Extra Care Animal Hospital has been such a good place for our family - a true blessing! We have been taking our dogs here for many years. They are always on time, very clean, extremely professional, and super loving! I can’t thank Dr. Thannum and her staff Amber, Arlena & Kate enough for taking excellent care and showing compassion to both of our fur babies and us. I highly recommend her veterinarian office.

Best animal hospital around. I drive from Pompano to here every time my pups has an issue. Jody, the veterinarian, and staff are just incredible.My dog had a GI issue since he was a puppy. Other vets cost me thousands of dollars for nothing. Animal care is the only vet that spend the time listening and diagnosing the real cause. As a pet owner and proud dog mom, I trust the integrity of this establishment and feel safe knowing that my dog is getting properly cared for.This place is 100% worth the drive if you truly care about the health and happiness of your critter. Highly highly highly recommend.

Dr T cares so much about all the patients and I am so happy to have my dogs in her care whether it’s when an issue arises or for a wellness exam. She really takes the time to explain things to you. The staff is also amazing and so kind.

Dr. Thannum has been our vet for almost 15 years. When we first came to her at Extra Care Animal Hospital, we were seeking care for a medically-fragile kitten, and Dr. Thannum was highly recommended to us by my sister-in-law (a dog trainer and fellow animal lover). She exceeded all of our expectations from the very beginning. She has cared for our cats and dogs with complicated medical needs (autoimmune hemolytic anemia, hypothyroid, feeding tubes, cancer) as well as everyday concerns. She is exceptionally knowledgeable and will not hesitate to do additional research and consult with other doctors when she needs more information to provide the best care possible for your pets. She has consistently gone above and beyond for all of our animals, and I know she loves all of her patients as though they were her own pets. We cannot say enough about Dr. Thannum and her wonderful, caring staff. Extra Care Animal Hospital is the absolute best.

Truly a wonderful place to take your fury babies. The facility is kept nice and clean. The staff is all wonderful the ladies were amazing and most importantly the to the vet: You are truly a wonderful vet and you can see the passion you have. Dr Thannum and Amber are amazing!! I can’t say enough good things about this practice! They have saved two of my dogs lives against all odds and treats each and every animal like their own! I’ve been going to them for over 13 years now and would ever go anywhere else. They are always available and will make the time to see your pet and treat them. Prior to finding them I would go between different vets not really being happy or comfortable with any of them. Once I came here and saw the quick action, care, comfort, talent and knowledge I knew I’d found the best place for my babies!

So let me just say I have been to many vets in the various places I’ve lived and this one is above any beyond the best one I’ve come across. My family has been bringing our animals here for many years but I have only recently started coming as my own cat dad. All of the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and professional from the bottom up. If you want your furry friend to be in hands of people who truly care and are capable, then this should be where you take them

I started working at Extra care Animal Hospital a couple weeks ago, but i have known Dr. Thanum for about 15 years. She is a family friend, a great person and a true animal lover. The only veterinarian I have ever worked for that actually cares more about the patients health and happiness more than anything else. Every animal that comes in is treated like a star and is cared for like our very own. I don't know where you can find that same kind of care for your furry children than here! My wife and I have been bringing our dog Maui to this doctor for many many years like seven to be exact. she is a beautiful pitbull with a brain of a very very smart person and I must say she's smarter than most. we will only bring our dog to this doctor because she's loving and it shows when she walks into the room. Other vets are nowhere near as caring about their clients. The customer service and follow ups are terrific. I strongly suggest this vets office. Located right off 595 its only ten minutes from anywhere !!

Dr Thannum is an amazing doctor. I am not saying that, because I work here. I am saying it, because I see first hand how she treats her patients and how she only wants the best for each pet. She is very fear with her prices and does not order any unnecessary treatment. She tries to keep things very affordable. She loves building relationships with her clients and she is very accessible to her clients at all time.

Dr. Thannum and her staff have been taking care of our dogs for over a decade. It’s the best experience with a veterinarian we ever had. I highly recommend them. We also use them to board our dogs when we travel. It’s so comforting to travel and know your dogs are well cared for by people you trust.

My senior doggie daughter has always been terrified visiting the vet, but we have now thankfully found the very best care right in my neighborhood!
