I recently moved to the area and started using the daycare prior to boarding our dog. As a former travel nurse who has used many doggy daycares across the country I would highly recommend. The staff is always super friendly and responsive. Gunner always comes home absolutely exhausted and the tail wag starts every time we pull into the parking lot. When we boarded him he didn’t even say good bye to us because he was already running towards the back to play with his friends. We opted to have him bathed before pick up and he came home smelling soo fresh and looking extra shiny. Loved seeing him having fun on your Facebook page. Thanks for always taking such good care of our boy ❤️

Owner beware!On October 28, 2023, around 8:08a.m., my husband dropped our pup off at Dog Resort so he could get a few things done. He picked him up at 10:59 a.m.We understand things can happen but what we have learned since that day is completely unacceptable by the staff and owner of Dog Resort. We have also received conflicting stories from them which alarms us as well.As my husband was walking out with Bentley, he noticed blood on his side so he immediately took him back in to ask what happened. The front desk employee said she didn't know but went for some first bandages. They said they would look at the video and call him while he was taking Bentley to the veterinary hospital. That call never came, we were the only ones doing the callingLONG STORY SHORT…we were the ones who kept calling them for answers, and felt there was no priority or concern for our dog. He was actually bitten at 9 a.m. and no one noticed his injury? He was in pain for TWO hours with nothing done to help him? In a conversation with the owner, she made a comment wondering if the employee knew but didn't say anything so she wouldn't get in trouble. Are you serious? And of course, one of the first things out of her mouth was we signed a waiver and they aren't responsible...are you concerned about money or the dog?We don't ever want this to happen to another dog in their care!

I was asked by Joe to come in for an interview for a dog attendant position. The following day when I showed up for the interview, Joe was not there and nobody knew anything about it. I finally spoke with Linda and had an interview and it went really well. She asked me to come in the following day and spend a couple of hours with the crew. So I did, and in doing so I noticed the crew was more interested on being on their phones then taking care of the animals. After the couple hours had passed Linda asked me if I was ready to run. I said no I'm a medium. She said she had to talk with Joe because Joe obviously hired another person suddenly. Meanwhile I was told she would call me later that day and it never happened. So I had to call her. I got the runaround. This company is not ran very well. I've still yet to hear back from anyone negative or positive if I have received the job and it's been over a week and a half. Needless to say I'm not taking the job if it's even offered. I wouldn't bring my dog to this place if you paid me.

Absolutely love this place! The staff is so friendly and gentle with my girl! She was very shy and timid and new to daycare. Now she wakes me up to go and loves it! The hours, the price and again the staff are all 5 stars!!!!

We have been doing daycare and needed to board Ella for a nine day cruise. She is anxious in Florida and she takes a few different meds. The staff is fantastic and I know that Ella was well cared for. I highly recommend The Dog Resort

Exceptional place for day care or boarding. The staff is extremely professional and caring. Our previous pup loved the cage-free environment and out new one loved the suite and hanging out with the staff. Very accommodating to the needs of your beloved pet.

After trying all the rest of the dog daycare places in Fort Myers I have finally found the BEST at The Dog Resort. The entire staff are amazing, kind, professional, and very knowledgeable. The owner Linda is absolutely hands down the most fantastic, loving, and accommodating dog lovers ever. The Dog Resort is like having a second home for my pup. He absolutely loves coming hereand has so many friends here. They offer so many add on you can literally spoil your pet everyday! Not to mention this is the most affordable daycare in all of Fort Myers. This is a WIN WIN place. So if you want peace of mind while at work, shopping, or boarding for a trip you will not be disappointed here. Yes this place is just that spectacular! A home away from home with loving and professional care givers.

DO NOT BOARD!There's so many things wrong with this company! First, there employee wouldn't let me see the suite where my dog was going to be held. The employee checking my dog in was rude! Honestly, if it wouldn't had been for the reassurance from the owner that everything would be OK i wouldn't have left him... and I shouldn't have.When I called to find out why I hadn't received pictures and videos of my dog, the first they said was they didn't have my dog Oscar! Then it was told to me that pictures/videos were sent after... which you pay extra. My dog was traumatized! The owner had every excuse under the sun for why things were wrong. Bottom line I was promised a full refund and only got 3/4 of it. I plan on moving forward with contacting WINK NEWS!!Please if you had a bad experience in the past or present with this company contact me! I want to see them held liable for the bad business practices. It's a shame that people can run a business that takes care of animals! because this one is only in it for the money and not the true well-being of the animals!

I took my múltipoo to this place for the first time. She had a long beautiful tail that we had let grow with just being trimmed, since she was a puppy. She had some mats in hair as long haired múltipoos get around her neck and legs. I knew they would have to cut her hair short, nothing new to me. However they were told specifically to not cut the hair on her tail. This place literally shaved all of the hair on her tail. When I called extremely upset about what they had done. All that girl who “groomed” her said is she had to shave it, because she is claiming it was matted. She is a liar!!! She stated that it is only hair and would grow back. How absolutely unprofessional. I asked her if it was that matted especially after expressing I did not want it cut, why didn’t she call? No instead she stated, she should not have to call and discuss with me what she does with my dog. Who in their right mind thinks that is appropriate? I can tell you, it sure is not me! I will NEVER take my dog back there again! I should have just waited until my groomer in the Cape had an appointment. This girl Ariana or whatever her name is...should not be grooming dogs! She not only made my dog look absolutely hideous, but has no remorse what so ever for what she did! I added 2 photos, the first is what they did to my dog. The hair on her head is all choppy. The second is the last time she was groomed 5 months ago and she still has her long tail and was cut short. No comparison!!!

Heaven for Dogs is how I describe The Dog Resort. 24/7 around the clock Supervision. I absolutely love this establishment. If you need to Board your pup, or just looking for daycare look no further!

Just started taking my dog rosy there this past week and I do have to say hands down the best around, staff is very friendly and welcoming as soon as you walk in the door. Rosy absolutely loves coming here. Biggest thing that stood out to me is they genuinely care for your pet and treat them as it’s their own.

Fine for boarding jobs however told my dog was too aggressive to wash. I asked why they didn’t simply restrain him and was told he was tied and muzzled but just no way to handle him. True the dog hates brushing and such but he doesn’t get to decide he needs cleaned, I do. Border Collies, natures perfect killers lol .

UPDATE:We are moving to Phoenix 10/2/18 and we will be so sad to lose such a wonderful place for our Mazee. The entire staff has went ABOVE AND BEYOND making our fur child happy and having our total trust that she is in the best hands when she isn't with us. She loves you all and so do we!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Whenever we come to visit she will have a daycare date with her 2nd family 💕THIS WAS WHEN WE WERE NEWBIES:I am a new member of the doggy daycare and a very nervous pet Mom, so far Mazee has done really well there and I am going to need to board her here for a week in the future so reading her in to new adventures and being able to have doggy friends is a blessing. Thanks to all of the staff for loving my precious pup!!

I couldn’t be happier with the place I picked for my puppy to goto. My puppy absolutely loves it here and loves the staff. She is so excited to go here several days a week. She also did her first boarding there while I was away and did great. My puppy graduated to the Biggs pack and she is living her best life! She loves the pool l, outside and special treats! They also will give baths and do grooming. Check them out. You won’t be disappointed!!

They didn’t do the evaluation on day one so our dog stayed in a “suite” for a week with very little interaction. Our dog didn’t eat well (likely depressed because they kept her in a closed space with no love. She was supposed to be groomed while there - they called at the end of her stay saying it didn’t happen. (Note this is the 2nd time they cancelled grooming within hours of her appointment) Charged extra fees for holiday that were not disclosed to us. Provided no feedback about her stay during her stay. They gave her a bath but she stinks so doubt they did.AWFUL experience from start to finish!

Zozo loves coming here. She loves playing with and just hanging out with other dogs. Now and then she has to stay overnight. I like that the dogs are not cages and have free time.

We love The Dog Resort! They're very friendly and Mochi is always excited to go. They keep it nice and clean, provide doggy report cards, and have cameras set up so you can see your dog from the lobby! They also remind you when you have upcoming vaccinations which is super beneficial. I highly recommend bringing your doggo here 💜

I feed a specific raw dog food. When the place I normally buy it from didn't receive their weekly delivery, I discovered The Dog Resort had it. It's quite a bit further away, but their prices were much better and they had a larger supply.

I absolutely love this place! My dog Dudley is almost 15 years old and has some issues, but I am always confident leaving him here with no worries! He loves it there and they genuinely love my dog!!! He's stayed for daycare, boarding, and grooming. Best place he's ever been to!! Very very flexible hours which I appreciate and great rates.

We reserved a "Private Suite" for our 5lb Pomeranian for three nights. When we dropped her off we also dropped of her favorite Bed and Blanket. So she would be more comfortable. When we returned to pick her up they brought her out to us without her Bed and Blanket. When I asked for those items they pretended to not be able to find them. Then after about 10 mins they were brought out to us covered in large amounts of diarrhea. I told them that there is no way that came from our dog she is only 5lbs. The employee told me that a large dog had gone to the bathroom all over her bed and blanket. I asked how that could happen since we had paid for a Private suite. The employee had no answer and did not even apologize. I left our saturated items there and will never return.

The Dog Resort sells dog food, treats, collars, leashes, harnesses, toys and a unique selection of t-shirts. They also offer several types of services including grooming, boarding, dog daycare etc. I had purchased Groupons for dog dental cleanings for my two dogs. The store was clean and we were greeted by Amy who provided teeth cleaning for my dogs. She was very professional. She did a great job cleaning my younger dog's teeth. She called after the dental exam of my older dog to let me know due to condition of his teeth, he'd require having his teeth cleaned at a Veterinarian office. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the service provided and how my dogs were cared for during their dental appointment at The Dog Resort.
