I’ve been a customer at Gurrs and Purrs for almost 3 years now! I wouldn’t go any where else, I have two doodles that get groomed there by Haley and she’s the best! The feel of this family owned business is astounding. They love my dogs and my dogs love them. I purchase my food there knowing full and well they make sure they have top of the line products! They were able to get my newly adopted pup in last minute/same day. Totally understood why she was in dire need of a shave due to prior grooming negligence by previous owners/shelter. They gave me advice on how to proceed so she can grow her coat back out and so that we can get her nails trimmed down to a shorter length little by little. My fur baby went in looking ruff and came out looking like the princess she is! Thank you for helping me restore her to her full glory. Wonderful pet food shop! Carry high quality brands, the only local spot to have SquarePet brand food. And they have a nice loyalty program to earn a free bag of food after so many purchases. I make the trip from NSB.

I took my pup there once for a nail trim and they took him to a windowless room,put earmuffs on his ears and filed down his nails. His ears weren’t even standing at the time that could have damaged his ears. They also don’t stand behind their products. The food they sell is guaranteed by the manufacturer. I was buying Farmina puppy and every time I got a new bag my pup would start off with diarrhea for the first few days. I narrowed the cause to the food. Dogs will get sick if the pet food company is bagging up the bottom of the barrel. Also it happens when the bags are old. Last week I called the black haired girl to tell her I have a new over 80.00 bag that was making my pup extremely ill to the point his poop was water. She was very dismissive and told me they don’t take back food unless I can prove their were bugs in it. She also told me my 9 month old pup could be sick because the puppy food that he has been eating for 5 months was too rich for him. I have been spending 200.00 a month since April on dog food there. In that time I have dealt with her attitude, the dark haired gentleman working there would never help me with 25 pound bags to my car. When I called the owners about my experience I never got a call back. When they wouldn’t stand behind their product and disregarded I was a good customer I went elsewhere to get my pup Fromm puppy from another dog food boutique. He had no transition because I wasn’t feeding him that bad Farmina food. He didn’t need transition the Fromm didn’t cause him any stomach upset. I tried to support a local small business but this one is lacking in customer service and customer respect. Not everyone spends 200.00 a month on dog food. Now I support a small business in Lake Mary.

Mandy did a great job on Bananas. I just got her and she was in need of a groom. I’m not familiar with dog grooming since I’ve never had a dog that required grooming before. Mandy made some suggestions and I went with it. We are very pleased with the outcome. She looks and smells great! The price was about $15 less than what I thought it was going to be.

Love , Love, Love this place. We have been buying our dog food for years on Chewy's website. We decided to shop local after always going into Gurrs & Purrs for just treats. After speaking with Kelly about our furbabies' allergy issues and them being on apoquel for years. Kelly suggested the Forza10 Dermo active food to try out for 6 months and see if that helps. It definitely has helped. 5 months later we went from giving allergy medication daily to our dogs and now we are down to just 2-3 times a week. They also deliver free for locals and are always so communitive about purchases and ensuring we are on the right track with our dogs. I can not be more excited that we found Gurrs and Purrs. They truly care about the health of each pet and human that walks in there. Thank you so much!

I met this marvelous couple while shopping in downtown DeLand. Rhonda and Kelly are two of the most passionate people I know when it comes to our four-legged family members. It is clear to me that money is the secondary motivation behind them being in business. Long story shi I have a cream English lab that is allery to about everything on earth,lol. I have been using apoquel,a drug used for relief other symptoms. They went out of their way to help me get her off this expensive drug and actually heal her without drugs. Free samples and special bubble pressure washing has helped her immensely. From grooming to healing, gifts and treats this place has it all. Jonathan and Alexia mind the 2 location s when the owners are not there, and they do a great job. Sorry woof gangs, we are making a switch to gurrs and purrs. 👍🐕

Can't say enough about the owners and staff as they are very concerned and helpful about your pets needs and have great information. Our Guide Dog for the Blind loved the store also.

Rhonda has customer service excellence. She is friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. Its no wonder her shop is so quaint and pleasant. Miguel felt the love as soon as he walked in the door. Paige his groomer did exactly what I asked spot on. Miguel enjoyed his stress free groom. The price is great and the service is excellent no more big box store for us. Thank you and we will be back.

Since spring, my 6 year old pit bull developed a skin rash. After several trips to the vet for allergy shots and meds I figured maybe it's diet. Stopping in at Gurrs and Purrs and having a conversation about my pup, We came up with a dietary plan to try out. I figured what's the worst thing to happen, he gets some good quality food and still has this skin rash. Within two weeks the rash dried up and was not inflamed. After a month the skin is flat and hair is going back. Thank you Gurrs and Purrs.

We stopped by for the 2nd time in the past couple of months. Our dog has not been doing so well, having a torn ligament and no specialist able to see her until the 2nd week of October.I asked about what some alternative pain relief might be helpful for our doggo, and the staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They provided us with some recommendations, along with the best way to go about administering it to our dog.They were very attentive and compassionate about our situation and our desire to keep our dog as comfortable as possible while we wait for her appointment.I highly recommend you check this place out if you have any needs for your animals. They will treat you well here!

Have been coming here for a few months for grooming and really like the whole staff, and how good they treat our pup. No matter who cuts his hair, he always looks great and isn’t anxious when we pick him up. Best thing about the grooming here, is that it’s one dog at a time. We really like that aspect. The absolute most helpful owners I've ever met for any business.We just adopted a cat in the area and have a 2 hour drive to get back home.The cat was very restless in my truck and wanted to crawl all over the place.Went into gurrs & purrs to buy a bed or some type of crate and and they were so accommodating with everything and even gave us a lot of free samples.In addition, the owner, Kelly, was very well educated and informed, And gave us a great education on the proper diet for our new kitten, as well as our dogs.

Our Maltese, Monti, loves Hayley his groomer!! She has given him amazing haircuts and is always so sweet and kind. I value the nutritional dog foods that are carried and their advice. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable, you can tell how much they love animals. The groomers are wonderful and are so kind, I love that they never put them in crates. They take one appointment at a time, and focus on you're fur baby. I'm so glad I found Gurrs & Purrs!

Staff untrustworthy! Beware, upcharging.Needed to have my little dog groomed here again, Refused to let me pay when I dropped off my dog so they could charge $10 more than quoted. $55 for wash comb trim shave around feet n rear plus another $10 for desheading. Staff can't be trusted.

Wow!! This is the BEST private pet supply store!! The sales associate Justine is SUPER helpful and friendly! She's shared all sorts of tips and advice, and she's let our Cedar try a couple of wonderful treats!! Also, she was able to get us in quickly to have the fur between his toes trimmed and to have his nails filled. The service was very quick and thorough, and the groomer was also SUPER friendly!! Prices are reasonable, and the products and customer service are top notch!!! I highly recommend this pet supply store!!!

These owners are so helpful. They suggested a kibble my fussy senior dogs just love and now they are healthy on the inside because it shows on the outside.I highly recommend the Ultra Oil additive for all dogs, especially if they are prone to itching and skin allergies.Order ahead and you can do curbside pick up - so helpful!

Haley did such a wonderful job on my little dog, Olive. She looks like a little stuffed animal, and I love that she put a bow in her hair . I would highly recommend.
