I went there to get a saltwater fish for my kids.and he was with me .one of the employees acted so weird and refused to sell a fish to me..He thinks that i dont have no knowlege about saltwater tank.I felt he was acting racist bc i was a foreigner …I just wanted to buy a fish for my kidHe threten me to call the cops on me ..It was just a fish !!!

I went there for 18 months every 4 - 6 weeksI loved and valued the serviceMy dog is a senior dog and he does need attentionThe last time I went there to get my dog groomed they told me my dog was in too much distress to come back and his grooming should be done at a Vets office.He was there 4 weeks prior and I was told he did great.I left there a wreck thinking the worstI did take the advice of the groomer and go to a Vet who told me that my dog’s stress was caused by an infestation of fleas and that Frontline plus is garbage .I was so upset over many things, I thought my dog was dying, then he is not ( great ) but all this anguish was caused over fleasWhy did Petco groomers not see the fleas?I was most upset by the phrase “ your dog is in distress “He is apart of me.My Sister came to the Vet , holding my hand as I was so afraid And then..,.,,,,The Vet also explained that “ Florida Fleas” are immune to such products as Front lineI waited weeks to post this as I have been so upset.My dog is now on a flea treatment prescribed by a Vet, he has a new groomer and is no longer in distress .Please be careful…By the way the prescribed medications are not that more expensive and well worth it.Give your pet the care it deservesPetco is not it

UPDATE as of July 2023: because of this review, there is now a note for our dog to not be booked at ANY Petco location—including the Coral Springs location on 441 (where we took him a few times since I wrote this review).If I could give zero or negative stars, I would!! We’ve been bringing our dog to this location for grooming for almost a year. There is always a huge discrepancy in the level of service we get, depending on the groomer I guess, but we always pay the same $. Most of the time it’s OKAY service at best, but he’s very low maintenance, so we only send him once a month anyway & groom him at home mostly. It’s also always a ridiculously long wait to get anyone to greet you, in spite of your appointment time. If you arrive on time, but they don’t get to you for one reason or another & check you in “late,” they will refuse service. It’s ridiculous. However, it’s a convenient location and connected to his vet, so we continued to go. This last time, our dog came home with a cut on his paw. They claimed he jumped onto a table and that’s how he got hurt. Our dog is very well behaved and doesn’t jump unless instructed to do so; BUT even if he HAD jumped onto a table, just look closely at the photo—they clearly cut him and are shifting the blame. Weird that his paw got cut in a straight line and the area is conveniently shaved down too, right? They sent him over to the vet side who sent him home with no treatment—no bandage, no ointment, nothing. They comped the service and the vet provided us with ointment and a wrap, but did not tend to the wound. In the grand scheme of things, it’s not a major injury, but the lack of accountability and lack of remorse is simply pathetic. Save your money and time. Go somewhere, anywhere else.

Jordan the sales person at Petco in Deerfield Beach on Hillsboro and Powerline helped me by providing more knowledgeable than I already had about cat food for senior cats with kidney disease. He was very nice, patient and took a lot of time with me talking about which wet food was low in phosphorus with is very important for cats with kidney disease. I see Jordan being a Manager very soon! Excellent professional knowledgeable employee & wonderful caring person! Thanks Jordan! My 20 year old bengal cat started eating again! She ate the wevura for a few days but now back to Fancy Feast! Thank you!

Friendly service. Only reason I have it a4 instead of 5 was because I was in to look for stuff for my baby aquatic turtle and they didn't have a lot to offer. For dogs, cats, fish and reptiles, amazing!

Love this store. Too bad Petco now wants to charge you 10cents for a bag...really. Maybe customers just need to keep the hand baskets and use them when coming to the store. They would be nice to use for other stores also....Free bags for products bought at Petco are the price of doing business. Don't even say this has to do with the environment. It is just more money in Petco's hands.

Weird doctor. Seemed angry and predatory. Asked me to do $1000 of tests instead of running an $80 urinalysis first. Definitely prioritizing profit.Edit: dog turned out to be fine when another vet treated her for the urinary tract infection. Based on my experience there I cant imagine lots of pets die dont because of mistreatment by Petco.

I always find a good selection of products at Petco. The store is always clean. The staff is helpful, courteous, knowledgeable and professional.I had to take my cat to Petco's animal hospital on an emergency basis. They took us in and provided excellent service. The vet's entire staff was friendly, comforting, knowledgeable and professional. They explained all procedures to be performed, and also test results, in detail and really put my mind at ease. I will take my cat here from now on. :)

Unfortunately I tried to call back to get some information in receptionist or the person that answered the phone was very unprofessional In articulate Disgusting and should not be answering the phone. Thank goodness you record your phone calls you can go back and find the recordand listen to her nonsense it didn't make any sense at all!!! Honestly I gave you 2 too many stars!!! The doctors were very nice and professionals unfortunately that one phone call ruined everything.

The worst. The doctor Dr. Luis Kishon wanted to charge us $700 and said he would send us to a cheap animal hospital. He was VERY NASTY. VERY. Rude. He didn’t want to give us medication for the puppy. I will be reporting this man to the medical board. He is the worst. Please don’t see this man. He is only out for money. Real piece of work. Do not let this man near your animals.He was very racist with my family because of our color. Will file a report.

I love this location ! They seem to care about the fish for a chain store.. I got couple of my fish here and one of them was not a good fit. And with no hesitations I was allowed to return/rehome the fish back to them. If you order online you can save a lot ..
