Truly recommend. Last night was my first time going to a Drive-in theater and I was feeling skeptical due to the mixed reviews. However, it was such a fun experience. The staff were friendly and the environment was comfortable/relaxing. It was much cheaper than going to a regular movie theater (large popcorn hasa free refill which lasted us all the way home). We heard the audio perfectly through our radio and the screening was good. The best part is that for only $8/pp, you can stay for both movies playing that night. We saw a few kids running around playing, but it wasn’t a bother since we were in our car and the audio blocked their laughs/conversations. It’s super family friendly and good for dates. Only badish comment is that the bathrooms are really small, the one I used had a broken lock. Overall great experience and will gladly return regularly.

I love this place. $8 per person and it's more of a private viewing rather than sitting right next to strangers in a theater. Very nostalgic atmosphere. My wife has been coming here since she was a child and she loves it as well. However the food is terrible that's probably why the prices for food are lower compared to normal theaters. Just bring your own snacks.

What a great treasure we have in the Joy-Lan drive in. Places like this are pretty rare these days and I’m glad this one is so close to me. Prices are great and I like the snack bar a lot! They always have good movies playing, and you get to see two movies with your admission! I have a hard time staying awake for the 2nd one, not gonna lie. It starts LATE in the summer. So next time you’re looking to catch a movie, try out the Joy-Lan in Dade City.

Wish I took pictures, was my grandsons Birthday 🎂 so I wanted to him and the rest of my Little grandkids see what it was like to go to a drive-in theater 🎭 from what it was like from my Era, watched Kung Fu Panda 4, ordered Pizza 🍕, Cotton candy, licorice 🍬 🍭 soda, 🥤 popcorn 🍿 brought our lawn chairs 💺 kids thought to was awesome, they got too walk around be kids and weren't even yelled at because being outdoors and the speakers 🔊 playing off the radio 📻🔘, it was over powering any noise or action that may have been considered annoying 😅, it was great, they could disrupt but they couldn't make enough noise to interfere with the show.. what an epiphany that was

Half the cost of brick and mortar tickets. The only detracting quality is that the movies they screen are Wide screen and the White Billboard screen has seen better days and is not designed for widescreen. Oftentimes you miss pieces of the movie. The staff are awesome.. Food is fresh and amazing for what it is

What a pleasure to enjoy a movie in the comfort of your own vehicle! This was especially true for a long movie. We went to see Avatar The Way of Water, 3+ hours. Excellent flick BTW👌This was our 1st time at Joy-Lan but I guarantee it won't be our last. Through the radio sound and the picture quality were both great. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, NO complaints at all.↪️ Definitely a 5 star experience!↪️ Clean restrooms↪️ Dogs welcome👍

This place rocks. You can take the kids there and they can run around, watch the movie and just be kids. The adults can relax and enjoy a family night out without the people next to you being well the way most of them are nowadays let's say. But load up and enjoy the drive in again.Thank you for still being around so I can continue to take my nephew to the movies and really enjoy ourselves watching the movie and playing chase at the intermission and everyone that works there being so nice and kicked back but still professional.

The swap shop is on Sundays and is a nice litte pop up market that normally has food and flea market like stalls. Great place to find odds and ends.

This was cool to do during covid since many places are closed and we are all so bored trying to stay safe. We didn't visit the restrooms or concession area but it was a cute experience and worth the drive. After seeing concerning reviews about Fun-lan drive in, we opted to drive 45 min to Joy-Lan. Screen was good, audio was good and it was refreshing :)

Said to say the movie didn't start as they were having to "reboot the system" and gave no communication with the patrons. Disappointed because looking forward to a real driv-in movie 😢

So much fun! Check the movies, bring the family for a fun retro experience. They also have a Flea Market on Sunday morning. I get my veggies there. It's like a treasure hunt.

Classic drive in theater, even has the hang on the window speakers. Good concessions, decent prices, friendly staff. Please buy your snacks from them, It really helps their bottom line.

First half of the Barbie movie was unwatchable with constant speaker/audio issues coming through the car radio, with the speakers outside, and the ones you can rent. They should have offered partial refunds. Unbelievably disappointed. I’ve been here multiple times and this was the first truly subpar experience. I could not in good conscience recommend this place until the audio issues are addressed.

Not a bad drive in but would have gotten more stars if their wasn't a big bright billboard right next to the drive in. If you come here don't see a scary movie you won't be able to see the dark scenes, the glare is bad. Either that billboard needs to be turned off during movie showings or have a brighter projection to counter the bright light.

Had a great time watching a movie under the stars at Joy-Lan. Very affordable and social distancing was easy, never had to leave my car. Would definitely recommend you check it out.

Love this place. I've been enjoying movies here for over 20 years. Kids love it. Price is great. There's just nothing like a drive-in. It's our favorite way to enjoy movies on a big screen!!!

We love going here and always have a great time watching movies from the bed of our truck. The only downside tonight was the concessions. They were completely disorganized and all over the place. I missed 30 minutes of the movie to get a large popcorn with only 6 people in line in front of me. There were even bags of popcorn they had pre-prepped in warmers that they weren't serving. We will of course be going back, but if you rely on concessions to make money... step up your game.

Am at the Drive-in with my spouse. Haven't been to one in years! It's not overly crowded on a Friday night and it feels wonderful out tonight the weather is just perfect 73°. Will be watching Black Adam, the sounds thru our car speakers are great and the movie on the screen is fantastic. Enjoying the evening I hope everyone else is too. 👍
