Drove to this store, because the Gasparilla Road location that I normally shop at was closed during the middle of the day with a sign on the door saying air conditioning broken. So I drove over to the store since it's only a few minutes away and they too were closed during the middle of the day on a weekday. Sign on the door saying "back in 2 hours we have to unload a truck". Completely unacceptable, you should properly staff your stores so that something as routine as receiving a delivery doesn't shut everything down. I'm done, I'll take my business somewhere else

Absolutely ridiculous that you close in the middle of the day and it’s not the first time you need to give us corporate office number because this is unacceptable you are to be open until close not when you want to close I’m sorry do your job or get another job

We really like this store. It is very convenient and the prices on most things are not bad, you just have to watch what you buy becausesome things can get rather pricey. The store manager is very friendly and recognizes us as regulars, which is really a bonus. They have a decent selection of items in the store including pet, household products, some freezer and refrigerator foods, decor, holiday, candy and canned goods, drinks, gift cards, beauty, toys, seasonal items, snack foods, some crafting/school supplies,hygiene and medicine,and they started getting some clothing items back. You would not think to check out clothing items at a "dollar store" but I really have gotten some cute things here. They also have a 1$ section, which is very important for many people who have tight budgets. They recently also got a self check out machine, many people are against it, but they do not realize most stores like this overload their staff and have one cashier that is responsible for all the customers in line. So it truly helps the staff eliminate the factor of frustration of customers. Overall we like this store and they are also open until 10 PM, rarely have an overloaded line, and they are a quick easy stop on the way home or a quick trip to grab things.

The younger guy with the tattoos is THE nicest person I've met in a store. Been there several times and he has checked out my items. The store is very clean, lots of stuff at way cheaper prices than Walmart. Sales, buy one get one, one stop for everything. My favorite dollar general because they have everything so organized and I feel they have more things than the others to offer. Great location. If I could choose just one small store that isn't a big box store, I would choose Dollar General. I worked for one as an assistant manager in the late 90's so I've always been a fan. Great company to work for. I worked at the one next to Reid's Nutrition where the thrift store is now.

The store employees would not sell us cases of water tonight. The governor has declared a state of emergency, we have children at home and three customers including myself were attempting to buy water to prepare for the impending hurricane. The staff claimed they needed to save them for tomorrow for other people to purchase? We were just attempting to buy 1 case. Earlier in the day when my husband stopped for a snack, other customers had 6-8 cases of water walking out of the store. The cashier was beyond rude and would not let us purchase a single case. I cannot even imagine being that horrible to any customer in any setting. We had to give the cashier the case of water and instead go to the coolers and buy individual larger Aquafina bottles. So bizzare.

This Dollar General has a good manager, and is always stocked well and organized. They even remember what smokes we get. So glad to have this place when you don't feel like going all the way to Walmart.

Very nice Dollar General location, I'd go as far as to say the nicest I've seen! The gentleman who checked me out was very kind and professional! He mentioned he was from NY and we related on the fact that we had both recently moved back to the area. It was my first experience at this location, and because it was such a good one, I will be returning!

I have never been treated so poorly by a manager in any retail location as I have at this location. Annabelle is the rudest, most inefficient manager I've ever seen. Even after informing her of my disabilities, she continued to harass me. Don't go to this location if you have special needs because they simply don't care and do not accommodate.

This is a brand new location right on 776. The store is very nice looking inside and out. Brand new everything, it's clean, well organized, and the young girl at the register was wonderful. (I didn't get her name but she had dirty blonde hair and a southern accent)The only thing preventing a 5 star rating are some of the prices. Some items are outrageously priced. It is "Dollar General" after all. You'd expect prices to be around a dollar, give or take. I know that not EVERYTHING is $1.00, and that's fine...but $13 for a cheap wicker basket is just silly. Other items you'd expect to pay about $2-$5 are priced well over $10. This is puzzling to me, because their target market has got to be bargain shoppers, and convenience customers. Neither of these target demographic groups are going to pay $17 for something that only costs $4 at Target or Walmart

The manager was very helpful setting up my Apt. I get the emails but I needed the Apt to display the coupon. Once you get the emails I should not have to go through the Apt to get my coupons.

Didnt go in today, everyone I saw entering and leaving had no mask on, even the 2 delivery guys they had it around their neck so I went back into my car, I work with hospice and that's a little too much for me to chance
