The store in Dover, Fl is the worst. Every time I go in there the store looks like a tornado passed through. Carts of stock able product in the aisles , just sitting there. The aisles are too narrow for customers and their carts AND the stock carts. They clearly have zero team work or system for doing anything. It's ridiculous.

The hours listed online are incorrect. I purposely left my house early before I had to go in to work so I could grab what I needed for the day. I go up to the doors at 7:45, they do not open automatically and then an associate comes to the doors, locks them in front of me (because he was outside sweeping before I got out of my car) and then hand gestures to me they open at 8. Very rude and unpleasant experience thus far.EDIT: Thank you for changing the hours of operation! It was just an inconvenience on an already busy day. This should help deter any further mishaps. Also, JR Opinions. First, I'm a Lady not a guy. There wasn't a sign on the door when I went over a month ago for new hours or any hours of operation. Also, how could I see the sign at the register if I wasn't allowed to go in because they were closed? If there was, I wouldn't have written this review silly. 🤦🏻‍♀️

This place is a joke. Always understaffed & closed! Get the manager from Family Dollar down the street to clean this mess up. The manager here clearly ISN'T MANAGING.

Good service until I needed $10.00 cash back, which i got. I merely asked for a 5 and 5 ones for the cash back. Cashier says "rolling eyes" "confused" I cant do that on cash back. I'm like excuse me your drawer opens you have to physically get the cash out of the register. I mean is it that bad it's my money basically and I just asked for you to break a 10, what a joke. So 3 starts for the rest of the normal people that work hard in this store. Just not the guy that I ran into. It's bad enough they are under employed here but the money is coming off my debt card it's not like I asked for quarters.

Always friendly employees and able to run in and grab what I need. Signed up for text messages and get coupons all the time. Easy to use app and generally in stock when I need something.

Super disorganized you can barely get through the store. Restroom is usually "out of order" and cashier's move their lips more than they move their hands. And one of the cashier's that is usually there speaks poorly of customers as they walk out the door and says very offensive and rude things. I live close to this DG but much rather drive further and go to the one on Baker St than to deal with that cashier (would rather not mention his name)

Always dirty, disorganized and never restocked...! stuff everywhere, big carts blocking all the aisles, can never get thru to find anything. Every time I go in same thing... like the carts just sit there forever.

Good morning I went in today for my girl a Easter Basket and im at Easter Baskets and the boss of store come up to me and ask me want i had in my bag i told him my money and stuff why he said someone seen me get something and put in my bag so he took my bag and looked in it and he said ok no sorry no nothing and told me to carry a basket to put stuff in and put my bag on my arm i never been so much like some one low to the ground but i didn't now want to do this is coming from a mom were her son is serving for this country wow god bless this store

Went in to buy a car charger and it was $8. I was really confused because I thought being in a Dollar General everything would be one dollar... To my dismay not everything here is a dollar. So buyer beware when you go in everything you buy is not going to cost just $1 but it's still really inexpensive and now I understand why it's called Dollar General.

Rudest cashiers and employees EVER! When it was getting close to time for closing, the guy started yelling at us rushing us to finish. He checked us out quickly and didn't even give us a chance to enter our information to use digital coupons. After physically walking to the aisle to verify a sale item, the cashier came back and said he didn't see it posted. I walked back with him because there was a HUGE STICKER across the entire Pod section saying save $5 with purchase of 3 items. In a rush to try to get me out here disputed the sale listed and gave multiple excuses or reasons why I didn't get the $5 off...I would NEVER GO BACK TO THAT LOCATION and I think the employee, JR or JJ, I believe, should be fired. He has no place in a customer service position and he is clearly not experienced or intelligent enough to read and follow directions. Jr even had to post a review of himself acting like a customer to make himself look good.... How pathetic!

Staff are very rude.... I was there at 8:50 someone was already at the door not letting anyone going in i try to go in and he was like we about to closet am like you closet at 9 and i walk inside and he told me you better hurry up when i was inside the cashier started yelling at us rushing us to finish i chech out and walk out from the store at 8:55 and they close the doors people still in the parking lot trying to go in the sign says they close at 9 the doors should close at 9 and let the people inside shop not rushing us.

At 4:30 on 12/20/18 there were approximately 20 people waiting in line. Many people, including myself, left due to the long wait. Terrible service and management. This is why I avoid Walmart, lack of staff and corporate trying to cut corners on service.

Great store with a lot of changes the last few months...this is a more busier store than most of your DG stores...also if you go on wed through Sat expect more crowded spaces due to them working on the truck.

Dollar General is my favorite store, especially when it comes to buying groceries, their cheaper than anybody.You would be surprised at what you can get for $20-$30, and it's all because of their dollar items : )

Which they would have more check outs it's like wal mart they have 3 registers and only 1 working with a line up to 30.minutes long and the cashier never gets in a hurry
