We are thrilled that we can order to the store online, and just stop by to pick the items up. We snagged a great deal on safety equipment (off-shore life vests) during Black Friday. We keep an eye on West Marine sales, and will probably stop by their stores in Ft Lauderdale and Miami as we sail south for the season.

Terrible experience at West Marine. I was in need of some new polarized sunglasses and was relieved to remember that West carries some good brands and quality gear. I bought a pair of Smith’s from their Ft Pierce store last summer. Anyway, after trying on what felt like 84 pairs I finally found the pair for me. I asked the lady behind the counter if she would mind getting me a new unscratched pair. She rudely let me know that if I wanted the sunglasses that she wouldn’t be getting me any others. Basically, tough luck and buy a scratched pair. Her rudeness totally turned me off and after unsuccessfully trying to find the glasses but without a scratch, I left the store. I walked outside and bought the exact same pair of sunglasses from Amazon for the same price. Seeing that my new glasses don’t arrive for 2 days, I drove to the surf shop a couple of miles north of this location and bought some similar shades and they treated me like gold!Hey retailers, Pro-tip: treat your retail clients well or we spend money with online retailers that will.It’s a shame that I’ve been in your store twice and left with the same feeling! Lesson learned... which is too bad, you have some amazing gear.

This is a normal boat supply store.. Nothing special EXCEPT their sales people which are first rate. Going in for a part they did not have, a retired salesman directed me to the factory in Vero Beach.. Bingo.. part bought and problem solved. Seek out one of the older sales people who have themselves been boaters.

They definitely won't have what you need to fix anything on your boat, so unless you want a t-shirt or sunglasses, don't waste your time. Wish we could get a boat owners warehouse or something similar in Fort Pierce.

This store used to be my favorite, but now they are out of stock on pretty much everything - from boat parts to fishing gear to clothing. There are a few staff that are really great - knowledgeable and go out of their way to help. Corporate needs to get it together and get different vendors!

This store, compared to other West Marines, is notorious for un-informed staff. Checkout people know how to run the register and little to nothing about the products in the store. With a couple of exceptions, floor staff also know very little. Furthermore, they do not recognize regular customers. One day, I had to return to the store 3 times in a 90 minute span and there was no sign of recognition from the staff that greeted me.Contrast this with the store in my previous hometown where all staff knew me on a first name basis and gave me authentic friendly greetings every time I entered the store. Jensen Beach is better at this than Ft. Pierce.

I just went shopping around this is the first time I went into the store and they seem to have a large inventory of water sports toys and Equipment as well as boating equipment fishing equipment and some clothing

I was able to take advantage of the 30% discount for July 4 weekend. Needed a set of ropes and a Lewmar Profish 1000 windless.. The gentleman that helped me talked me into upgrading my membership to gold in a save me 100 bucks extra.

Manager is rude and when asked to price match was told by him "would you just like me to put it back in the shelf"? Great sales tactics, and he did put it back because you don't treat customer that way! Try ever other resources before you go here and get ripped off!

Went to the Fort Pierce store to exchange an Xmas gift for larger size was treated rudely by the manager on duty telling me he wasn't allowing it b/c I didn't have a receipt. Really? It was a gift. I had to call customer service # to get help with this guys attitude. Customer service manager on phone with me called store and told manager to exchange the shirt for same one in stock but larger size and he came out and handed me the new shirt. Will not ever go there and buy anything just because of the rudeness of the staff and manager...total arrogance!

Don't order from West Marine in Fort Pierce if you need what you ordered with in 2 weeks!! They'll send out one item and hold back rest until they are ready to send.... There's nowhere to trace when or what has been sent!!

I would have to say I am disappointed in the staff at West Marine in Fort Pierce, I have been to other stores and even academy sports and I have never been watched so hard in my life. No I am not Caucasian like the staff that was present, and no I am not a person who brings up race but I was made to feel so out of place. Before I walked in the employees where talking and 1 standing around but as soon as I walked in they went straight to the front counter and watched my every move while myself and my daughter where looking at kayaks. Then we walked around looking at there overpriced items and I was watched the whole time. When I left the staff started talking walking around again. I was not the only customer in the store. So why did they act so differently when I came and went? But it’s no biggie I love Fort Pierce I will find another store with better prices or I will be forced to shop online or out of the area.

I realize that the staff do not necessarily know what a couple went through to get to a the store, we were exhausted when we walked through the door, but excited to purchase our new (badly needed) dinghy...This is a difficult one, we were told they had a certain dinghy in stock and that we could see it (this was confirmed by a sales associate at another shop, who called the store to confirm they had the specific SKU in stock), as the sale ended on Monday and we are sailing south from Canada, we decided to sail on a rough day and leave some friends behind, as we were going to buy the dinghy we also got a slip at a local marina as we would need to get the dink on the boat, we decided to walk an hour to the West Marine - figuring we would have to get an Uber or taxi back as we would have a large piece of cargo, only to discover that the dingy in question was NOT the one we were looking for, it was also $300 more than the one on sale in the flyer and didn't have the same features, we would have had to add $200 in fittings just to carry it on our davits.Now a young male staff member did offer to drive it to our boat in his personal truck if we bought it - his shift was ending - and for that I commend the staff member; but IT WAS NOT the one we were told was there and it was considerable more money, they did have one in a box, but it was already purchased by another customer, they did offer to order one for us, but we really wanted to see it before committing to purchase, and the one in the box was already owned by another customer, and opening it didn't seem right.We would have bought the floor model (lesser quality and features) if it had at least matched the sale price of the one in the flyer, staff were friendly, but the misinformation we were given, caused us expense, disappointment and frustration.

No help here. If you know exactly what you need and require no advice, this is your place. Their prices are spot on. However, if you'd like an expert or at the very least an experienced consultant. Move along. I spent a few dollars more at a local tackle shop. But, the service and little extras made up the difference. Sorry WM...I fear your days are numbered. Online has you beat on prices. Local shops got you beat on service. You are a dinosaur

Every time I go into that store it's a disappointment. Second trip in less than 2 weeks. First time I went to look at paddle boards. Very few boards. Today I went for a SUP leash. No leash. They're selection over all looks as if they will close anytime.

I needed a filet knife for fishing and wife decided we needed a PFD for the dog! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. First impression was that prices were on the high side but not sure. Just starting involvement with boating so imagine we'll be back!!

Don't go to this location if you need to return something. They make their own rules and do not follow policy. They were extremely rude and gave me a very hard time about returning something that was completely within return limits and purchased only three days prior. If you're returning something make sure you have your speech planned out about why you're returning it and prepare for the attitudes from the girls at the registers. The way they treated me was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. The Jensen Beach and Stuart locations operate much more professionally.

Just purchased a handheld spotlight under a sign that stated it was 25% off. Looked at my receipt back on our boat and saw no discount given. Phoned the store & was told that was the Black Friday sign. Black Friday was 5 days ago. Sloppy way to do business. Another unhappy customer.

I went there to get bottom paint, I found the gallon and also the transducer paint . The store was not crowded. This paint seems to hold on well after a season was in good condition.
