This campground is a peaceful and pleasant place to stay, located just 20-25 minutes from the beach. We had a wonderful time here. The large, concrete-padded campsites are shaded by mature Florida pine trees, providing plenty of shade. Our campsite had a great view of the pond/lake. There are a number of good hiking trails within the campground, and the Florida Trail also passes through. Please be aware that the campground is accessed by a red clay dirt/gravel road. We happened to arrive during a rainstorm, and the road was a bit muddy. However, other than that, the campground is clean and well-maintained. Our campsite, number 14, was wonderful. It was very private, very large, and had a great view of the pond. We had excellent 5G T-Mobile service. The tree canopy blocked our Starlink system, but we were able to use our 150-foot cord and find a reasonable opening that gave us enough access to use Netflix and the internet, which was intermittent at best. There is a bit of road noise from Highway 79. We would definitely stay here again without a doubt.

Great, simple place to relax with family and friends. Perfect weather this time of year. (October) Everyone keeps to themselves. The sidewalks and decking to the two main docks were fixed up.. More maintenance is needed on the trail to fix the other dock...I was hoping it was going to be fixed this time. But all in all a nice walk down the trail and relax time.

We were camping in the sand pond campground, not the primitive sites. Real well cared for area, near the beach.

Beautiful out of the way primitive camping spots. Site 3 was a nice flat drive up spot on the water. Staff was amazing and even came to the rescue with a jump when my car battery died! They did a control burn of the forest while we were there (came to let us know before they started and when they were done). Not many days available most sites were booked in advance.

Very quiet peaceful and secluded park with pretty trees and trails. It is different from the conservation park with Gayle's trails nearby because of the more dark water and type of trees wide at the bottom and skinny at the top evergreen trees. Still the red trail has the wooden walkways across the wooded pond. Cool place for nature pictures!

Beautiful state park with cheap daily entrance ($2 per person). The main site has two circular hiking/walking paths (~2mi and ~5.5mi). I've hiked both and they have a surprising amount of diversity for a shorter day-hike! And the Florida Trail has a section through this park which both trails cross. The campgrounds are well maintained and sufficient for either RV or tent camping. Plus there is a group area with picnic tables and reserve camping area for larger parties. The site is rarely crowded, even on a weekend which makes for some awesome day-hikes - definitely my go-to spot!

Easy trail. Very flat and pretty fast, not technical at all. I think going clockwise is best for bikes even though it's not directional. Sandy in some spots, pine needles makes some corners slippery so watch out for that. Pretty fun if you push the pace a bit.

1st time riding bike trail (9+ miles). Will ride it again, even though it was not challenging nor any nice scenery. But it was a clean trail. Could use more markings for sure.

Really enjoyed with my 2 kids. Stayed in number 1 primitive spot. Clean and plenty of trails. Ran across a 4 ft rattle snake about 50 yards from camp so be careful.

This is a beautiful campground close to PCB. If you choose a primitive site, be prepared to be spooked. The gates are left open at night and people just drive thru there at all hours of the night, felt kind of dangerous

We paid almost $30 to stay here 2 days ..There is no grill the grass is so hi in the campsite that I was afraid the kids was going to get on a snake..There is no burn pit..Trash everywhere. Why have to pay so much and this place is not even kept up..This is just wrong ...This was at the Babtisum hole..

Nice spot for camping and there are some beautiful old cypress trees, and I'm not sure on that cypress part, by the boat ramp you must get a look see on. It's to the left by the entrance fee drop box. Just seeing them made the drive from Panama worth it by a long shot. It's the kinda spot where you can go and chances are ain't noone gonna be there and you can sit and talk with the Lord and maybe find some peace with yourself. The mosquitoes however are a different story as far as peace is concerned. No rest for the wicked as they say, these mosquitoes must be part of the wicked cause they did not let up, not for a second until I left the waters edge. At the campsite I dont remember a single mosquito giving me a problem however I had some straight dank nugs and a bottle of bourbon so its very possible I just couldn't be bothered with them at that time.

Quiet secluded place to fish, rest, and commune with nature. Also has several well marked hiking/bicycling nature trails to explore.

Sand pond Campground is an excellent small campground. Almost all sites are pull through which means lots of space. I'd say at least 2/3 to 3/4 of all sites are situated right on the waterfront. Lots of birding and cycling trails. About 20 minutes north of PCB. Good clean and close facilities to use. The dirt road in can be a bit dodgy if you aren't paying attention due to some wash out sections but seems maintained regularly. All sites have grills and fire rings and also picnic tables and a bench by the water. I had trouble finding this information online so I figured I'd add that. I'm sure the fishing will be better when the weather warms up.

I stay here and camp every time I come to Florida. The bathrooms are always clean and there's always something to do within the park. I always stay at baptism hole and reserve my place a few months in advance I never have a problem reserving and the park members are always so nice and helpful. I recommend to all my friends and family.

Great place to relax and unwind. Has some nice trails to hike or ride bikes. I'm a ham radio operator, and I enjoy bringing my portable radio gear and enjoy the outdoors while operating.

Stayed for two nights on site #2. Very enjoyable for us. Only 20 rv sites total so not a lot of humans running around. The campground was in good shape generally. Some of the sites have a steep drop exiting the pads so watch your hitch. Especially the pull thru sites. 30/50, h20, dump station and fire rings.
