I cannot say enough good things about FMAC. So far they’ve cared for 3 of our babies - an anxiety ridden Malinois with a heart condition, a rescue with fear aggression, and our most recent addition from the cat distribution system. The entire staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and compassionate. Ryan is always a pleasure and so informative, all the techs and assistants are so patient and caring with my dysfunctional crew, and Dr. Shank always spends more time with us than most other doctors so I leave well informed and I feel like she genuinely cares for each animal. Prices are pretty average if not less than many other practices, wait times are MUCH shorter. Couldn’t have asked for a better team for my babies.

FMAC treats us and our animals like family. The level of care my babies receive at this small country vet clinic is better than a lot of large fancy vets in more populated areas. Their care is personal, Dr. Shank is very knowledgeable and also knows when to refer to a specialist. Ryan at the front desk is amazing - he should run our government because he keeps that place running like a well oiled machine. You need anything, he’s on it! I love FMAC

I love Fort Meade Animal Clinic. Everyone there has always treated my fur-babies like their own. They are always very personalable and caring. When we had to put my Beagle Carmin down, they were so kind and thoughtful of my feelings. They gave me privacy and and time alone with her first. And they were so gentle with her. It really meant the world to me, and made the whole process a little less painless. I will never forget that! I still have one Beagle and two cats and know they are always in good hands with anyone there.

The staff at Fort Meade Animal Clinic are very caring and kind. Dr Shank is by far in my opinion the best Vet in Polk County. Ryan,Alyssa and Megan are the staff I have dealt with most over the years I have been using the clinic and they are exceptional. Definitely 5 stars.

The front staff is very friendly. I was greeted right away and the man conversed with me while I waited. He asked questions about my pet. Techs were very nice as well and vet that was filling in for regular doctor was very nice as well. My concerns were that cost of extra services were not disclosed upfront before being provided. This is very important because you may receive customers with limited income or on a budget. I was offered the option to purchase an anti fungal ear wash but the item was actually expiring in 4 months and I only knew this because I knew to ask. The others in stock had the same expiration date so I chose to purchase online. Overall the visit was good and my pet was well treated and I loved that I was able to be there through the whole exam. I will definitely be back and hope to meet the usual vet in the future. Thank you

Ft Meade Animal Clinic has been by far the best vet experience my pup and I have had. My dog suffers from severe allergies and at almost 8 years old we’ve been to many vets and tried many different medications/food combos to set it straight. Dr Shank and her team have contributed tremendously to his care and have gotten his issues more under control than ever before. They don’t nickel and dime you like a lot of other vet offices and you can tell they genuinely care about your pets well being. Highly recommend!

I went in with my Dachshund and they treated her so good. My only fault I seen was I was told one price but it was another. But I was very happy how the gentleman at the desk helped me so much. The vet tech was amazing and the Dr showed she cared. They didn’t find out what is going on with her. We are going to follow the orders of the doctor and loose some weight and see if that helps her.
