Not sure where all these 5 star ratings come from, as this was the most poorly kept store I’ve ever been in.Fresh water area wasn’t maintained, and had multiple dead fish. A couple tanks were so dirty you couldn’t see in, and a few had mass casualties.The marine tanks I wouldn’t ever buy a fish from unless it was to save it.I’m assuming at some point this place was really nice, and has met hard times, but the high end rating this place get does not seemJustified.

Absolutely amazing these people know exactly what there talking about and really hello you out there assortment of fish a phenomenal. From Color to no cooler there still amazing good assortment of feeder shrimps to keep your tank clean. There prices are affordable too so even if your a beginner looking for a sheep start this is for you plently of beginner tips and if your experienced they have moor matnenced fish. I am defenantly comming back soon thank you for helping me out 10/10 would recommend.

So sad… Drove hours to come to this store based off of many good reviews, I even called to confirm they had the fish I was interested in. I have been to countless fish stores all over the states and this has to be the worst. Walking in you’re hit with the overwhelming smell of poorly kept aquariums. All the tanks were disgusting. One tank was so full of algae you could hardly see that, unfortunately, there was a live fish inside of it somehow surviving. The fish I drove hours to see was emaciated and discolored dark grey. This was the saddest sight to see. Other fish covered in ich. This store has potential but it needs an overhaul by someone who cares deeply about the wellbeing of the livestock.

Visited Fantastic Fish for the first time today and it was a wonderful experience!There is a large selection of fresh & saltwater creatures and supplies. The gentleman working there was very helpful and friendly. My husband and I were able to find everything we were looking for and more.BONUS! There are 2 shop kittens roaming around the store. They are both outgoing and absolutely adorable.

This is a great location. They have a ton of new & used tanks for sale, decent selection of plants, numerous types of fish, stones and wood. The owner has always been a pleasure to speak with and open to give advise on tank stocking and different avenues when it comes to equipment. As mentioned in another review, the only downside is the insanely high humidity level and temperature. But it is pretty much expected when you are inside of a fish store.

First time in the shop. One thing I have to say is he did have a great variety of fish. However, we bought 3 fish Friday and woke up to one dead Saturday morning. Like other reviews, I did see dead fish in multiple tanks but I still wanted to try to buy a few fish.

Lots of variety of fish. Super knowledgeable and super helpful. They will walk you thru all of their fish, let you know what matches work best, and goes as far as making sure the sex’s are aligned as to not cause chaos in your tank. They have excellent prices and a tone of different species. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic Fish is the best place to go in Fort Myers for buying fresh and saltwater fish! They have a beautiful selection of exotic fish, and the workers are very knowledgeable, helpful and personable. My car actually died in their parking lot and Elijah was nice enough to stop what he was doing to go get his jumper cables and help me start my car back up. Thank you Elijah!

Pulling up to this shop is scary, you make the trip, you see the building from the outside and you're disappointed. It's not until you walk into the store were you're greeted with a hobbyist's heaven. They've got a very wide variety of healthy, niche, and good looking fish, and even more healthy and beautiful plants. The shop is staffed with a lovely group of workers that are excited to answer your questions and are full with personality and advice. This isn't your petco or other generic box store pet-shop, this is a real, honest, and passionate store that you'll much more enjoy visiting than the corporate nightmare box stores.I've bought some plants from them today for my Betta tank, and I'll be returning to buy some more as well as some of the neat freshwater fish they've got. Overall, excellent establishment, just a shame that the property landlord won't give them the parking lot they deserve.

So this store does have a really good tank selection, most of the time a nice healthy plant selection too. Also has a nice variety of fish… but almost in every tank you will see dead fish or sick fish.. it’s very unfortunate. Prices are on the higher side especially for fish that are dying.. also the store is a MESS. You can barely walk in!! And please do not go in that bathroom!! And looks like the workers could care less to clean anything, they’ll just sit on their phone at the counter… like there isn’t stuff to do or dead fish to be scooping out, or fish to be treated…. I give 2 star because of the variety. And I mightttt go back but if I see the same conditions I’ve seen before I’m not getting more fish from there !!

Elijah was AWESOME!!! And Tom was also!!! Love this store!!! The service was THE BEST!!! I got my 75 gal tank and stand. Tom ordered my Sicce Shark internal filters and I pick them up tomorrow!!! I wholeheartedly recommend everyone to stop by this quaint shop and support the MOM and Pop Stores!!!

Dirty, messy, uninviting place. Hard to walk around in, disorganized, dirty tanks. I would not trust fish from here to survive as they dont look healthy in the store so I'll not be wasting my money here. Best part is the shop cat, she gets 5 stars.

Visited this place for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! It's completely different inside than what you would think from the outside. They have a huge array of fish, tanks, decor, and so much more! They are knowledgeable and helpful too! This will be my go to spot for anything fish tank related! Highly recommend!!!!!

Awesome customer service, great selection of saltwater livestock and even more freshwater.In my experience the owner did more for me than most fish stores would, he recommended a fish to me and it got eaten and he still gave me credit for it which I didn’t even expect. Truly a great man that understands taking care of his customers.Edit: on a side note this goes for every fish store, always Quarantine any fish you get for at least 30 days with medication, I didn’t do this and only did a one hour dip and one of the fish had velvet so I’m hoping my tank is ok since I caught him pretty fast but still always be careful anywhere you go. I still give this place 5 stars just be careful.

I feel I should leave a review after having visited this place... While the selection was very large, and the staff that was a very nice and knowledgeable man, and the cat was incredibly sweet... I feel that this place is in dire need of some tender loving care... It looks nothing like the pictures that are currently listed here, it's very unkept... There are dead fish in every other tank, the ceiling tiles are falling down possibly from a leak in the roof which is what's causing the mildew smell. Not going to say anything about the saltwater section as it's being redone so theres nothing to see there currently.I feel that this place could be a wonderful place to shop at and the bulk food prices are wonderful, but the owner needs to get some friends and family together that are willing to help bring the place back to the way it was when it first opened. I would even go as far as to say move to a new location entirely and start over, as this current building seems like it's falling apart. This place would have gotten only one star from me if it wasn't for the fact that the gentleman working at the table, a older heavier fellow, was incredibly knowledgeable and knows his stuff about fish and also very nice.Unfortunately no amount of good customer service can excuse the total disrepair that the store is currently going through.The prices are very good and there's a large selection but you're not going to be impressed with the way the store looks.

This place is chuck fill of fish of all kinds. Tanks galore. Feeders. Accessories. Fish food. Plants. Elijah is a very knowledgeable and a helpful young man. Thelma is the store cat and very friendly. Louise, her sister, stays outside. My son loves going to this store with his new love of fish. The biggest downfalls, the floor is always wet and it's hot in there. The back of the store looks very unorganized and needs redone. .

Good selection and variety of fish are always coming through the store. I always see something new when I visit. Hardscape is relatively plentiful, good selection of large and small driftwood but somewhat pricey. They have several kinds of popular decor stone. Many used tanks on offer as well. The store usually has a decent live plant selection as well as several hard to find medications. The only downside is it's somewhat unkept. Tanks could be cleaner and lighting could definitely be improved upon. Owner is very nice and knowledgeable. This is my go-to local fish store, even though it's an hour from my home.
