they have terrible communication skills and the application you fill out is very personal. me and my family found a dog we wanted filled out the application did a meet and greet, they never called me to tell me what was happening with the adoption so I called turns out the adopted him off to another family after they told us we were the only family getting him. better off going to humane society or at this point some shady back door breeder.

Dogs & Cats for ever Is a place that I enjoy going and volunteer very much, if you are a cat lover like I'm, you will understand. Unfortunately during covid time there's been a shortage of volunteers and not many donations of wet food, paper plates and papper towels have not been donated to the cats section. It's heart breaking to know that this furry friends that enjoy their wet food will soon be without.If you desire to help fill this cats pantry please feel free to donate some and write Attention to Miss Andrea. Would you be so kind to pass this On to a friend to see if we can achieve the cats dream of filling up their pantry with some of their favorite wet food. Thank you and God bless

We went in to get a cat and was surprisingly disappointed with the unprofessionalism and the lack of follow up. We filled out the application and was told they would think about it and call us the next day. A few days have come and passed and still haven’t heard anything. We were trying to adopt an adult cat and they have tons of them begging for adoption. I’ve heard good things about them and they are no kill so I’ll give them another chance, I hope our next interaction is better.

D&C4E is prolly one of the best no kill shelters I've ever visited. The staff was super friendly and I never felt any pressure to adopt any pet. In fact, they were more than willing to accommodate my wishes and I was more than happy to welcome Casper into my home! Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to rescue!

Me and my boyfriend come here all the time just to hangout with the cats for a couple hours. Everyone here is friendly especially the red haired lady (I think she’s in charge) we even got our new kitten there. I think they’re going a really good thing there and it’s a no kill shelter. They work so hard there and it’s very heartwarming to see people care about the wellbeing of animals in need. Please adopt!

Dogs and cats forever is an awesome no kill shelter, they make the most of the small facility they have and there's alot of great volunteers, though they could always use more! It's a rewarding experience so if you're looking for an opportunity like that I suggest lending them a hand. You can also opt to pay an animals adoption fee so that they are easier to find homes for, alot of people have done this and it helps tremendously. We picked up a little kitten from there and she is one of the joys of our lives. So happy I stopped in that day and found her. She goes with us everywhere!

Our family has five dogs of various sizes, most of which were adopted from Dogs and Cats Forever (the others are "visiting" from family members). Our dogs are living large on an acre and get to spend lots of time on trips to the woods (Regan is in the attached photo). The staff here are obviously dedicated to the cause. The animals are well cared for, but need a forever home. Please help make room for more unwanted animals that deserve a chance for a family and room to run.

Wonderful people. Found a kitten someone decided to toss from their car and they promptly came and got him. Boy I wanted to keep him my " daughter" was unimpressed and said NOPE!!! (she's mean😠). Wish the best for that kitten. This place is no kill. Go and Adopt, Volunteer, and Donate. Thanks...Go Army!!!

This adoption process takes a very long time. I have tried to adopt 2 dogs, i meet the requirements and its been a week with no response. I have stopped in 4 times in a week and directly fropped off my vet paperwork but still after a week just WAITING...... makes me want to just go to the humane society which i have successfully adopted in the past with no issues and a smaller adoption fee.

My sister and I went into this place with the intentions of adopting a dog but the service here was absolutely horrendous. The two older women at the front desk were very mean and unapproachable. They responded to our questions like if they didn’t want to talk to us and even before providing us with any information about the questions asked they repeatedly asked my 25 yr old sister how old she was even before answering our questions about adoption. At that they couldn’t even give us answers for some of the questions we asked that were not hard at all and they just treated us as if they didn’t want us to adopt any animals so we left. The dog we wanted will no longer be an interest to us because of how poorly we were treated. Please get new front desk employees.

What kind & generous people!I found a dog on the side of the road and my first stop was a vet to see if he was microchipped. He was BUT they didn’t have his chip registered so they directed me to Animal Control or a shelter. I found the closest shelter to me- Dogs and Cats Forever. They were AMAZING. They took the microchip number from me and called to find the owners. Unfortunately, the owners did not answer after calling, texting and providing them with my call back information. While waiting, the employees at Dogs and Cats Forever, hung out with us, provided a leash, water and food for the dog. After waiting awhile for the owners to call back (which they never did), they assisted me with finding where he came from, called that shelter to make sure they had room for the dog and made sure I had everything I needed. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I’m so glad I found them after calling Animal Control, who is not only closed on the weekend but provided me with no alternative solution. The folks at Dogs and Cats forever were the best company to hang and game plan with to ensure this dog was going to be happy and healthy until he’s hopefully reunited with his family.

I wanted to adopt two cats. First thing, the place smells horrible felt so dirty after leaving there. The application has some ridiculous questions. I was there about 30 minutes between looking at the cats and filling out the long application. Waste of time. I was being told I would be able to take the one of the cats home that day and then told they didn't know what shots were needed for him to leave the shelter. Instead of being up front and saying they were not comfortable letting the cat go because of my address being worried they would get outside SMFH.(I leave off a busy road) The cats would have had a much better life with my family instead of being locked up in that sticky place. I got a voicemail today with their sorry as excuses. Keep the cats. Looks like you guys need them more than we do.

We had the best experience with Dogs and Cats Forever.We fell in Love with Mojito (Now her name is Dolly).They were thorough with the application.And we did not get her till she had a clean bill of health.We are enjoying every moment with our new baby .Special Thank You to Maureen for her kindness and love for all pets.

I went this past Friday to see the dogs.It was over whelmed the lady told me ,they had a pile of applications waiting.She gave me an application to be fill out,I took the application home.My Chihuahua died of old age.They need to make the system easy for adopting again.

This is a no kill shelter. However there is a maximum number of animals they can hold. Astonishingly max’d out at 150 cats. Please help them out by adopting one or two. They have every variety imaginable. Such caring people working there.
