I had the pleasure of dining at Deep Seafood Lagoon Restaurant in Fort Myers and it was a fresh sea-to-table experience, I had the boiled peel and eat shrimp and my daughter had the coconut shrimp salad and it was divine.The French Kiss is made with absolute raspberry vodka, pineapple juice and black raspberry liqueur.I think we had the biggest piece of chocolate cake I've ever seen, it was as big as a whole cake.The waiter was extremely knowledgeable and John B was the best waiter and so kind. The happy hour drink specials were fantastic I had a French Kiss and Key Lime Martini.

Well lit and welcoming, Deep Lagoon was a pleasant surprise. The happy hour specials are minimal but priced well. The martinis are notably well made and delicious! The breading on the volcano shrimp and clam strips is a bit and lacked depth of seasoning, but I suppose that could be attributed to playing it safe for their older clientele.One star on the food was removed because the oysters while delicious were comically small on a few of them. I understand not every oyster is going to be a winner, but four of twelve were the tiny Tim's of the oyster world - at $3 a pop I can't really recommend them.Overall while they offer standard seafood fare, they have enough unique dishes that it's worth checking out!

I have never left a review in all my life. But today.... Today I need to recognize this beautiful soul Darian and Deep lagoon for their sweet gesture. About 3 years ago I tragically lost my best friend and every year for her birthday I have lunch or dinner and order my usual blue moon or Michelob and I order Erica a miller lite. As always we get asked if we are waiting on someone and we kindly respond that no our friend will not make it because sadly she has passed and today is her birthday. Well today as we are finishing up our lunch Darian came out and said "hold on we have happy birthday to sing" with this big beautiful cake and her infectious smile! That gestures HHB "happy heavenly birthday" with 3 forks. Darian understood the assignment more than I did myself! She even continued to sing when I couldn't! Words couldn't express the appreciation I have for this sweet girl for just taking the extra step today. Darian you will forever make me smile and this world could truly use more people like you! Thank you!

Perfect day! Nice view of the water and the light breeze made the temperature refreshing. The four of us had different items, each being deemed great! The chocolate cake at the end was terrific and one serving was plenty for the four of us.Special kudos to Loree, whose upbeat and extensive knowledge of the menu helped make the day.Parking: Not a problem at 3 pm, which is when we go!

We asked our server about happy hour at 6:25 and by the time the order was placed it was 6:31. The happy hour drinks were not granted to us. The server said the hog fish was better than grouper so I ordered it. It was very thin and not that tasty. I was up charged to the.8 ounce fish without being asked. When I pointed this out he said he would change the bill. He then came to our table and asked me if I would like to order a free dessert. I thought this was weird but said yes only to find out the bill had not been reduced. I would have appreciated everything to be explained a little better and not had to felt like We were being taken advantage of.

The fish wasn’t seasoned properly. The fish tasted very bland & was unpleasant to eat. I won’t go back or recommend any deep lagoon restaurants or their partner companies like pinchers because their food isn’t seasoned properly causing unpleasant dining experience.Parking: Becomes packed & parking can be difficult. They have valet to assist with parking if needed

Good location on a canal. 40 minute wait, cocktails were great at the bar! Nice atmosphere but the restaurant is so loud that you can't have a conversation. There are a few tables outside along the water...wish one would have been available. Service was very good but my chef's special Hogfish fillet was as dry as a hockey puck with no seasoning to speak of. A friend recommended this restaurant and I was hoping for a better experience.

03/31/24 - My family and I just had an incredible Easter Sunday meal at Deep Lagoon.The food was phenomenal, with widely varying unique flavors. Our table ordered hogfish lagoon style, grouper Rockefeller, swordfish Neapolitan, and a chef’s special of crab-stuffed salmon. All dishes were incredible and after each of us tried each other’s main, we had trouble deciding which we liked best!Our server Thomas was helpful, genuine, cheerful, and his joyful demeanor transformed our already excellent meal into an exciting experience. His recommendations were spot-on and he remembered to check that every detail of our meal came out correctly. We felt genuinely taken care of and WILL BE returning repeatedly.

I have traveled all over the country and the world, and this is one of my favorite places to come to seafood. Amazing variety, and excellent quality, but please get more staff.We were seated quickly but waited 10 minutes to see a waiter. About 15 minutes to get the drinks. Then, another 15 minutes to take the dinner order. The food came up fairly quickly and, as always, great value for the price.Overall, it was a good experience that could have been exceptional, with more staff providing faster service.

My sister, who lives in Cape Coral recommended this restaurant. After coming by boat the day before and not being able to find dock space, we came early for lunch the next day and were able to find a space for our boat. My wife had the muscles and said they were some of the best she’s ever had. I had the black grouper grilled and it was excellent. Also, the green beans were cooked just perfect. A beautiful place to have lunch right on the water.

Local colleague I was visiting recommended the place for some good seafood. Place is right at the edge of water. Atmosphere was nice. Sat in the covered patio area, was a bit humid and warm but heck if you are used to the weather, no biggie. The service was good. Ordered some crab cream Wantons, triple tail fish meal with mashed potatoes and asparagus, and for dessert I got the pineapple turn over cake. Everything was pretty good. The triple tail fish could have had a bit more seasoning added but no biggie. Will need to come back in the future and try their sushi grade tuna dinner.

From the locally sourced fish to the succulent shellfish, it’s clear that Deep Lagoon values fresh ingredients. I had the blackened grouper for my main course, and it was sensational. Perfectly cooked, flaky, and seasoned just right, it demonstrated the chef’s mastery in handling seafood. The accompanying sides of seasoned vegetables and rice pilaf were delightful complements, wonderfully cooked and flavorsome.The oysters, of course, deserve a special mention. The raw bar provides a wonderful variety of options, and the oysters we had were fresh, plump, and delicious, served with a tangy mignonette sauce that beautifully enhanced their natural flavors.The service was top-notch. Our server was friendly, informative, and attentive without being intrusive. She provided excellent suggestions, ensuring our first visit here was memorable and enjoyable. Additionally, the staff was knowledgeable about the menu and the seafood in particular, which was a definite plus.I must also praise their extensive wine list that perfectly complemented the seafood offerings. The bottle we chose, a crisp, white Sauvignon Blanc, was an excellent pairing with our meal.All in all, Deep Lagoon provides a wonderful fusion of exquisite seafood, stunning views, and commendable service. It's not just a meal, it's a culinary journey that explores the depths of the ocean's flavors. I am already looking forward to my next visit and would highly recommend Deep Lagoon to anyone who appreciates great food and a great dining experience. This place was excellent. Awesome service, great food, great drinks a really unique experience. Recommend highly might want to make a reservation especially in season. The triple tail fish was incredible as well as the hog fish. I know I’ve been wanting to try hogfish for a long time and it might not sound the best or look the best as a fish, but it taste incredible.

We started with delicious fried calamari followed by seafood gumbo soup which made you think you were in New Orleans. The fried oyster sandwich was beyond generous with the oysters as I counted at least 10 good size ones. Only 4 of them could fit on the sandwich, the others almost covered the entire plate. Last but not least, the service provided by Brad was nothing short of exceptional!
