I came in about 3 weeks ago to adopt a cat or kitten because I started a new job and I work 12 hours a day and my 4-year-old neutered, male cat needs a companion. First I had to fill out an application like for a background check and then a week later I get a call from the lady that is supposedly over their adoptions. She was kinda a c@nt on the phone. Talking about oh I live in an apartment and she could not adopt out the cat to me. Someone who grew up on multiple farms had horses cows chicken guineas pigs goats a number of dogs and cats I've raised dozens and dozens of kittens. So I'm leaving this one star review for that. My cat Loki and I do not approve of their methods and can go eff their selfs.

The staff is nice. There is a bunch of different pet foods there. Similar to a larger pet store. They don't have all the food brands like the larger pet stores do, but good variety. They have a lot of different treats. They have some bunnies for sale. They have fish, and fish equipment and aquariums. They have dog clothing, leashes, and a lot of the home remedies for GI upset. They have flea, tick and heartworm prevention. Pets are allowed inside.

I just got back from shopping at this pet supermarket and loved it! My little girl needed a new harness, she is a less is more kinda girl and I needed some thing a bit smaller than the one she was currently wearing. The associate, Brandon, was terrific! He helped me make sure the harness fit her properly and then he discussed all of their dog foods with me. He gave me some good tips on what might work well for her and he definitely knew his stuff! I highly recommend this store if you’re needing any pet supplies for your babies!

I would like to let your company know about my experience in one of your stores today.I got such professional service when I brought my Rottweiler in to pick out a toy. The girl gave him a treat to try and he loved it.She also sent me with some samples to try after I told her my dog was a fussy eater. Top notch employee Five Stars all the way from Rascal!!!!!

Rachel was such a great help in helping me understand tips and tricks of what to feed your dog and what not to. She was very patient with my questions and concerns. Highly recommend coming here and talking to her if you need any insight on pet care!

Come here for unrivaled quality product selection. Was visiting family and needed an anti fungal shampoo for their guinea pigs. I called several big box stores on Google but they didn’t carry any options so I tried this smaller local store and was delighted with wide and thoughtful selection of guinea pig products- probably 2-3 times the variety of what my local chain store offers. Will definitely be coming back next time I’m in town!

I have been in search for a bird for awhile, any other store I have been to has not let me interact with the birds, however, today at this location Robin got the bird out that I was interested in and let me handle and kinda get a feel for the bird. I could tell she really cared about the animals and was very informative. I’m very happy I stopped in today. She was awesome and has great customer service skills, very very personable. 10/10 would recommend this store at the Fort Myers location!!!

Just stopped here for a look at the fishes. Angel Alonso was the guy giving me service for the fish I wanted. As a fish hobbyist I take very personal how my fish are treated when being caught and bagged. Also plants as these can be very delicate and break or pinch easily. Angel by far has given me the best service yet. He was very peaceful and caring, calm and efficient catching the fish. Did his job fast and yet was very gentle to the fish. He was also very gentle to the plants. Thank you Angel, I'm very great full for your service, we need more employees at the fish department like you! 5star plus!!!

I went to the store to change my dog's food to a more nutritious and healthier option for my labrador. I was assisted by Ashyln, who was amazing. She is very knowledgeable, kind and patient. She answered many questions that I had, and assisted me with the decision of the food I chose for my dog. You are very fortunate to have Ashlyn on your team. It is evident that she enjoys her job, and that she truly cares about the nutrition that our pets receive. I felt so much better about the food choice I made after I left the store. Great job Ashlyn!!!

Clean store and parking lot. My pup needed a new harness, so we stopped in. The employee was great! Helped us size the harness and all. Grabbed a few treats too. We will definitely be back. Well done! 👍

My boyfriend and I came into the store last night to get dog food and we were contemplating rehoming our 9 month old micro bully because he had been fighting with our 3 year old pitt. I was very upset and didn't know what to do but then I talked to the store manager Arianne and she was absolutely amazing! It was close to closing time but she took the time to talk to us for a good 15 minutes about different techniques and ways to get them to stop the fighting and I didn't want to give up on him, but I didn't want either dog to get seriously hurt. She told me she has 4 dogs and had the same problem with one of her dogs. She helped me so much and truly cared! She deserves to be recognized for this and I hope the corporate manager can see this and know Arianne is amazing and you have a great employee that not only does her job but goes that extra mile to take the time to make sure 100% cared for and comfortable.

Today we visited for the vip vet which was super amazing! So convenient and everyone was so nice! But I really wanted to say how nice an employee was, Brandon. Brandon was upbeat and helpful! We were about to buy a treat for our pup, he informed us the ingredients were not the best and suggested a treat that was safer for our fur baby. He genuinely seemed happy to be there and to help. Thank you Brandon!

Apparently, Pet Supermarket has recently updated their website, in an attempt to place my monthly order for my dog's food I would get an error message.....long story short I tried for 2 weeks to place an order, tried different systems and different browsers, to no avail. I called corporate and basically told, well I don't really know what to tell you!!! What kind of service is that??? I have been a customer for a long time and have always liked this store, until now. I then called my local store, basically the same kind of help, none.No order, no help, and not returning after years with this store!!

The customer service here was great! I will definitely be back for future purchases. We got our 4 year old daughter a Beautiful yellow parakeet and she was soooo Happy with her pet bird. Thank You So much for helping us put a smile on her face.

As big box stores prove their corrupt marketing tactics only hurt animals...This company chooses actively the hard and right road to caring for pets.They didn't have a single bad product 'looking at you rawhide which kills and harms many dogs' , and were very professional.If you want a pet store, this is it.If you want to care for your pet this is it.If you want to know if a pet is going to be good for you, be honest and they will guide you.This store deserves the attention of the community.

I rescue reptiles so I am forever in/out of pet stores for one thing or another. Many of them make me feel very sad. Pet Supermarket in Ft Myers is a wonderful place. They truly care about their animals. They spend time with them & socialize them. They’re always looking to improve on their animal care & are happy to accept feedback from their customers. I’ve had a couple of recent experiences that were outstanding & wanted to share. Not long ago they were having some behavioral issues with a couple of snakes. I contacted a friend who is way more knowledgeable than I am about snakes (I do mostly lizards) & she Volunteered her time to see if she could help them. Not only was the manager happy to accept the recommendations they were given, she implemented them. Today, I pulled a brand new spare tank out of my garage that I bought at the store on Cape Coral. It was purchased as a spare. Today I needed it. When I removed the packaging, the bottom of this 40 gal tank was cracked in several places. Of course I no longer had the receipt. I called the store & asked if they could look it up under my phone number. She did. Even though I didn’t buy it at the Ft Myers location, they were happy to exchange it. I loaded it into the car & when I got to the store, they unloaded it for me, helped me find a replacement, checked it thoroughly to make sure it was intact & loaded it into the back seat for me. That is service. This place is legit. They care about & for their animals. Customers are encouraged to interact with the animal’s& provide socialization & stimulation. A good friend of mine who is crazy about all animals works in a restaurant in the same shopping center as Pet Supermarket. On her breaks she goes to the store & loves on the animals. The staff have gotten to know her & are happy to allow her to spend time with their animals. They also offer adoptions from some of the local no kill shelters. I can’t say enough good about this store. If you’re just buying food, or looking to buy a reptile, bird, rabbit, fish, hamster or gerbil, this is the place to go. Now they’re offering customers the option to donate $ to support the dogs that assist our military in combat zones. There are few more worthy causes as far as I’m concerned! Plz check them out. You’ll get good quality animals & products. You’ll get the guarantee they’ll replace or somehow adjust if a purchase doesn’t work out well. Like my tank - no questions. Just a straight exchange that took all of 20 mins despite the fact they were very busy & loading a 40 gal tank into the back seat of a NOT big car takes some effort. I’m happy to recommend this store. Please be mindful when choosing a pet store to patronize. Not all are like this. I’m grateful we have this place in Ft Myers. So give them a chance. I doubt you’ll be disappointed!

Everybody who works here is SO FRIENDLY! The first time I came in I was helped by an older gentleman. He helped me decide on a good litter box for my fat cat! Told me if it didn't work out, no worries, just to please empty it before returning haha. The second time I came in, an older lady helped check me out. I also work in retail so we sparked up conversation about being short staffed and that led to a conversation about working with injuries as we both have rotator cuff pain.I wish I could remember their names but these 2 people were great. All my business is going here for my cat!

Worst store around. I’m constantly in there buying fish supplies and tank accessories and new tanks and tonight I was in to getting feeder fish. Let me remind you the profit they make off of just 10 feeder fish is a lot. 10 for 2$ or 1000 for 40$?? The sales associate helped me and there was miscommunication and she gave me around 70 rosy reds when I asked for 50. No big deal she messed up and was just going to charge me for 50 cause she already tightened the bag and didn’t want to waste everyone’s time on a simple error on 4$. The correct thing is customer service so that’s what she did. I went up to the counter and what I’m guessing is the store manager instantly looked at my bag and noticed there was a little too much. She called the associate out in front of me and said “she couldn’t count fish” and then went back to recount them and took 20 minutes to recount 50 fish. Come on. Natalia has terrible customer service and doesn’t know how to treat employees and customers. If I knew it was gonna be an issue I would of paid the 4$ for the extra 20 fish so I wouldn’t of had to deal with her or see how she talks to her employees that actually know something about customer service. And also let me just add that when I got home I already had 5 dead rosy reds on the surface. I will never shop here again.

Love this place, my go-to for raw dehydrated dog treats and kitty food!! Love their VIP program too, super great deals and always adorable kittens to say hello to as well at every location! This location is my favorite though, I’m truly a regular! They always do the best they can to address your questions and staff is super helpful and cares about your pets needs! 🙂

I went for cat food and had a few questions about what food is best for my cat. The 16 year old gum smacking employee was too busy having a conversation with her friends (who dropped in) about a fellow employee who was obviously NOT in the store, (based on the topics being discussed) to notice me. When I actually had to raise my voice to attract her attention, she made it clear I was interrupting her. She had no real answers other than "you need to read the label". That was difficult as my vision is impaired. I left the store and went to a competitor a few miles North and had attentive employees there. Shame on this store for not educating their staff. ALL THEY SELL IS PET SUPPLIES, it not like there are 67 different departments. The store is never busy over the 3+ years that I have frequented the store. Not too hard to figure out why.

The service here is very good. One time I opened a bag of dog food that I had accidentally left in my truck bed overnight when it rained. The bag got mold in it. I told them about it on my next visit and told them it was my fault. They still replaced the bag for me, saving me $60.00!
