The area immediately around the pier is working to recover from Ian. It still kinda messy but you can see effort. There is a great restaurant called Wahoo Willie's close to the pier and several food trucks. Pier is not currently under construction yet.

It is worth the trip and walk to see the view. There is lots of paid parking so looking around before choosing an area so it's close as can be for convenience. Lots of shopping and dining options all within walking distance. Beaches are nice

Great place for the family. We left our stuff on the beach, walked to town for lunch and a break, then came back a few hours later and played in the water again. Beach is clean and shallow water, great for little ones. As of 8/26/21 the pier is closed for construction.

This is a excellent place to take a first date on or hang out with some friends.Something to do for everyone, live music, restaurants, entertainment on the square and of course the pier.The sunset was breathtaking, I highly recommend going.

The pier appeared to be in the midst of repair or renovation given the yellow taped-off areas. Despite strict rules about not feeding the wildlife, the birds seemed too comfortable around people so there's not much enforcement. The little shop was cute and had a few fun souvenirs.

One of the more tourist-y parts of the beach, the pier is a great place to view a sunset, photograph ospreys and pelicans, and take in the enormity of the beach in either direction. There’s also a good photo opportunity beneath the pier where it connects to the beach. It’s pretty light on crowds during the weekdays, and parking is limited. With it being so hot in the summer months, parking offsite and walking to the pier may be an issue for some people. It’s also not dog-friendly.

Hey Fort Myers, lets fix the pier already!!! Such a big tourist attraction for the whole area. Everyone loves to walk on the pier. It will be a boost to local business.

Awesome spot. Shops are a little expensive but some are just right. Got a shirt and hat for under 22 bucks. Just look around and you will find something you like. Brown pelicans will come close to you so watch out if you don't like birds.

Beautiful walk out on the pier, unfortunately red tide was here so no swimming (November)Was lucky enough to snap some shots of dolphins playing.It's set up so you can sit and watch the sun rise or fall, both gorgeous here, or just relax.

Beautiful area. If you go in the morning, there aren't too many people but know that most shops don't open until 9/10a. Lots of shops and restaurants close by. There are also public restrooms nearby. Parking can be hit or miss depending on the time of day. I visited twice and on my first visit there were several dolphins swimming in the area that you could see from the Pier. If you are a tourist, it really is an area that you should visit.

Went after the cyclone Ian. Most part of the pier is destroyed after the hurricane. Nice beach for fishing. It must be a beautiful beach before the sad event.Unfortunately Most of the near by shopping area is destroyed. We saw lot of people rushing into the beach. Weekend might be full of traffic and too less space for parking.Hopefully everything will be restored soon. Would love to visit again!

Also a place to visit while at Ft Myers Beach especially at sunrise or mainly sunset. Best seat in the house during sunset. Not to bad for shelling either during low tide peroids...just make sure there's not a resident in your shells could possibly get you in trouble you don't need. All the sea creatures below were placed back into the water unharmed.

Beach side ft myers pierTake stroll down on the square lots of shops and restaurants and fishing pier. Playground for children. It’s a great place to watch boats and jet skiers and birds. Might even see a fish being caught. Try some yummy fudge on the square.

Well no much to say about when the photos speak for themselves. This pier is made of concrete, it has a shop where you can bay bait, beverages, post card and much more.At the end there is a platform which part of it is under a roof, helps a lot when it is really hot.Fishermen and tourists share this space with care and stories.Nice pictures can be taken from it. Any direction your camera looks, there is something to remember.Some other piers hire a person to charge at the entrance. Honestly I DO NOT understand that.Ft myers pier is FREE. Enjoy it!!

Pier is a great walk, so is the beach. Speed boat races were on for Oct 10_12, good show. Not too many people in the water due to red tide tho. Quite a number of dead fish.

Nice place to fish. Plenty of room and shade so you don't get sunburn. There is a little shop on the pier that can service all your needs. The beach is there for nice dip in the water. Plenty of restaurants at the entrance to fulfill your cravings to eat. Definitely recommend a full day here.

Great spot to see the sea life. Occasionally see dolphins and some pretty big starfish! Nice place to watch the fisherman as well. Get here early.

Over one year after Hurricane Ian came through, this area is still devastated, fishing pier is completed destroyed. But sunset is still as nice as ever.

Went to the beach in this area. It is very crowded right next to the pier. Down the way a little bit it nearly a private beach! We sat down and had no one near us for 35+ feet. You can literally hear all the waves crashing and the sounds of the beach without having to listen to kids and 12 other peoples music blaring. I would come again!

Cool way to see the beach with out getting sandy. Parked for free at a gift shop nearby & bought a souvenir. Had ice cream at the beginning of the pier.

I love this area! Shops, food, beach ... perfect! Parking is $2 per hour, get there early to get a spot. Enjoy!!

Beautiful area with plenty of restaurants, bars and shopping. Traffic can be a pain as is finding parking, so prepare to walk.

My favorite beach to go to! Love walking around the little town. The sand is very soft and the water is beautiful. I have been going to Fort Myers Beach since I was young and will always make it my go to spot for relaxing and having and good time with family and friends.Parking is usually less than $8 bucks depending on how close you park by the water.My girlfriend and I love spending the day here
