The store is staffed with 3 stars for hospitality as the staff obviously has beef with each other. I’ve visited this store over 8 times this month. Each visit shows the same poor customer service skills for all of the many employees that the owner employs. Perhaps, everyone that works there are family members? As far as the store itself, I give 5 stars!!!! They have more hardware than most stores I’ve visited. As a contractor, and engineer; I love West Coast Hardware Store only because they have it all. (Minus hospitality)

Best place in town to rent machinery and pretty much anything. Did a Dethatch project here at home. They had a very nice machine to do that job. This it was $30 or $35 for 4 hours.

Best option for those things people need in our area that you just can’t seem find at Home Depot. Specialized selection geared towards us. As far as customer service I couldn’t give a $&@? If the employees don’t think I’m special. I’m assuming the don’t, but I’ve never really asked

The rudest lady I’ve ever experienced in that store in 24 years I’ll not be back. Babe’s Isn’t that far across town? I know they have new owners in the past year or so but that lady that was supposedly in charge Saturday has zero customer service ethics. They seem to be fine, and all smiles when you are buying something but when you come back with a small problem, you are basically called an idiot. $8.00 and you’ve lost I loyal customer. By the way The one rating was because they didn’t offer zero or negative numbers.

The girl at the register with long dark hair is the most unfriendly person. She doesn’t say hello, charges your order, doesn’t ask if you want a bag, and Does not say Thankyou!!! She has zero customer service skills. It is like she is doing you a favor! The 1st time I chalked it up to maybe she is having a personal issue, the 2nd time she was almost quite rude besides being unfriendly. I won’t be back, Babes will have my business

I am honestly extremely disappointed in this place. I have been coming here for years. Mainly for equipment rentals. Over the past year I’ve had pieces of equipment fail. Never did they come out and fix it or reimburse me. This last visit was extremely frustrating .i was screamed and swore at over something that was quite frankly the employee Vince’s fault. he helped load the machine, checked it told me to just turn the gas off and your good to go. The machine was never used that day because it never started. When I got back vince said he knew this was going to happen. well why would you let someone leave like that? Then stated yelling/swearing and stormed off telling me he’s got things to do other than work (it was on a Friday) how about a little guidance on things that are not so obvious.you can’t expect every person to know everything about every piece of equiptment. They simply cannot take responsibility, customer service is non existent. These people have literally stolen thousands from me and I wish something would be done to make these careless, rude employees responsible. It’s wrong. I see plenty of other people here having similar issues so why isn’t anyone doing anything to fix the issues? This is not how customers should be treated.Update to response: your employee looked the machine over on the trailer and okayed us leaving. He stated “just turn the gas off to make sure it dosnt leak” Then, when we got back stated that he knew this was going to happen. Why would he let us leave like that? Do you think that’s fair? You cannot expect every person picking these machines up know every small detail. We just load it how it has been loaded in the past when we go there. Last year we rented a stump grinder the track fell off. I called and was told to leave it there you’ll be by in a few days. We cannot leave it in a customers front lawn. I had to get a mechanic to put the track back on so we can finish the job and get it back to you. I was not refunded for that cost or the time lost.same with a lift that broke. You gave us a small one but we needed the large one so that did not work out. You’ve charged me a $100 for a few pieces of grass on a stump grinder. It has just been excessive. We do not have these issues at any other rental place. In regards to this current issue, I offered to pay the deposit to get it fixed and asked to have one for an hour just to complete the job you’ve declined and wanted me to spend another couple hundred to rent it again. I’ve paid the couple hundred to rent it, an extra $100 for the deposit that you’ve taken , plus now a new rental somewhere else. I will take some responsibility for being uneducated that you cannot slightly lean the machine backwards, but I do believe that is partially your supervisor mechanics fault for checking it and letting us leave like that. He certainly did not have to speak to us like that.

I am a big fan of supporting local business and this is a GREAT place to support!! The staff is always friendly and very helpful. You can rent just about anything, from equipment to tables and chairs, for an extremely reasonable price. They also have Yeti AND Costa products. It is a win win, if you ask me!!

Overpriced Example: $13.00 overpriced on a bag of birdseed compared to hardware store down the street and even Walmart prices. $13.00 OVER!!!Would not honor shelf price sticker.Horrible customer service! Will never step foot in again.

Decent selection if you are doing home improvement. We are painters and usually use other major retailers. We were nervous visiting because it seemed close to the looks of Ace Hardware and they are extremely over priced so we avoid them. When we started looking at price tags they were definitely fair, which was a pleasant surprise. I was disappointed that they didn't have a hand sanding block that I was looking for and the cashier was a tad on the rude side but the floor employee was great! Overall worth the time if you don't want to face the crowds at Home Depot or Lowes. We will stop here if needed when we work in the area.

Wow, talk about a slap in the face. Im giving them a 3 because the initial visit (on a Saturday afternoon) the staff staff was kind, efficient and actually seemed to like their job.I bought 4 pipe fittings. Used 2 of them and needed 4 more of a different size. Returned on a Wednesday and got my head chewed off for not having the receipt. The clerk agreed to get the manager since i was going to buy more and just trade the 2 fittings. The manager was rude, and screamed at me when i told her she should be able to scan the code and see that they were on her inventory. She told me to leave if i dont like it. I said i usually like it and i do plan to return.

This place and the employees have been amazing! After buying a pontoon in "excellent" condition, we were referred here for their Marine Department so the necessary fixing could happen to put the not-so-excellent condition pontoon in the water . Not only have they had everything we needed for the myriad of parts and pieces required to get our unit operational and looking good, they also had very knowledgeable employees, including Gordon and others, who have been extremely helpful in pointing out all our options. Even employees in areas of the store other than Marine have been exceedingly friendly - it's a place I was happy to have available and was not embarrassed to walk in 8 times over the course of 4 days. Every time, I was able to find the piece I went there to get. How wonderful to have such a great resource in our little town!

Old fashioned service--the way it used to be! Greeted immediately, super nice! Gordon so nicely tested our RV battery and discovered it wasn't the problem...he directed us to a distal wire tester so we could troubleshoot our RV slide. In addition, he managed to upsell my husband to the fishing section....oh no! If this hardware store doesn't have it, you probably don't need it.

Great place to go for your everyday around the house items. They have a great marine section as well. They also rent out tools and equipment to make your job that much easier. Nice clean hardware store with knowledgeable employees.

So I called tonight, 4:20 PM. I had a question about their propane pricing. After a quick answer of the call, the gentleman said he would transfer me to the front cashiers. I've been on dead silence hold for for over 10 minutes. Go someplace else. This place is imploding.

I will never shop here again, I'm arewards member for some time. I bought a tube of FLEX glue supposed to work under water. This product does not work under water (utterly garbage) so I tried to get my money back $20.00 I didn't take a receipt because I'm a member. I bought this Thursday 12th 2023 they said I haven't bought anything since November 11th 2022 which I know isn't true. I said scroll up your computer screen, they wouldn't. I said I will never shop here again, thank God for Babes ACE HARDWARE down the road! She said have fun with that...low class

Went in for a nut that was not included in box for a new toilet. ( Home Depot - American standard toilet) Gentlemen helped me find it and return back to the 2not so happy men trying to install the toilet within less than 20 minutes 👍👍👍. Store had lots of good stuff for my kind of shopping. Just wish I had time to look. I will be back 👍

I've gone into the store a few times hoping it would get better. This review is not about their products or pricing, it about the culture that seems to exist in the store.The staff is old and crabby. I've been repeatedly met with crabby impatient staff. If they dont want to be there, then stay home. The store definitely needs some younger staff and a fresh attitude.

New to the area and stopped in because they are closer than the bigger hardware chain stores. Wow...they have a little bit of everything...hardware, gardening, marine, gifts / cards, cleaning, etc. This is a great local place where you just want to come in and peruse the aisles. And I love that you can buy nails, screws, nuts, bolts, washers individually. I needed a couple of washers for a project, and they had exactly what I needed without having to buy a pack of 50. Will definitely be back to spend more time finding more treasures.

Not from the area but called this store to see if they had a product I needed. They didn’t, but honestly it was a long stretch them having it in the first place so do please do not allow that to imply a small product inventory, I’ve never been in the store.The lady I spoke with on the phone was so helpful and pointed me in the right direction. I sincerely appreciated her taking the time to help me when she didn’t have to. This is why I shop local and support small businesses, when possible. They are in the “people business”.I’ll be going here for paint when I start my next project, in a couple weeks.

They refused returns of unused caulking because of no receipt. When purchased they were unable to issue receipts. Do not recommend using this store.

I've used this store for 19 years and have been very satisfied. I had one bad experience years ago with one of their personnel, and that person was let go shortly after that. Their staff are courteous and helpful - they pretty much know their stuff and sometimes suggest solutions I hadn't thought of on projects. A couple of years after I found them, I needed to re-plank a 42' trailer up north and I couldn't find the right size stainless steel bolts, so I called them and they shipped them to me in Iowa. I wish I had this store available up north as well.

Good people working there, but who ever created the awards points system after being a frequent shopper shouldn't have that job. Probably spent on average $250 a week for two years on heavily taxed supplies I just received my $5 dollars off coupon. should have kept it and kicked me in the nuts on my next visit would have felt better.

I like it because of the extensive hardware section for marine. Also the staff is quite knowledgeable and I find the pricing much better than the large competitors. It's close to my house and they also have a very large rental section which I constantly get equipment for projects at the house. Big items I still need to use the big box stores but for a good steady supply of hardware material you can't beat it.
