I got a rosy bourke parakeet today, and I love my new bird. They trimmed his wings for him, which was nice bc I would have had no idea. I know it takes a while for new birds to warm up to new humans, but we’re 6 hours in to me slowly introducing myself and I can already pet his tummy and he allows it which tells me he’s probably been pretty well socialized. I do intend to come back for a cockatiel friend for my little guy soon. I do love the pets here, there were so many cool birds. Oh, and they have the cutest cages for them too.

Wish i found this place sooner! Cool little place to visit, all kinds of different animals. Not a place dedicated to cats and dogs like other big chains, but rather the more exotic pets, and quite a few to choose from. Birds, fish, reptiles, and other small mammals. People working there are knowledgeable and friendly. Prices are very competitive! Not a store in a shopping center, set up on someone's own property so it's just a neat place to wonder through! Definitely going to be frequenting this one!

My son got guinea pigs for his birthday. And what a wonderful place to buy a pet! The prices were way better than the large retail chains. The animals here & their cages were so well kept & clean. We were impressed overall, especially with how well the entire place was maintained.....everywhere you looked was clean and organized. And there was no bad odors at all.

great selection of animals. get all of my tarantulas here... great staff, always help and answer questions. much better than chain pet stores. make sure you come here for any animals!!

Do not buy your mealworms of super worms in this place or even your crackers for that fact, they will rob you shortchange you and lie to you in your face!!! or maybe the employees robbing us don’t know!!They’re lucky the mandatory to give them one star because they ain’t even worth it for being thieves !!

Dope pet store with a huge variety of birds and other really cool animals that could potentially be pets. We visit every time we are in Florida. Just a fun little stop to chat with the birds, see all the lizards, snakes, and other rodents.. have some goats in the back and other cool animals. It's not the cleanest place as it's not actually a building but an open outside sheltered pole barn almost, but perfect for all the animals and something to do to kill some time

Not a place to go if you need something simple. It's not a real building. It's in somebody's house.All I needed was crickets but pulling up. I could clearly see that this was not the place for me. This is a place for exotic animals Truly should be more specific about that. You're online as a pet store not an exotic bird sanctuary

This is not just a typical pet store.. it's a whole experience.... From their pet tortoises out front to the many birds that greet you...it's a pet lovers haven while getting good info on your animal/bird/fish care... Really enjoy stopping in at Nick's... A good old fashioned family owned pet store with people who know about pet care.. just what we need.

We love seeing all the new and interesting animals they have while picking up our regular pet care items. Right now they have skunks, a litter of baby hedgehogs, a litter of hairless guinea pigs, and even prairie dogs! It always a pleasure to visit this local small business !

My daughter had been wanting a ball python for a little over a year and on her birthday we took her to Nick’s pets to finally get one with the money she had saved up. John helped us and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. He helped my daughter get comfortable holding one and answered all her questions. They are reasonably priced and have a very nice selection. Would highly recommend this place and will definitely go back for any of our pet needs.

Super cool , off the beaten path type of place. A little dirty where they keep the birds but they are birds I can't imagine they are easy to Clean up after. They have a huge selection of birds, different reptiles, some chickens wandering around and some other farm animals. The guy at the checkout was very friendly and informative. He also gave my girls some romaine to feed to the two tortoises which were freaking awesome. Def. Worth a stop.

These animals that are in this place are living in deplorable conditions. Birds plucking their feathers, one gorgeous bird has an eye problem. The wife doesn’t know half the animals in there. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE Unless you can rescue one or some. These people are there for $ only. Not the true care for the animals including the goats who are losing their hair and look unhealthy.They need to be turned in to an ethical group. Ones who truly have the love they need and deserve. I really hope this place gets shut down and soon.

Came to buy some food for my pet snake (I bought my snake elsewhere). Decided to browse around. The animals are kept is horrible conditions. Ferrets kept in 20 gallons reptile tanks, no hides. Saw a couple dead ball pythons, 1 dead monitor lizard. Bowls in the bird cages looked like they hadn’t been changed in forever. I felt terrible for the animals. I would refrain purchasing any pets here.

Omg it’s 1:50 pm FridaY April 22,2022 this place has so many birds and other exotic pets and when I say clean I mean clean The fact that this place have so many animals and it smells clean so clean I expect all animal stores to stink but this place is the best by far I’m impressed with it all even the service very helpful my new favorite pet store plus the price is reasonable customer 4 life my daughter is happy with her green cheeked conure

This store has a excellent selection of bird cages pet birds small caged animals fish and reptiles and if they don't have it they are very eager to get it for you just let the owner know what you want and he'll get it for you highly recommend

I do not write reviews unless the experience has been great or horrible; it was GREAT this time! Nicks Pets is wonderful. I had been searching for an Indian Ringneck online, which is risky especially with all the scams, until I came across Nicks. No Red Flags and especially after I called and had all my questions answered. So, Five Stars for accurately answering questions, personal and hands on experience with the bird, great customer service and communication, and the shipping was outstanding!A word about shipping, you can rest assured that your bird is not just thrown into a box and barely given a good luck! My guy had everything he needed to make a cross country day-long trip and come out of it doing better than my other birds that had been shipped by others before. He came out of his box, got on my hand, got into his cage, and started playing with his new toys, ate and drank, and the best compliment is he took a poop.So, Nicks Pets will be getting my repeat business and recommendations here on out!

Sick and dead animals. I went to go check out the birds and saw an Amazon parrot that was sitting at the bottom of its cage, breathing hard, and had its feather lay low.This is what my parakeet looked like before it died. Any parakeet that I’ve gotten here died within a month. I went to go check the reptiles and saw a dead albino Pac-Man frog. They had a pregnant Guinea pig going through labor with 10 other Guinea pigs in her cage. PLEASE, DO NOT BUY HERE!!!

Terrible place and should be closed down. The poor birds are kept in horrible condition. Not clean, nor taken care of. Not sure how this place hasn’t been shut down by animal control.

Awesome place! Cool place for kids to see a variety of animals. You can feed and pet goats & a bull!! There is all different animals everything you can think of. Great prices. Very healthy looking animals. Not to mention all the different food and supplies you could possibly need. 10 Stars!!
