The worst experience of my life with family pets. The business model to get animals donated, market them, fix them tag them, and track for life is not a business model that shows the animals' best interests. It's greed control driven and honestly sickening.I didn't even know they existed until a friend made a mess by adopting without knowing if she could care for a puppy. She is clearly an irresponsible 23 year old with an infant, and they still adopted her a hound mix on the spot (some "vetting" they did). The girl, who in no way should've been allowed to adopt an animal changed her mind and stupidly called the county to pick him up. I was able to step in and adopt him for my family after he was returned.I have an 11 yr old dog that wanted nothing to dog with the pup, but he loved to play with other dogs so we thought another pup to grow with would be good for him. We went back, they had 2 boxer mix brothers. Beautiful dogs and beautiful personalities from what we could see from the window.I paid 10 each dog so we could have a priority adopter tag, but this doesn't go toward the adoption fee. They already met my family with the hound mix so they waived them being at the meet and greet, which is irrelevant anyway bc there isn't much you can tell about a dog from meeting them in a park.My husband and I met the dogs and were indecisive. They were pushy and said we have to agree then or we lose the priority. First, I took one and then came back for the other after talking with my husband. The process was really quick I was very excited as well and didn't read through everything, which the lady was aware of bc I signed in seconds. No highlighted areas, no pointing out that I am marrying the shelter for the next 10-12 years. Just paid the 150 ea. dog, congrats, flip the card and take care.We got them home, bathed them bc they had dried stool all over them and set them up with crates and started our life with them. The next day, one of the brothers was very aggressive toward my old dog whenever he saw her. His behavior displays abused pup. He is extremely submissive to people and aggressive to dogs. So we were thinking that if we can't correct it, bc sometimes you can't, depending on what happened to them... that we would rehome just that guy.I posted 1 post on a rehoming fb group to see if folks would be interested just incase, with no intent yet bc we were just getting started. The shelter posed as a potential buyer then called and left multiple messages that they had proof that I was trying to sell the dogs and they were coming to my house with police to reclaim them.Needless to say, I was confused. The lady was yelling at me on the phone and asking me why would I do that, I explained, but she didn't like my answer and insisted on arguing with me. We waited for them and police to show up, just to tell them I didn't do anything wrong and to go away. The contract binds you to them for the life of the dog. They kept saying "bring us back our dogs" and per their contract (which should be illegal) they hold all the rights to the animal without any liability. We don't adopt animals from them we just care for them at our homes while holding all of the financial and legal responsibilities for them without rights to them and they get to reclaim them whenever they want based on how they feel. However much I understand they deal with the general public and they have to be careful, they aren't being careful. They are being negligent by adopting to anyone with an ID, controlling through a tracking chip (although they ask if you want them chipped on the way out as if they're not already) and then flex the law while it is not even a criminal offense to rehome an animal. I called everywhere and asked everyone. No one challenges them, so they get away with this behavior of selling animals and reclaiming them to sell again if you breach the contract and they find out. There is no trial period or even partial refund. They are theives. Please don't give them your animals or adopt from them

I adopted one rescue Kitty and I am currently fostering a adorable little hound with heartworm issues that this company is taking care of 100% I just have to make sure I'm responsible with my side. And it's all worth it for this little guy. 10 out of 10 would recommend if I can give more than five stars I would.

Best experience. Got to look at all the dogs same day walk in. More than willing to talk to us about our needs and the dogs. Was called when our dog was ready to go and brought him home 3 days later. He's a great dog, loves the dog park, rides great in car, loves the river and even gets along with his cousin cats so he visits our home often. We love him so much. Thank you guys!!

My husband and i firmly believe in animal adoption. We recently adopted a 5 year old terrier mix and could not be happier. The staff was beyond helpful, knowledgable and kind. A big thank you to all!

Be wary if you’re ever adopting a black cat. I went in looking for a young kitten and I found an energetic and friendly black kitten and decided they would best fit my family. I told the staff I wanted this particular cat and after waiting in the waiting room for an extensive period of time (and paying the price for a kitten), they brought me out a cat in a box. I left and when I returned home, a skittish, timid, scared cat, literally DOUBLE THE SIZE, came running out of the box. Immediately, we caught him to take him back and the office basically told us we got what we asked for. Even though after looking at his papers, the cat was already a year and a half old. The cat I asked for was three months at max. The cat I paid for was supposed to be a kitten and I got an adult, skimping me of some money in the process. This was about a year ago, and I have given this cat unconditional love, but he’s still (and forever will be) a timid cat. Not the kind of cat I wanted to adopt. Why even have the room to view the animals if you’re just going to give me what YOU want? Zero stars if I could.

Very upsetting situation.....I inquired about a dog named Boudreaux and asked a TON of questions about him before a first visit was made. My husband and I meet the dog and fell in love with him. The next day we brought our 2 sons to meet him and it was a great match. We again asked more questions about him and made it clear we had 2 other dogs and showed photos of them. We set up a meet and greet for Saturday 2/10/24 with Boudreaux and our 2 dogs. We arrived and the lady working turned us away stating that Boudreaux does not like small dogs and this visit shouldn't have been set up and wouldnt be allowed. Had the visit not gone well due to the dogs not getting along.... we would have gladly paid for his adoption or a donation regardless...This experience was absolutely horrible as we wanted to give this adult dog his forever home. I NEVER would have brought my kids to meet him if we knew the dog didn't do well with small dogs and someone had said that the first 2 visits we saw him. I now see 4 days later this dog was adopted....sounds like they had another plan for him and that's why they turned us away.....

Almost a month ago I adopted my first ever kitten Raquel (who I renamed Nala) and she was the youngest kitten there at the time (4m). Meeting her she was incredibly shy and in a corner away from the other cats. After having her for about two weeks she completely warmed up and is super affectionate and wild. Wouldn’t have asked for a better companion.

*Do not trust this low cost clinic*I never thought that taking my 9 month old kitten to a low cost clinic to be spayed would mean losing her forever. We waited 4 months on the wait list to have our kitten spayed. The day finally came on May 4th 2023. Our kitten was dazed immediately after surgery but we didn’t think much about it for the first 48 hours assuming she was still coming off of the anesthesia. By the third day she still hadn’t eaten and needed assistance to drink water. I attempted to call the clinic but it was a Monday and the clinic was closed so I left a voicemail. My voicemail was promptly returned the following day around 11AM. The gentleman who returned the call insisted that her behavior and illness could have nothing to do with surgery and offered to bring her in before 2pm that day. I explained how ill she was and that I feared that she might be dying. His response was that if she was that ill then we might need to take her to a full service clinic. I made an appt with a full service clinic for Wednesday. At this point our kitten still hadn’t eaten since the day before her surgery about 5 days ago. She was skin and bones with little life left in her. The full service clinic we brought her to advised an x-ray and blood work to rule out other illness. The blood work came back great other than signs of dehydration and inflammation. The x-ray showed excessive gas trapped in her intestines indicating a blockage in her intestines due to intestines being ligated. At this point we were advised that she needed IV fluids and surgery to repair the blockage. With just the blood work x-ray and fluids it cost us $650. We knew we wouldn’t be able to afford the surgery which would have been more than $1000. The vet informed us that we had the option of relinquishing our rights of our pet and someone else was willing to adopt and pay for her to have surgery. At this point we had to make the decision to either euthanize her or relinquish her. Ultimately, we made the decision to relinquish her I hopes that she would make it through the surgery and live. Our pet suffered 7 days of pain and came near death due to the careless work of vet who performed her spay. She should be ashamed of the work that she did. In the words of another vet a spay is a straightforward and this should have never happened. We needlessly lost our pet because of this and are devastated by our loss. We thought she would be safe under the care of the humane society but we were severely wrong. We thought we were saving money by bringing her here which is why we didn’t mind the wait but ultimately the $80 spay cost us $730 and our kitten who we loved so much. It should have never come to this.

We are here now with our dog, and no one called us last night to let us know what to do with his food and water. This is the first time we've ever had our dog fixed and this place is horrible! They don't follow any of their own rules so our dog had food and water till midnight.i looked it up on the Internet so I went by that bc their incompetent here.

Got my year old tabby from here. I'm pretty sure my tabby thinks she's a dog. Plays and is super interactive with my kids, husband, and I. Definitely recommend people here. Friendly staff. Easy adoption process. Animals are taken care of. Highly recommend.

Absolutely no help at all, My neighbor and I caught a Ferrell cat and brought it here in hopes of getting it fixed. We were told that there was no funding any longer. Obviously we left with the cat and let it lose again so it can breed with other cats which is exactly what it will do. Thank You Brevard county for nothing.

Google really needs to put a Negative Star feature.Took my cats here for spay and neuter. They all came back with Respiratory Infections and when I called the office to tell them they made my cats sick, the lady tells me quite quickly itd be $60 just to see & diagnose one of them. Like what, you wanna charge me for YOU getting my cats sick. I made the appointment anyways. My cats have never been ill, EVER.However, the day of my appointment the respiratory infection spread to one of our kittens, I tried to care for her, thought maybe it was just superficial cold but it became severe quickly so I drove to the emergency clinic in Viera, but she died in my arms literally minutes before I could hand her to the Vet.I'm honestly suspicious of the practices here, one cat maybe MIGHT getting sick I could understand, but ALL of them with the exact same symptoms within 1 night of getting them back & then my kitten dying in my arms because of this. Its beyond CLEAR to me, LIFE, is not the priority of this facility.Heres some pics of the life yall took from this world.

It is very unfortunate that this clinic does not have a better budget to operate with. The adoption area is crowded and smells awful. I don't even think it has A/C so it is humid and smelly.I adopted my cat Monica last week September 20 or 21 and a week later I had to put her down because she had a large stomach cancer. I was given papers during the adoption process that said I was getting a pet that had been checked and was healthy but in a weeks time from having her she was meowing in pain, was not moving much and barely eating baby-food just to get something in her tummy. It was a terrible experience for me and I did the humane thing and put her down with dignity in a loving supporting way. I just wish better effort was made to provide accurate bill of health.I do realize folks are voluntaries there and they do the best they can with the limitations they have and the volume of animals. There has to be a way to get a grant or more funding to support this organization. I do appreciate the thankless work you do for these animals.

I love how kind the staff is here! They are so nice to my 8 year old pitbull, Tiki- it's great. Because getting her to go inside for her 3 year rabies/distemper shots & a mail clip is do hard! That 65 lb, scared as can be, dog was not wanting to be there!

Great no-kill place for animals. They now have animals from Puerto Rico that need homes. They have animals from Hurricane happened South Carolina that need homes. Kittens and cats Galore. They all need homes. What a great job the people that work and volunteer there do everyday. Bless them. And lots of little bitty puppies too

Almost everyone was friendly, there was one woman working who was upset that the others were booking adoptions so close to closing time, and as much as I understand you want to go home, if you work in this type of job your first priority should be to get these furbabies a good home. Otherwise it was a great experience. We were able to interact with all of the animals, though social distancing made it a slower process than normal that was okay by me, we found the perfect cat for us and we were able to compete process and take him home that day. He has been with us a week and has already started to adjust to his new home with his cat sister and two dog siblings.

Amazing rescue today!Found a well fit for my daughter on a whim and the team at Cocoa location really made it happen for us! So grateful to them and happy for my daughter as 1st time adopter. Being late in the day and short on time I did not have a way to accommodate the "exotic" pet needs until late tomorrow and the crew working at this location helpful as they were, supplied us with basic essentials for the interim. So awesome also great because now I have an better idea of what to get specifically Overall, great experience!
