We purchased a sweet little ferret who has taken to us beautifully. The staff truly care, I always see them working, cleaning and caring for the animals. It’s a lot to take care of, the building needs love, that’s an ownership ding not the care or concern for the animals. Also have a turtle we purchased over a year ago, he’s still healthy and happy, been purchasing feeder rats for over two years here never any issues.

What was once a family owned and community driven business has become a faint memory of itself.The store is in shambles, it is neither impressive nor reasonable that this establishment continues to keep its doors open. Structural damages, non functioning AC mixed with the lingering smell of death and visibly uncomfortable or dead animals. Frankly, I worry not only for the comfort and safety of these animals but for the employees who are exposed to a constant barrage of waste fumes.I was deeply saddened to see this once important part of the community in such a condition. I hope all works out for the family, but it might be time to call a spade a spade.

Went there today and picked up a pair of African frogs. I'm so happy to have finally been able to check the store out. The employees were very helpful and friendly. I can't wait to go back and check out the fish.

This place has really neat animals to look at and purchase but the smell of urine is so strong when you go in it burns your eyes. The last time I bought feeder rodents they had lice and were wheezing. I definitely don't recommend this pet store if you want healthy animals or have any value with your own health. The owner is super nasty when she gets called out on how bad the place smells too. Instead of fixing the issue, she makes excuses and attacks people on social media. Not a friendly lady.

This place should be condemned. As soon as you walk in the door you’re hit in the face with an overwhelming stench of urine. It’s filthy. The animals are not being cared for or cleaned up after. I spent only two minutes in the shop and couldn’t take it any longer. The odor of this place lingered with me for nearly an hour after.

This is the most unsanitary, disgusting pet store that I've ever been in. The awful smell hits you like a brick wall when you walk in. There are numerous dead fish floating throughout the various aquariums. Cages for other animals are unkept and unsanitary. Half of their ceiling is also missing. It's fine if you just want to run in and grab some crickets or pet toys or something, but I definitely would never buy a pet from this place.

First-time visitors, and we were NOT impressed. I can see why they are trying to sell the business. Tanks were dirty and not a large selection. Smelled bad and ceiling was falling in. Definitely a smell of mold or mildew.

5 years ago thus was a goid store they hve gone downhill since then. they use to xarry all kinds of fresh n saltwater fish now they don't carry a goid variety anymore. smell is so bad in there. high priced too. it's so sad hiw downhill they went.

Had a huge selection of birds and fish! Beautiful! If there had been a parrot forsale we would have came home 7.5 hrs to home with one! We have been looking for one for years and every pet shop we stop in we have no luck! They always have one or two, this one had three! Two lived there the one that was the biggest had been there for 30 years! He loved our son Dominic! Our son was singing and he was dancing right along! So stinking cute! I loved it! Thank you for letting us enjoy your baby! One was being taken care of while his parents were away on vacation! That is cool that they do that too! Everyone in the store was very friendly! They had little 🦈 sharks that were too cute too! And a few little bearded dragons 🐉 Thanks for letting us keep your birds company for a while!

Best experience.My son and I we're on a walk, as we saw and heard a guinea pig in the woods. I've took it home, bathed it and went straight to Fancy's pets.One of the associates was very insightful and very helpful. She had found out it was a boy and he was only a month in a half old.So she helped us with a cage food and the essentials that he needed.I would definitely recommend them. Thank you for your help on a new start for our new fur baby.

Gross and disgusting, the owner is lazy and yells at his employees when they feed the animals. This is the worst place I've ever seen animals being forced to live, it's more like a live-in butchery for how the animals are cared for. The animals can be cute, obviously, but this place is so shady... Seriously, if you at all love animals or even just are against animal abuse, don't give this place any of your money!

I love Fancy's and I have gotten several water babies here. I would give it 5* for the service and price, but I had to take away 1 because of how small the merchandise section is in comparison to the fish offered. They don't carry a lot of things that I need for the aquariums so you still have to go to Pet___(insert preferred big box Petstore)for that. Otherwise it is one of the few places I trust to get my fish. They even special ordered my frigs and dojo loaches for me!(*many of the fish and frogs are from Fancy's but the tanks are at home. "Items" in the tanks are not likely to be available there.*)

Someone please help this bird. He's plucking his feathers off and he looks so pitiful. They pluck when they're depressed. It breaks my heart to see this bird in this condition. He isn't for sale so someone can't buy him to rescue him. This store reeks of urine and it's in desperate need of a good scrub down. I don't know if it's lack of knowledge going on. But this store needs to be restored and cleaned up. I didn't wanna leave the one star because they don't deserve any stars. The health department needs to step in and do something before more animals have to suffer.

Small shop, with plenty of stuff for dogs, birds and fish, but if you're looking for anything for your cat, they have little to nothing...better to look elsewhere. They're also currently having some cash register problems. The employee had to figure out our total on a calculator, and hand write us a receipt. Not a overly bad experience, just a bit disappointing, and I had d to look elsewhere for what I wanted for our cat.

When I walked in the store I was overwhelmed be the smell. It smelled like water damage and uncleaned animal cages. While they had a variety of animals for sale they were very pricey. Every cage we went by was not clean and had flies surrounding them.

EDIT... I just bought a feeder mouse and by the time I got home, 25 min, it was taking its last breath and died!. I called the store and she said I could come back, I told her it was too far and I would come back early next week. She tells me they don't typically give refunds and I would need to come back by Saturday (2 days). Forget it. Will go somewhere else from now on.Nice pet store. Only place in town with live feeders. Very helpful staff.

These are by far the worst conditions I have ever seen for a hamster at a pet store. A jagged pipe for a house? Pine bedding which is toxic to hamsters. No wheel. And a BOGO sale when they are not supposed to be housed together after a certain age. Honestly, if you don't know how to properly take care of these animals then you have no business selling them. This is truly awful & very sad to see. Do better.

Loved the experience. Staff loved our Pomeranian and welcomed him even without a Leash. Loved the talking parrot that says hi and by as you come in and out.

I made the mistake of stopping by to get a few fish to add to my aquarium, they looked healthy but within 2 days my beautiful existing angels were covered in ick. Now my beautiful tank is sick. Beware of buying fish there.

Friendly staff, wonderful macaw. Sad he wasn't for sale. He will bite if you're not careful, but he does like to lick you if you know what you're doing.

This is my dog Alfie after being groomed at Fancy Pets, this is the second time in 3 years this was done to him. I will NOT ever use them again, I do not recommend them for grooming.

Never again will I go in this pet store! The smell alone will make you sick! Dead fish pet on the floor! I was stupid to buy 3 fish from them! They lasted 14 days and died! They give no guarantee on there fish! This place is disgusting and should be shut down!

Place is disgusting, the smell is horrible , dirty and the ceiling is falling down with insulation everywhere, poor animals… lots of dead fish in the tanks … yuck

Placed smelled terrible and lots of the tanks had multiple dead fish, not even fresh dead fish. Like that had sat in there with enough time for the bodied to be covered in fuzzy slim and they are breaking down.Saw soo many animals kept in way too small of cages. Plus most of the cages needed to be cleaned

When we went in, the roof was caving in and the smell was awful. It looked like mold had taken over the roof over by the fish tanks.I'm normally very lackadaisical when it comes to being too critical but my heart felt so bad for the animals. I feel like the store should have closed and concentrated on finding shelter for the animals elsewhere... I know that might be difficult but I'm sure that the conditions the building is in are not good for them. Especially birds 😔. I really hope they're making arrangements to find a new building or fix the existing problems. If I owned that store, the animals would have all come home with me until the problem was solved.

They had everything from cats to iguanas, and a parrot that actually greets you at the door. They say you have to find Nemo... they had Nemo!!
