showed 4 in stock. They said they had none and to put in order online and price would be honored. The next day after order submitted it was cancelled by store. So much for honoring their sales.

Update:Manager of the store contacted me and apologized for the “misunderstanding”.I went back several times since the incident and I could not be happier with the customer service I received from every associate in the store. Selection is great and staff is very friendly and helpful. I am changing my feedback from 1 star to 5 stars.I went to the store to buy a cooler. I was in the area where they have their coolers and female associate approached me, greeted me and politely asked me to take off my laptop backpack and leave it by the door. I asked her if she was serious and she said “yes”. So I left the store. I understand, that it’s their store and they can make their own rules and policies but I am the customer and my purchases are paying their salaries. If you are worried about thieves, why would you think that it’s a good idea for me to leave my backpack with a laptop in it by the doors so someone can steal it. I was the only customer in the store. If she was so worried about me stealing, she could stay by me and watch me. West Marine, you are not the only store in town who sells Yeti coolers and boat stuff. You lost a sale today and possibly a customer. I am a boat owner and have been purchasing stuff from this store for years.

Extremely helpful. I called to find out if a product was available before I drove over. Clerk said their inventory showed two in stock, but the associate went further and took the time to look on the shelf. Turns out their inventory was incorrect and they did not have any. I appreciate her going that extra mile because it saved me an hour drive-- Love people who actually do their job... thank you so much!!!

Love West Marine, really do. Supply chain problems have hit everyone and WM is no exception, but the people are always helpful and the quality is always good. Lower prices would get the rating up to 5 stars, but it shouldn't be a surprise you pay "marine prices" at West Marine.Quick update, West Marine is still awesome!

This particular location has one employee that is phenomenal. They were knowledgeable and extremely helpful. But when this person isn't working, good luck getting any help. I just walked out of the store because the staff wanted to talk more about their personal lives than assist a customer who is willing to spend money in their store. Next time I'll save my gas and go to the Destin location.

My one star review is in no way directed towards the employees at this establishment. It is due to the fact that this cheap ass company only employees to employees to work the store at a time. The employees are very knowledgeable and personable. They're just so busy it's hard to get one to help you because they're overloaded because I don't have enough help.

Very helpful staff. Had a return from a birthday gift that was the wrong size. Had to order the right size and will pick up once truck arrives. Sucks the delivery truck only comes every Tuesday so now I have to wait 7 days to receive my order.

Staff is very helpful. Lots of inventory of boating items you won’t find elsewhere locally and you can put your hands on stuff vs internet orders. Now they have a price match guarantee too. For anything boat specialty this is the best choice and it’s got more convenient hours than most places with any sort of similar inventory. Please hit the like button if this review helps you.

Among the best sales I have ever seen. 10 foot Ugly Stick with a Shakespeare reel for 24.99. The staff is caring and knowledgeable. You do not feel worried after you spent good money because you did get quality and a well made product

Lady on phone was rude and dismissive. I am new to boat service and repair, as I have grown up on boats my whole life this is my first boat, therefore I am a newbie to ownership. Today it was recommended by a friend to replace my plug wires. So I called West Marine. I was left confused by the lady on the phone, she told me to order Plug Wires from online source. She said they do not carry and she can not order the wires I need for my outboard 2 stroke 2006 Mercury 90. Leaving this remark due to the stress of the phone call and lack of customer service over my request to purchase three spark plug wires they can not get or will not get as they say do not exist in their system.

Giving it 4 stars because Joanne is amazing nobody knew anything eccept her everytime i go into any west marine they are clueless to what i need and computers never work and dont seem very knowledgeable about boating Joanne on the other hand at the store in ft walton had me out of there with exactly what i needed in no time... only bad thing is i had to wait around for about an hour for here to come to work because i got there before her shift... she was ealry and i was out of there in no time... they need more people lile here at ALL the stores..

Not a good place to go for kayak or fishing supplies. They have been out and haven't restocked in over 4months... Sad but true. Looks like a going outta business sale. Nice facility as far as location and cleanliness/ aesthetic

Consider yourself vetted by the Shakespear of Destin.One: Do you consider yourself an avid Fisher man women person? Yep I know but these days you know, B: Everytime you gear up do you buy ice in anticipation of bringing home fish? And finally 3: Do you want an expensive cooler that has a cult like following of conspicuous consumers looking to impress by having cold beer served out of an overpriced presumptuous vessel? There are worse things I know. All that said .D: this is a gr8 place to get that cooler. Tell them reese sent you and recieve a blank stare.
