This place is amazing! Bluewater Zoo has many planted tank options which was exactly what we were looking for. We've been stuck in a big-chain fishtank death-cycle. Their variety is incredible. The tanks are wall-to-wall and clean.Best of all - the staff is friendly and experts. Amber answered a 100 questions on plant growth, water filtration and quality.Drop in and say high to Poppy the parakeet or just check out the tanks. You won't be disappointed.

If you there ask for the employee Hunter he is a wonderful person I had never been in that store and Hunter showed me everything explained any questions I had if more establishment had employee's like Hunter people would start going in more store and shopping and they do have amazing things in there.

This place absolutely blew me away! I stopped in to try and find some natural hardscape, live plants, and fish for a new community tank. Multiple employees offered to help me, and they were all incredibly knowledgeable and patient with my questions! Healthy and wide selection of plants, fish, shrimp, AND snails at good prices. I’ll be back for sure!

Great experience, everything was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed it so much. First fish store we have been to in the area that the tanks were clear, clean and fish looked healthy and happy. We will only buy from Bluewater Zoo for all our fish needs from now on. We bought a couple goldfish and supplies I still needed today.We didn't realize until we got home we were double charged for a pack of bloodworms we purchased. But they gladly gave us a store credit as requested.

I've been looking for theses cuties for 1 year by now, and I finally found them. My Bearded dragon is so big now and he's super hilarious I got a picture of him when he was so tiny he is huge now lol, another thing that I love about Bluewater zoo is that they have amazing cages and they have a chameleon sign my mom wants lol, I definitely recommend the gecko for pros and the green pac man frog for some beginner's they get super big but I recommend this for sure!

Employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. Selection is decent, but prices are a little on the high side. Would still recommend, as it a great place to get supplies, buy fish & learn about different aquatic life.

Great local exotic store! I go for the Isopods, which there are several types/morphs/species available! They also have Springtail cultures and some moss and other needed items for Isopods.Lots of fish, cute invertebrates, some reptiles and all sorts of tank and tank accessories!

Great place. We started from scratch needing everything. They were very knowledgeable on compatible fish and plants. We got a 72 gallon bow front and all the accessories. We are very happy with our new hobby. Can't wait for the tank to cycle so we can get more fish.

This store offers a wide variety of products, but unfortunately, the employees tend to be condescending towards customers. They often offer unsolicited advice and imply that the customer's current setup is insufficient for their purchase, attempting to persuade them to spend more money at their store. As a long-time fishkeeper, it is very frustrating to deal with people who talk as if they know everything about fishkeeping for everyday people. So if you enjoy being told what to buy and when to buy it just step right on down the Bluewater Zoo Aquatics.

Guy was rude and refused to sell fish trying to say that my family didn't know enough about the fish we were attempting to buy and that the type of tank we have, even though we have multiple tanks 3 over 10 gallon and a 120 gallon tank, wouldn't suit the fish. We drove from panama city to Destin with the intent of spending close to 1k on fish and aquarium items to set up an additional tank and after being so rudely treated leaving with only aquarium wood for display in the tank. Very disappointed.

I love this place. I get all my worms here and everyone is so kind and helpful. I bought my first axolotl here and I’ve had him for about 2 years now and he’s thriving!

They have so many different varieties of fish! Very clean and well-kept aquariums.. knowledgeable staff and great atmosphere! Will definitely be going back when in need of anything for my 55-gallon aquarium! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I went here today and it was awesome. Beautiful clean store with lovely aquarium displays with both fresh and salt water fish. Also some unique reptiles and some invertebrates. If I was closer to home I might have bought a few animals, unfortunately I'm on vacation but I'd recommend coming in. Only thing of note is that they don't let you hold the animals, which unfortunate but for their own good so I didn't take off any stars for that.

Amazing knowledgeable staff!I’ve been a happy customer for eight years!My fresh water tank has been thriving this whole time, turning from a pet store tank into a happy biome! The staff has taught me what to add to make it thrive, & they always make sure that what goes in is best for the whole community!To top that off they don’t stop at aquariums; they were fantastic teachers with my daughters and their corn snakes!

We bought our beautiful, sweet Axolotl babies from here! Everyone was so kind, helpful, and patient! We learned a lot from them and we got lots of tips for our tank! We now have 2 very happy Axolotls living it up! We can't wait to watch them grow into adults. Thank you guys so much! We named them Nix and Styx! 😊

Cleanest LFS within hundreds of miles of here. Good variety of freshwater & saltwater fish, aquatic plants, lizards, snakes, turtles and supplies for all of them for the size of the store. Beautiful display tanks. I’ve had a lot of plants from here die so I don’t typically buy mine here. Although I have spent quite a bit on plants here, but that’s mostly due to my inability to say no to plants and less about this store. There’s a big parking lot to the side of the building. Easily accessible, but sandy. The reptiles seem healthy but maybe not interacted with as much as they should be. They also sell tanks, driftwood and rocks, feeder mice, black worms, and just about anything Seachem. The prices are a little higher and they don’t quarantine or medicate before selling. I’ve been shopping here for over a year and a half (2-4 times per month) and have spent hundreds of dollars here and the two people that work here don’t seem to recognize me which always strikes me as a little odd for a store this small. In any case, I definitely recommend checking this store out for anything reptile or aquatic.

I had a wonderful experience today at Blue Zoo on Beal Parkway I needed a 55 gallon tank because my acrylic 55 had a spider crack in it so I was I need of a used tank I had all the filters and lighting I needed just needed a tank walk in and asked if they had any and Amber came out of back room and yes it was a used 55 glass tank it was a little dirty but it for 65$ after l got home and set it up what a beauty it is thank u all at Blue ZOO

Excellent! I messaged this morning for a 6-line Wrasse. They had 3 to choose from. I wish I could remember the young lady’s name who helped me (drives from far away). Just meeting her made the trip worth it. Very kind and helpful. Wrapped my frozen cubes (large selection) in a freezer bag & ice pack for my trip back to Panama City. Nice store, lots of selection to include dry goods, awesome staff. Thanks!

They have great selection of both freshwater and saltwater livestock and coral. Impressive store for the area. The review isn’t reflective of the products. The review is a direct reflection of the extremely poor customer service. As a business owner myself and in this economy, one must interact with clientele, no matter how much time it takes. I went to PNC fish the same day. The interaction was totally different! Blue zoo lacks so much in customer service. I won’t be doing business with Blue Zoo. In retrospect, I probably should have left my purchases and walked out.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this place, I was thoroughly impressed. I can't wait for our next trip to Ft. Walton Beach so I go hangout here.

I visited today to get some supplies for my box turtle. I found them through google and was looking for a store that had more to offer for little reptile friends, as most major pet stores around here don't have a super good selection.I managed to find everything I needed. Next time I go in, I will look into whether or not they have live mealworms, as I forgot to ask.I was also thoroughly impressed with how clean the tanks for the fish and reptiles were! You can definitely tell they care for their animals. If I was ever in the market to buy fish or another reptile, I would consider them.The store employees were also very nice, and asked if there was anything I needed help with--I greatly appreciate their approach, even though I did not need the assistance.I'm definitely happy to have found this little store, and will return for my little turtle's needs.

Very nice store. I've been in stores from Tampa to Miami and all over the state of Florida and these folks KNOW there stuff. More personable than ANY I've been in too. The female owner is absolutely the most intelligent aquatic person I HAVE EVER MET.
