Store was clean and organized, cashier was friendly. The one thing that troubled me was the fact that I overheard some of the staff discussing their schedule and one has worked 17 consecutive days, no days off. If this is actually the case then they either need to promote this person or give them a decent raise in pay because they were still providing excellent customer service. I'll shop here again

Great neighborhood food quick stop for general necessities. Has most items you need in a pinch and when you just need snakes or don't have time for grocery shopping. The staff are all friendly and manager Bruce has been there several years. One of the better run an cleaner Dollar General's l have been in.

In contrast to the first DG I visited that day, this store was neat with clear aisles. Staff was friendly and helpful. I liked that a second cashier opened as soon as a line developed at checkout. That's always a plus.

At this particular location the employees are so friendly and helpful. You're greeted at the door and asked if you need assistance finding anything. They have a little bit of everything so it's easier to just run in grab something like milk and be out the door instead of having to go into the grocery store. I would recommend this location to everyone.

Store was very well kept and clean. Everything was easy to find no waits in line. Cashier Terry seeemed very bothered , kept rolling her eyes and huffing and puffing. Hopefully she was just having a bad day because she was not friendly or customer service orientated at all!!!

Very friendly employees! Most of time the service is quick. And if you need assistance with something they are more than willing to help! Squeeze the chew toy for service if there is nobody at the counter, they are most likely stocking shelves.

Cheap and affordable stuff there. The service was good. Well when it came to me but there was a guy that walked in the store and was literally shouting hello, anyone here. For a good 10 minutes before anyone came to help him.

I was in store iNot going to preach politics but the employee was, i made it very clear that is not acceptable. Very unprofessional, and needless to say i will never shop there again. She was very slow as,she was talking politics to trashy customer in front of me, leave your opinions at home, you offended me and i gonna tell evetyone i know to not shop here until they fire this women behind counter

I like the store but even though masks are require employees run the registers with masks pulled down. Went today and clerk had mask pulled down, when I got to the register he was outside smoking.He came right in, mask still down, and rang up all of my items without washing his hands after putting his fingers to his lips several times while smoking. This is basic hand washing even before there was a global pandemic, customers shouldn't have to teach you this.EDIT: Happened again, same guy, same place. Walks right in after a cigarette and rings you up without washing hands and without his mask on. He also smokes directly outside the front door and you can smell it throughout the store.

The cashier is extremely rude. The digital coupons didn't work and I showed her they were on my app downloaded. She made me go to the back of the line and said I could try again after she rings up other people. While I was waiting in line she complained to the other customers about how couponers just waste everyones time taking up space in the line. & how she cant stand couponers. So I will not shop at that location again. The cashiers at the Ellenton DG by Ace Hardware were happy to let me use their DG digital coupons.

Prices marked one thing ($5.00)you get charged another thing ($5.95)Thereby causing you to go back to the shelf where you picked up the item, take a picture of the marked posted price, go back to the register and stand in line again to show the young lady the price that’s marked is different than what she charged you . then you go through waiting to be refunded the difference. so if you pick up 10 things and eight of them are incorrectly charged... pain in the butt! Not worth the effort to stop here.

Every Saturday that buy 25vand get five off is awesome....however last time we were in there there was a issue with the app and our coupons but the guy at the register (very flustered poor guy) took everything and manually did our coupons for us just so we could get what we needed. Way to go DG palmetto/ellenton near ellenton & gelett road!

DG is pretty crowded with merchandise and somewhat 'dusty' looking. I bought some packs of tissues that were a good bargain. There are quite a few products that are over a dollar.

New manager there named Brant Lee is rude and combative when your just informing him that the coupons aren’t working in the app for other customers when clearly I know that there is nothing that they can do about it from prior experience

Typical dollar store. Couldn't get the website to work to be able to use digital coupons. Lady who worked there wasn't all too helpful when I asked how to get it to work either.
