As another review mentioned above, we purchased an Umbrella Cockatoo that was not quite weaned yet. Our children were anxious to get the bird home but I read stories about people taking home birds before they were ready and had terrible outcomes. So we trusted Juan and he took our bird home nightly with him and cared for it and weaned it over the next two months. We were able to visit and check on Sunny’s progress. Juan is incredibly knowledgeable and truly loves and cares for all of his animals. We brought Sunny home today and we could not be happier! Sunny is eating and is already fitting right in.

Purchased a Pineapple Green Cheek Conure from this shop. The owner was very respectful, knowledgeable and honest. My wife and I wanted to bring the baby bird home asap, but the owner recommend that he stay with the baby birds a couple of weeks more, to make sure they are eating well and look and act healthy. We really appreciated his honesty. Now we have a beautiful baby bird at home that is healthy and eating and playing and just being loved by my wife, children and myself. A friend of the family recently purchased a baby bird somewhere else and took it home still to young and unfortunately died. Pretty confident that place just wanted to make a sale and didn't care about the well being of their pets. So again thank you to Juan the owner. Anyone looking to buy a bird, this is the place you want to goto.

Stopped in today and I was very impressed with the store. All of the birds are well taken care of, clean cages,water plenty of food. He has a large variety of birds with an awesome layout. I purchased a canary & I am very very happy. Juan is extremely knowledgeable you can tell he loves his birds. He is not pushy a great business person,will definitely shop there for all of my aviary needs from now on, let’s support our small local businesses!!

Friendly staff. Easy parking.This store is amazing. Kind of small with a huge bird inventory. From finches to toucans and everything between. Bored food, cages, toys. They even have prairie dogs.

Very clean and the people were very friendly. We had our Cockatiel for 23 years and when he died I it broke my heart . Now we have our new Cockatiel two weeks now his name is ROCKY . He's already learning to talk from our other Cockatiel JACK who is 15 yrs.

cool birds! just wish they took better care of the birds by giving them bigger cages :] heres the sun conure i got here i love them they are the best:,] also one of the workers there were really annoying and kept trying to sell us a macaw even though they were aware we weren't prepared for one and it was very annoying and uncomfortable plus i don't think they know much about parrots

Went here a while ago and honestly felt sick leaving. Only birds that looked good were their “prized” birds such as an African Grey but even then, it’s iffy. But lots of them were overcrowded in cages and very obviously stressed. Little food, dirty cages, dirty water. Babies are plucking and self mutilating. There was a poor quaker with an incredibly overgrown beak… The conditions the birds are kept in is so so sad and it breaks my heart. I am all for people finding their perfect bird companion, but this store worries me with how they may be treated. Seems like all that’s cared about is making money from these animals.I have my own feathered babies at home and I genuinely wanted to cry leaving this store… It was tough to hold it together.To the owner: Please do better for these beautiful creaturesand to customers, do your research before buying from a store like this.

Awful. The birds were all completely stressed. Every conure and smaller bird was terrified of people. Everything bigger than an African Grey was mean as all hell. Left with a bloody finger. Birds are extremely over priced as well.

Beautiful little store. The fish selection was rather minimal but the sheer variety of beautiful birds really catches the eye. We got 5 guppies for 15 dollars. Half of what they cost at other businesses and the quality is great. Will come back.

Update!! Was here about 2 weeks ago, place had been cleaned up great, cages look good and clean, most important the birds food and water dishes completely full. Thank you for cleaning it up.Just was here with my mom at first looked decent but got deep inside the store and birds over crowded in cages and cages to small for some types of birds , ants crawling on bottom of cages and in the food water dirty, there is this beautiful toocan and african grey that are kept in too small of a cage for them to stretch, ashame that the Lee County animal rescue dont shut this place down to me the picks you see are just a photo stunt.

Me and a coworker decided to go into this pet shop to look at the pets today. when we entered all we saw was overcrowded birds in cages in filth. I’ve worked at a pet shop before and I’ve never seen so many birds crowded in a cage the way that it is. It’s cruel and not right whatsoever. This place needs to be shut down. It’s bad enough animals don’t have any say with their lives and they definitely don’t need to be in an environment like that. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Pls don’t support!!!

This is our go-to place for anything bird related. We've made many purchases from this store, and the birds are always healthy and fairly priced. The owner is really knowledgeable and will take the time to make sure that you get what you need.The store has many different types of birds available, so you won't be disappointed.

We purchased our Amazon, African Grey and our sweet Sun Conure from here and without a doubt will never go anywhere else. The owners are extremely knowledgeable and take the time to explain and educate you on the birds. Our birds are beautiful, very healthy and so sweet. The prices on supplies can't be beat. The Amazon Pet Store is very clean, I've never seen any issues with the quality of cages. The animals here are healthy, happy and very well cared for.

I don’t understand how anyone in good conscience can shop here. We walked in and the sound of birds screaming was overwhelming. Dirty cages, birds pulling out their feathers, birds in distress, birds randomly flying around the shop, birds overcrowded in cages. We have a conure who we take great pride in caring for. I would never support a business like this owned by someone who clearly doesn’t have the animals best interest in mind in my opinion. This place should be shut down for animal abuse. If I could give ZERO stars I would.

DONT BUY! I brought my son here to look for a small bird after his father passed. He was excited to train a parakeet. We weren't in the store more than 5 mins before we rushed out. There were tons of birds all of which looked very sick. There were cages stacked on top of each other with way to many birds in each. Empty shells in a feeding dish on the floor of the cage covered in droppings. No food. I was horrified by the condition these poor birds are living in. All of that and more and we only made it to the left wall of the store.

I am from Ohio and visited the Amazon pet store today while in Florida. I have 6 birds and I have to say this is one of the best bird stores I've been to. It is very clean and most of the birds were already extremely friendly and tame. I would have loved to purchase one from here if I didn't live so far away! If I ever move to this area I will definitely be buying all of my bird supplies here!

We were impressed with the variety and healthy appearance of all of their birds and the tameness of the birds that we liked. We visited while on vacation in August and bought an African Grey, a Quaker Keet, a Baby Albino Cockatiel, and a pair of Scarlet Grass Keets, the store owner held and cared for the birds until the end of our vacation we picked them up on the way home. The owner was fantastic, he showed us how to feed the baby tiel using a syringe and how to wean him. We are home now and it has been a month, all the birds have adjusted well, the African Grey is very well behaved and looks beautiful, the Quaker follows my wife around the house sitting on her shoulder, the tiel has been weaned and is now eating small bird cookies, pellets, veggies and fruits, And the Grass keets are gorgeous, my wife wanted Lady Gouldian finches until she laid her eyes on these beautiful and peaceful birds.

Store owner very friendly. Had to bring in my Goffin Cockatoo for a wing clip and he did a fantastic job handling him even though my cockatoo was a bit bitey. I will definitely be going there for my pets needs. Great prices. Beautiful birds. Would recommend to every and anybody.

Went in with my son Yesterday and as an animal lover I left in tears!!! The birds are Extremely overcrowded un- socialized and traumatized!!! To the point of self mutilation 😭💔 underfed bare minimum seed only diets feather and beak issues I'm so serious people PLEASE do your research before attempting to purchase a bird and you will clearly see how absolutely horrible these poor birds are kept I'm absolutely devastated!!! And will be making a call and turning him in ASAP!!! Please do not help contribute to this bird mill and I urge all my animal lovers to take a look for yourselves and make the call so we can get these birds into a place to help recover!

Don't go here! Too many birds(big and little) per cage. Almost every bird looked sick. One of the cages had bird seeds only in the bottom of the cage in a dog bowl (free for the birds to poop in it). There was no quality bird food, Only treats. The photos were misleading, I was expecting better. I hope they close down so those birds can stop suffering.

All your animals are so happy, healthy and friendly. And you are so welcoming! I have purchased 2 parrots and a guinea pig from these beautiful people, and i recommend them to ask my parrot friends 💚 Also a great place to buy food and supplies.

I give this place 10 stars!This is my new favorite place. My husband and I have a love for parrots. We have a rather large flock of juvenile budgies which I rescued from a bird mill in Naples. This is my go to place for seed, litter, toys and all other supplies for our flock.There's a cockatoo that tries to get us to take it home everytime we go in. 💞But my husband's dream bird is an Congo African Grey (cag). They didn't have any our first visit. We needed another seed corral for the budgies and low and behold they had a CAG. Its Juan' s personal bird. And he breeds them and has babies available at the moment! (They are not in the store.. Dad was just there for play time...) We will be picking up our baby in just over a week and we are beyond excited. Its all hubby can talk about.The prices can not be beat. Juan is knowledgeable on every bird, not just the ones in his store. (Personally, I dont care about other animals, my focus is birds..)Our first visit the cages were a mess. But I didnt take into account that they were bigger birds than budgies and there for create larger 💩... And I'm betting it was the day before cleaning day that we happened to stop by that first time. All other visits the entire place has been spotless for having so many animals! I really do admire his passion and work ethic. Then again, its not work if its something you love. And Juan, he LOVES this. You can tell by the demeanor of the birds and other animals.

I went in here thinking it looked magical and left feeling heartbroken. The animals are crowded in and clearly mistreated. The puppy area also seemed disheartening. Selection was okay, but not worth supporting a store that seemed less than concerned with its animals.

Purchased a lovely whiteface cockatiel from here last weekend! Wonderful price, and even though the owner said the bird needed some work, he is already eating out of my hand and hanging out on my shoulder !Would visit more often if I lived closer!

This store is Amazing! The owner, Juan, is outstandingly helpful and answers all my questions. I love shopping here or just spending some time with the birds and all the other pets there. Every visit there is something new to see. I will say, call to make sure he is open before you go. It’s says open at 10:30 but, not always open until 11. Regardless....Worth the wait!

A friend and I walked in to this store and was shocked too see how the birds were maintained there was so many of them and crowded into their cages also looks like the cages haven't been cleaned in days this store should be shut down asap definitely sad seeing such beautiful birds being treated this way.

Terrible! Bathroom Out of order?? No they have over 100 baby birds stacked in cages one on top of another in the bathroom! Birds are so crammed in pens its unbelievable! Inhumane! Place needs shut down! Will be reporting ARFF

Mother and brother bought a cockatiel who was just a few months old. We've had him for little over a month and he's been healthy with no signs of illness or alarming behavior since.
